About this cottage rental
This is one of the most unique lodging options you will find in Hocking Hills. We have dreamed of a "Modern Farmhouse Design" for some time and are finally making it a reality in 2020. This Cottage boasts an off white, board and batten exterior siding, medium brown rough sawn trim and black metal roof. The handrail is constructed with heavy timber handrails and rebar spindles to add to the industrial feel!
The interior walls are white square edge siding with beautiful douglas fir highlights. We added Sliding barn doors, heavy metal hardware and industrial lighting to give a modern yet cozy "farmhouse" feel. The great room has a beautiful corner wood burning fireplace. All of our porches are covered and we added an outdoor wood burning fireplace on the deck so you can cozy up to the fire with your special someone! Our deck also has a beautiful tile outdoor dining table and chairs along with a hot tub. You and your friends and family will also enjoy our outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill for delicious meals.

Cozy cottage was amazing! Super quiet and relaxing, the covered porch, fireplace and hot tub were just what we needed for some R&R! Was easily 20 minutes from everything. It was well stocked, clean and fresh looking. Bed was very comfy. There is firewood to purchase, and they provided towels for the hot tub. The only thing I would say is that the TV is hard to watch being so high up on the mantle, but not a horribly big deal. Nice sound bar as well. Will be back again some day!

So peaceful! Clean and cozy. Loved there was an overhang for the hot tub and deck just in case it was raining. That was huge. Close proximity to downtown Logan breweries and restaurants.

Overall was a great experience. Felt cleanliness of cabin could be improved. Cell service doesn’t exist but WiFi helped out. Loved the indoor wood burning fireplace!

We had a wonderful stay at the modern farmhouse cottage. It was so easy to find and is in a great location. The cabin itself was nice and cozy! It was nice to relax around the fireplace, though the tv was set at such a high angle it was awkward and uncomfortable to watch. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, the hot tub was lovely. Overall we had a really nice stay and would love to go back.

My husband and I loved this cozy cottage. We look forward to coming back with our kids at a later date. We loved sitting on the back deck being surrounded by the woods!

My husband and I returned to property for second time. Absolutely beautiful views, cabin is well stocked. Away from town but close enough to all trails for short drive. Highly recommended!

My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary here, and we were blown away by this place! Clean, beautiful, well maintained, secluded, and simply amazing! This is a must stay if you are in the area… you won’t regret it!

The cottage is perfect a weekend getaway. This was my 2nd time to the property and my wife and I have really enjoyed it. The fireplaces, hot tub, and proximity to the parks is wonderful.

What an amazing little getaway we had at this amazing cabin. It is nestled in the woods and truly just felt magical. It was very clean and decorated so cute. We hope to be back! Thanks for an amazing place to celebrate our 10 year anniversary!

This cottage is exactly as advertised and is charming. It also has extras that other cabins we've stayed in don't, such as nicer linens and towels (plenty of towels), a few k-cups and tea bags, hair dryers. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace and outdoor table. I definitely recommend!

What a cozy beautiful cabin wonderfully decorated. Has a nicely appointed kitchen to make all your meals and sip on your favorite beverages. The outdoor porch with high ceilings, hot tub, fireplace and patio table make you stay outdoors. Was here in summer but would be perfect for a winter getaway too! Close to stores and wineries. Had an absolutely memorable weekend!

My husband and I spent a few days at this cozy cabin for our honeymoon. We loved how private it felt, and appreciated it wasn’t too close to the more “touristy” areas. The cabin was perfectly clean and just like the listing. The hot tub was so nice, as was the porch. They have WiFi and a smart TV so we were able to log into our own streaming services and watch TV in the evenings which was a bonus for an area with poor service.

It was a really nice place overall. Bed was comfy, house was clean, we had a good stay. A few things that would’ve improved our stay would be some very basic provided amenities - soap in the shower, salt and pepper in the kitchen, more than 1 mornings worth of coffee, a sponge since there’s no dishwasher, etc. It felt like they were cutting corners to save money, and while I understand it’s a business, a few items would’ve made us feel more welcome.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our visit to the Hocking Hills area. It was impeccably clean and picture perfect. The beautiful pictures on the listing are exactly what you get. The cabin is about 30 minutes from hiking trails in Hocking Hills. The wifi was strong for the evenings when we were relaxing. We enjoyed cooking our dinners on the fire pit and relaxing in the hot tub. I definitely would choose this cabin if we visited the area again.

