Ancient building originally a hardware store storage. Wires stapled to surfaces, floors not walkable without shoes. Heated with kerosene questionable as to code violations.Never mentioned in listing steep stairs to enter. Clean but not worth the price paid.

We had a delightful stay! Cozy, roomy, waterfront home. Plenty of space for two. All the charm of an old farm house with wide plank floor boards, etc. Nice sunny, well stocked kitchen. Be sure to bring your coffee, cream and sugar. Beautiful view off the deck of the river. Located directly in the heart of Wiscasset next to Red’s and the rt 1 bridge, so expect to hear the traffic. You must climb a staircase to the home that is located above storefronts, so keep that in mind. Definitely not the place for someone looking for all the luxury conveniences of a 5 star resort, but a perfect place to stay when visiting charming Wiscasset 😊

Great location, right in downtown Wiscassett. Several restaurants within walking distance and a short drive to Damariscotta and Pemaquid Lighthouse.

This is a real home, actually an apartment. It is decorated with care and thought for the visitor. This is the reason you pick a private rental over a hotel. The hosts obviously care about their guests. Wiscasset is a lovely historic town and near local destinations.

The floors of this Apartment are VERY rickety and uneven. My husband and I almost fell several times. Wish the description of the listing had given this disclaimer. It is a real liability. It made our stay very uncomfortable.

Adorable, many historical artifacts decorate this charming, unexpected gem in the middle of Wiscassett with great views.

We loved the location, The deck looking out at Sheepscot River. Very close to Reds Eats. Well known for their Lobster roll. My first Lobster roll experience. Omg! The Best. And other Places to eat. Nearby a few shops. A new brewery. All within walking distance. I really enjoy the vintage apartment. The wooden floors and the old elevator. The furniture is also a great addition to the Vacasa. We were surprised at the picture of the area and especially Reds Eats. Great touch. My first Vrbo experience was a very good one. I definitely would recommend it.

Leaving a day early. Traffic noise non stop. Large semi trucks constantly. Can’t enjoy the deck for the traffic noise. Old Mattress dips toward the middle. Very uncomfortable. Small ACs do not keep up with the heat. No fans. Steep narrow stairs to lug suitcases up and down and across the street for parking. Expected not fancy but not rustic. Antiques and kitschy tried furniture.

This is our third time staying here. We came hear from California to visit family. The location is perfect; the apartment is quirky in a good way. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. If stairs are an issue this rental might not be good as there are about 18 steps to the unit. We watched the 4th of July fireworks from the deck. The best place in town for viewing fireworks.

No need to look any further. This place has everything you need for a short or longer stay. The views, the layout, and amenities were spot on. Looking over the river while having coffee was my highlight. I highly recommended this place and will definitely book again! 5 stars!

The unit was rustic, but amazing. It was decorated very nice. What was really amazing to me was the old wood flooring that I absolutely loved. The fact we had an old elevator in the unit was unbelievable to my wife and I, that was so cool. However, it overlooked the Sheepscot, which was an AMAZING view and we even got up super early to see the sunrise which did not disappoint. We did have an initial issue with accessing the unit, but the owner was on site and corrected it immediately. Would Definately recommend this place to anyone heading that way.

Nice historic apartment in a small town with lots of history. It is upstairs above art gallery. It’s only opened during the day so not an issue. It is next road, but that was not an issue since majority of the traffic was during the day when most people are not sleeping. Few different restaurants within walking distance. They are not open super late as is nothing around there past 8 PM or 9 PM.
Would definitely stay there again if we are back in the area. A lot of history with the building for the local area.

We enjoyed every minute. Best place we stayed while in Maine. Loved the old building and little town.

Great location, wonderful deck for wine and lobster right next door. Warning if you don’t do steps. It’s on the second floor. Workable kitchen and very roomy.

This was a great place to stay. It was spacious, clean, and a bit funky with very cool antiques. Loved the deck! The only negative is that I was there during the heat wave and there were AC units in the bedroom and living room but not the big kitchen, which was the best place to set up to work. It got a bit warm in there. I realize the weather was unusually warm but it would have been more comfortable to work if it had AC in that room.
I would definitely stay there again.

The apartment was very clean. Owner was very nice and helpful. The only issue we found was the road noise was a problem.

My husband and I were visiting family in Wiscasset and, for the second time, chose this riverfront accommodation. The unit is spacious, a bit funky, and super clean. Everything you want for a week’s vacation is there. The unit lacks a washer and dryer but there is a self service laundry a few miles from town. The highlight of this place is the large deck that overlooks the Sheepscot River. The location is perfect. There are about 15 steps to the unit so those with serious mobility issues might not want to stay here. I’m old and had no problem negotiating the stairs. My husband and I both highly recommend this place.

Central to many places in Maine. Nice that the owners live close by.

The place has soooooo much charm!! Plenty of room and what a view!! The town of Wiscasset is really nice, you can walk to a great restaurant, Water Street Kitchen and Bar. There was great information it the room. We did the walking tour! Cant wait to go back!

This rental made for the sweetest vacation. It places you in the center of the business district, with its adorable shops, and has the best view the town has to offer. Both morning and evening are gorgeous from the deck and the house itself is fascinating, comfortable, and spacious.

Space of apartment but with relentless highway noise.

We very much enjoyed everything about this rental. Even in 85+ degree heat, the breeze off the river kept the deck space & kitchen very cool.
Great location for exploring the coast or just walking around town & chill in out.

Condo was very disappointing. Yes we knew there would be steps to get in, but we did NOT know you had to park across the street behind a building and drag all your belongings down a hill across the street and up the steps to get in. The condo was old, we knew that in advance, we did not anticipate that everything was going to be run on power strips, one where an air-conditioner was plugged in was burnt. That air conditioner did not work. We unplugged it to be safe. The entire time we felt as though we were in a fire trap. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and would not return again. If I could I would give it a -10 star rating.

Lovely apartment, great parking, easy access to all that the area has to offer. We hope to be back!

My husband and I were visiting family in the area and wanted our own place during our weeklong visit. This apartment was perfect in terms of location, amenities and cleanliness. The expansive second floor deck has a great water view. The unit was spotless and we had no issues with anything. If you have mobility issues, this apartment would not be a good choice since there are about 20 stairs to the unit. This place has ‘funky charm’ and well worth considering on a visit to the Wiscasset area.

Condo with a View
Very comfortable bed and place to stay. The view was beautiful off the balcony! Happy to have a parking spot just for the condo too!

The property was very good. Just be sure to bring your own coffee; yes, a coffee pot (good kitchen, actually), but no coffee. Also, the internet was not available in the bedroom, but was good in the kitchen. The property owner guided me to the property when she saw me drive in, which was very helpful. Property across the street from the condo.

Bring your own coffee
You can tell what I needed the mornings I was there. The kitchen was very well done, but just a coffee pot, not a Keurig available. Also internet should be done in the kitchen, not the desk in the bedroom. Otherwise the view over the bridge was good (even with fog), the area very walkable, and the condo was in the middle of downtown and shops, good food nearby.

Stop your search! This is the best apartment in midcoast Maine. We spent a most memorable summer here—eating delicious food in Wiscasset, swimming and walking at the nearby preserves, exploring the region, and enjoying the perfectly peaceful view from the porch.
We wouldn’t change a thing.

Beautiful little apartment, the view from the balcony was excellent, and there's a delightful little coffee/ice cream shop practically underneath it, in the little nook between the building and Red's. A lovely relaxing stay
