About this cottage rental
This recently renovated cottage is located on 60' of lake frontage on Otisco Lake. Enjoy everything lakefront living has to offer in a cute little package! The cottage is on a rare flat lot! There is easy access to the water from the sloping beach to take out the kayaks, paddle board or paddle boat. Take in the beautiful sunsets while sitting in the backyard by the fire! The cottage is located just 20 minutes from the Village of Skaneateles and 30 minutes from Syracuse University and SUNY Cortland.
Otisco Lake is great for the avid fisherman. It is especially good for walleye, trout and tiger musky fishing, while bass and panfish are also abundant. Whether you prefer fishing, tubing, jet skiing or just a casual ride on the water, Otisco lake offers it all. Come with your personal watercraft or rent one from one of the local marinas and dock right outside the backdoor at the personal dock (available May - September).
The space is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation for a small family. It has been recently renovated with brand new hickory cabinets, vaulted ceilings and beautiful wood trim. There is a large leather sofa and oversized chair to relax after a day of fun in the sun as well as a separate living space with full views of the lake. The open floor plan allows views of the lake and sunset from virtually every angle.
There are a variety of books and games to pass the time on a rainy day as well as 2 smart TVs where you can access your favorite apps with your personal sign on information. There is also a designated workspace in the bedroom to set up your laptop and catch up on emails or take a conference call with privacy.
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and utensils as well as a spice rack. There is also an instant pot, toaster, microwave and coffee maker.
There is a queen bed in the bedroom with large drawers underneath for plenty of storage as well as a loft with two twin mattresses accessible by ladder. Guests using the loft need to be able to navigate a ladder.
Although a lake front home is thought of as a summer destination, this cottage is the perfect getaway year-round. Enjoy the fall foliage, apple orchards, local wine tours, great hiking, downhill skiing, quaint villages and so much more all year through!
You will have full access to the entire cottage. There is a locked shed outside that we keep lawn equipment and some personal belongings in. Everything else is for your use!
We do live a few hours away, however, I am available by cell anytime you need. The front door has a wifi enabled keypad and we have cameras at the front and back doors with two way voice communication to help with anything that may come up.
The cottage is set on a small private road off of Otisco Valley Road. It is a quarter mile from a local convenience store and a marina where you can dock your boat or rent one for the day!

Cottage was clean but you should be aware there is limited closet space. Fine for a shorter stay,
Fire pit was nice. Neighbors are close as is usually the norm for these types of cottages. Overall the noise level was fine.

This was our first visit to the Finger Lakes Region. After biking for a week along the Erie Canal, we used this place as home base for adventures to the state parks in Ithaca and Watkins Glen, the Montezuma wildlife preserve, Seneca Falls, and Skaneateles. It has a well-equipped kitchen and great lake views. While there is a small grocery down the road, there is a Wegman's in Ithaca and laundromats there as well. We mostly enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the eagles fly and fish jump in the morning and seeing the stars at night.

Very nice cottage on the shore of Otisco Lake with a nice back deck and back yard for relaxing or using the firepit. Sunset from the back deck was awesome! Very quiet neighborhood. Provided kayaks and life jackets made for a nice lake experience. Heat pump worked well for heating or cooling. It was easy to get the interior temperature comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Provided amenities were plentiful. We had to run the hot water a bit before it was hot, but once we realized that it was very good. Very good communication and guidance from the host. We plan to return.

STUNNING views!!! Communication with Vicki was so easy, quick responses. Cottage really comes fully equipped with everything you may need! The only thing that was disappointing was the water situation. It is not noted anywhere in the listing about the water pressure problems. This was disclosed closer to check in date. It is an old well/septic system so the water pressure is HORRIBLE. Showering is interesting and if you have long hair, it will take a very long time to wash. The water pressure allows the water to slowly stream out of the faucet. Other than the water issue, good visit

This cottage is one of the best Vrbo places I’ve rented. It is clean , easy to get to, the owners have gone above and beyond to provide everything you may need! All of those little things you may forget are there. It is a quiet neighborhood. On the days it didn’t rain I loved drinking my morning coffee and looking over the lake. Not much is more peaceful than that! I highly recommend renting here.

The property was very well maintained and very clean, with great use of the space. It was right on the lake and we enjoyed using the kayaks and the fire pit while we were there. We did most of our meals there making full use of the well stocked kitchen and grilled almost every day. We took long walks with the lake view daily and ventured up to Skantealetes for some shopping. Would definitely recommend the property.

We stayed here for my wife’s birthday and it was perfect! Quiet, clean and the view was gorgeous. We had a wonderful weekend and would stay here again. Vicki was a wonderful host and so attentive she left a welcome basket and the house was stocked with everything you could need. My wife really enjoyed the kayaking and the fire pit was amazing. The only thing I would caution and this is by no means a deal breaker if you are plus size the bathroom will be a very tight squeeze but it was worth it for the weekend.

Perfect for 3 sisters' reunion
The cottage was exactly as it appeared in the listing. Ceiling fans were perfect for the weather. Vicki was incredibly responsive, and had so many helpful things available for guests - things you might forget, like marshmallows and bug spray. It was impeccably clean, had a gorgeous view, and ROKU on the TV made even the rainy times enjoyable. We'll be back!!

Fantastic Otisco Lakeside Cottage
Our stay at this newly renovated cottage on Otisco Lake, complete with a private dock for our boat, was simply fantastic. Vicki is an exceptional host/owner. The cottage is immaculate and was well stocked with EVERYTHING we needed (and more!). The special touches and obvious thoughtfulness that went into the planning of this rental/vacation property were too many to mention. But, we will say that the bed and linen made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

From the beginning to end it was easy. The owner was responsive and the Lake House was I like a doll house. Such attention to detail at all levels. It is pretty small but was just perfect for us. Extra supplies for your use and comfort were provided. The place was exceptionally clean and well organized. I cannot say enough about the owners. It is obvious they love the place and want others to share in it.