This was the perfect retreat for our sister weekend! The home was so clean, cozy, and welcoming. The hot tub was also a wonderful place to hang out and catch up! Responsiveness of host was impressive and check in/out was a breeze! Thank for you a great experience. We will be back!

When we saw this cabin on line we had to book it ! It was everything that was described. The side covered deck was where we spent a lot of our time. The hot tub was well needed after miles of hiking and the outdoor fireplace added the perfect touch! The bed was very comfortable and the the bathroom was clean. We definitely plan to come back and stay in this same cabin. It was tucked in private drive and surround by woods. Although there were 3 other cabins on this road you couldn’t see them and definitely felt very secluded and peaceful. Mike was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. Can’t wait to return !

It was a nice stay. The place was pretty clean. Only turn off for me was I thought the bedding was a little dirty. I could see stains on the outer blanket. Some stains on the pillow case's. Im glad we brought our own pillows. We actually disnt use the blankets on the bed and slept on top of the flat sheet. Other than that, it was a nice.

The weekend was prefect! The cabin was as cozy as described, clean and amazing all around! The hot tub and fireplace outside made for a great, quiet rainy evening. I do not have 1 negative thing to say!

We arrived at 3:50, just 10 minutes early. Someone was on the deck, using a hand skimmer in the hot tub. He looked startled to see us there. He quickly flung water out with the skimmer a few times and then went inside the cabin. He came back out at 3:59. We went inside and put all of our things away and I saw that there was a pile of dry mud on the couch and more on the floorleading to the door. I cleaned that up so that I could sit down for a fee minutes. Then we got ourselves cleaned up and changed into our swimsuits to get into the hot tub. We partially lifted the lid and saw that the temperature was only 90°. We messaged the owner and we're told that the hot tub had been "maintenanced." Disappointed, we decided to take a nap while the temperature came up. We went back out a few hours later later and the temperature had come up, but once we fully removed the lid, we realized that the hot tub was half empty, and there was a dirt line all the way around the tub. And the stem portion of chlorine floater was completely missing. There was just a busted open top piece floating in the hot tub. So what little water was in the hot tub, was completely untreated. Feeling very frustrated, I messaged the owner again. He said he'd send maintenance over to look at it. This was already 8 pm. To make matters worse, we had bought groceries to cook out on the grill for dinner, but we weren't able to do that. The grill is located in between the hose they'd be using to fill the hot tub and the hot tub itsef. So we were forced to go into town and find somewhere to have dinner while they came to fix the hot tub. They filled the hot tub and put a new chlorine floater in. The new water dropped the temperature to 64°. The hot tub was obviously unable to be used until the next day. So for half of our stay, the hot tub (which was the only reason we reserved the cabin) was out of order. All the owner had to say was that 'things happen with machinery.' That had absolutely nothing to do with machinery. It was solely the owner and his housekeeping/maintenance people not doing their job. The nightmare continued when I went to use a dish for the first time and saw that there were mouse droppings in the cabinets, on the shelves, in the drawers, and in the kitchen utensils holder. So before we could even make coffee, I had to run a sink full of hot dish water and wash all of the dishes. I also had to put our pantry food in the microwave to keep mice out of it. Worst experience

The cottage was perfect with comfortable beds. The top blankets were pretty light, so I recommend packing an extra blanket. We had food in baskets on the counter in sealed bags, and when we went to bed, we could hear noises of mice. We went out to the kitchen to find droppings all over the counter. We took all the food out to the car and sanitized at midnight. The next morning, we found additional counter droppings and more in the cutlery drawer and bottom pots/pans cabinet. We also found a dead cockroach in the windowsill. It was a little overwhelming. The host offered to bring sticky traps, but we didn’t want to use them around our kids. We only had a two night stay, and on the second night, the dropping were very minimal as food was kept in the car. Having known the critters were an issue, I would’ve stored food in car from the start. With the inconvenience/lost food, we were hoping the host would discount our stay. They did allow us an extended hour for checkout the next day when I inquired.
