We loved staying at Rivercrest and would book it again in a heartbeat! For our family of 5, Rivercrest had the perfect floorplan. We could sit out on the deck and listen to the river, play corn hole (we brought our boards from home), and just relax. Fishing in the river was 10 steps away. We loved getting to watch the beaver across the river adding to his damn and playing in the water. The kitchen table was perfect for playing games. When/if we return to South Fork, CO, we will book Rivercrest again!

Urine covered toilets, empty beer cans, and no hot water upon arrival. Don’t expect more than help over the phone. After fixing the hot water heater myself and wife starting her week off by scrubbing down entire bathrooms, the weekend could finally start. Aside from the indoor issues, the location next to river is excellent and we caught plenty of trout. Outside is great. Inside, extremely disappointed due to the cost and time wasted.

When we first walked in the place smelled, contacted management they said open windows, thanks captain obvious. Rodent droppings between fridge and stove. Loose boards on the deck causing tripping hazard. Windows were dirty with spider webs on outside of windows and cabin. Trash in garage was half full when we arrived. Bears got in neighboring cabin, not management’s fault, but we could have been warned. I was expecting more of a experience especially for what I paid.

This was a very nice cabin that backed up to the South Fork River. The mountain side was a beautiful view; we saw otters in the river and deer on the mountain. The house was clean with plenty of kitchen supplies. The bathrooms were nice with very hot water and strong pressure. The hot tub was easy to use and ready to go. TV was also easy to use with plenty of options. The river was frozen so we were unable to fish as we had hoped but we walked across the street to the fly shop and spoke to them about the area and options. Nice people. Overall, we had a nice and relaxing time. Views were spectacular!

Made a quick trip up to South Fork to play in the snow and look at property. This house was perfect for our group of 8 (two couples, two teenagers & two under 13 yrs old). Slept well, plenty of room for cooking, lots of card playing and the house was comfy with good water pressure. Checked off all the boxes for our group. i'm planning to stay again in the summer when i can take advantage of the fishing.

We were looking for a house by the creek with a hot tub and a way to have a fire outside. This place was everything we'd hoped for. South Fork was a quaint community. While we were not familiar with South Fork, we loved it and will be back. There was mention in other post of spiders. Yes, there were a few spiders but it was not a problem. There were some lights burnt out that needs to be addressed. Cushions were not available for all outside seating due to them being torn and located in the garage. Easy fixes. Not mentioned in the description, there IS a Keurig coffee machine in addition to a regular coffee maker (including coffee). The cabinets were stocked with things that we needed to cook. In addition to the outside gas grill, there is also a charcoal grill as well. We had a delightful trip and I highly recommend this property.

The home was great! The only problem was the clothes dryer didn’t get warm enough to dry the clothes! The river and the backyard was super; highly recommend! Would definitely stay there again! 🤠

Gorgeous mountain cabin with endless fishing!!
This was the perfect getaway home for our family! It had everything we needed: fully functional kitchen, plenty of bedrooms, impeccably clean, with instant access to the Rio Grande river for hours and hours of fishing! The hot tub was a nice added bonus. :-) Would love to come back next summer.

Perfect vacation property
We loved staying in this cabin! It was very clean and the location couldn't have been better. Well stocked with plenty of towels and extra blankets and pillows. We can't wait to plan our next vacation here. Only issue we had was the dryer wasn't working very good so it took a long time to dry clothes.

Great mountain cabin getaway by river; property needs some maintenance
We had a great time at this cabin for the second half of our spring break. My husband and my two boys (ages 9 & 6) loved walking right out to the river to fish and we all enjoyed the outdoor hot tub - great star gazing! We also had a campfire in the firepit on our last night. The cabin itself is spacious, comfy and well-decorated for the mountain getaway theme. We had some maintenance problems - toilets not flushing, lights that wouldn't turn on, a huge rat trap in the dining room (yuck) and the master bedroom was freezing cold. The electric stove in the master didn't work and when we turned up the heat overnight, it sounded like we were sleeping in a wind tunnel. The master bathroom was also cold and had a weird saloon/outhouse style door on the toilet. Also, the master bed was hard as a rock. Luckily we had plenty of available rooms for the 4 of us, so we just moved to a different room after the first night. There wasn't much going on in the town. We only went to the grocery store and the fly shop. We decided not to venture out to the restaurants - there weren't many and didn't seem to be a lot of people out and about. Overall we were pleased with our stay and the cabin. The views and access to the river could not be beat.

Nice place.
Very nice house. Main downfalls, we had some kind of critter making noise in the walls and leaving poop on the floors in the night, master bedroom stayed cold and there needs to be a new large pan for stove top. The one there looks like someone used it like a baseball bat. This is the 4th or 5th time we've stayed here. The management is awesome and really prompt and nice(thanks kristi!) I'm sure they'll resolve these issues.

Nice cabin by the river
Overall was a great spot. The kitchen supplies could use a little updating (pans with Teflon peeling off, etc) and the heater turning off and on is super loud in the master, but it’s a great location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Riverfront Property
Great spot with good view of the river as well as a boardwak out to the edge of the South Fork of the Rio Grande. We were a group of 4. A couple and two of my adult children. I think the property works for 6 to 8 well. It was more than perfect for our group. I have stayed at 2 other properties in the South Fork area over the last 4 years. I liked this property best for location to all things close in town including groceries and restaurants. Loved it and spent almost every evening recovering in the hot tub. I also loved that we had use of the garage and this made it even feel more like home. The only problem was the internet speed was at times not as fast as I would have liked for my work.

Relaxing in Colorado!
We rented the property for 5 nights. Great location. Great scenery. The deck and the river in the backyard was a real plus. The inside of the cabin was nice and clean. The only problem I had with the property was the large amount of cobwebs on the outside of the windows. It really takes away from the initial good feeling you should get when you first arrive. After removing whatever webs I could reach we really liked the place.

Fun stay! Lovely river front backyard. Beautiful home. Comfortable beds. Big bathrooms. Good size for our group. Would stay here again. Only less positive thing is cobwebs (which we all know can appear overnight), and outdoor maintenance.

Great location!
The home is in an amazing location right on the south fork of the Rio Grande river...you can walk out in the backyard and fly fish! Easy access to the grocery and restaurants in town. The interior of the home is very clean and manageable. Beds, bathrooms etc all nice and very functionable. It is a dated home, but that was perfectly fine as it met the needs and expectations for our family. All the members of the family stated it is a very comfortable, enjoyable property. The only negative is the outside of the home. It needs work. The deck was in need of repair, paint. Spider webs covered most of the windows and the exterior was very dirty. It would have been nice if the cleaning crew at least swept the deck. All in all, a very good rental and I would recommend to anyone interested in outdoor adventure in Colorado

Wonderful stay at Rivercrest & South Fork, CO!
Me & my husband took our 7 grandchildren to South Fork, CO & we were fortunate to enough to stay at the Rivercrest house! The setting was perfect with the Rio Grande right out our backdoor, such a beautiful sight to wake up to go out on the large deck & enjoy the beautiful scenery & even the wildlife! One morning three deer were walking on the mountain side just across the river. One of our grands captured them with their iPhone!
I also want to thank Darla with the ease & assistance of checking in & to Denise for providing such kind service! Due to their expertise & a great property in the perfect location we will highly recommend this property & we hope to come again next year!!!
