Beautiful location, neglected property

The location was great

The room was ok, the bed linen was too small for the bed, the private bathroom was out in the main hall extremely small with black mould around base of the shower, an dirt on the door frame, the walls of the room were flaking, their was a living area off the bedroom with access to the kitchen neither doors locked, the view was nice however one of the windows was completely covered so really restricted the view. The building is in a beautiful area, an has potential to be beautiful but myself and my partner feel it's very neglected which is such a shame

Good clean and well presented

Although we arrived later than expected we were warmly welcomed and shown to our room , it was clean and well presented , a large screen TV was in the room and plenty of plug points for all the devices we had with us , the room had an en suite toilet shower room , a small window with a sea view , bed was comfortable , although right on the shoreline the room was adequately warm and comfy , parking is street parking and safe with cctv monitoring . If in the area again would consider staying again .

the front door was a bit difficult to lock but i managed to lock it with a bit of effort , the TV had a firestick to view programs with but we were unable to get it to operate or connect to the Wifi , hot drinks making was provided but only tea was provided in the room , we would have preferred coffee but there was not any provided in the room , other guests were a bit noisy and we could hear them being sick , it was a bit unpleasant , but i was informed via text message the host did make sure this would not happen again and the guests making the noise were barred from returning to the property , we did choose to leave early in the morning and that was not a problem , reasons were to avoid traffic jams and the noisy guests were a contributing factor in our decision to check out early and not stay for breakfast

Fabulous stay

I love Nancy, the dog the most. I love how dog friendly it is and sitting in the living room chatting with other guests was brilliant. Also loved the bath, it was great for me to get into after my 06:30 swim in the sea.

That I couldn't sneak Nancy the dog into my suitcase.

Fabulous- views and hosts with the most 🤗

The Views from the bed/bedroom and the lounge were amazing ..hard t top. Coupled with the fabulous reception by Alex and Deb warrant 11/10!!! 🤗

The bathrooms were a little wonky and cold but the positives far outweigh. Sorting them would make it absolutely the tops. Breakfast wasn’t up to much, but again not really an issue.

exceptional location, friendly people.

location fabulous, right on the headland. exceptional. informal arrangements. did their best to provide vegan breakfast and very flexible with checking in and check out. would def go again

clarity around when the house is a b and b and when it is private. but not the other hand it was all pretty relaxed and good to meet others.

I AM COMING HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN

I cant express myself much in words here. I was supposed to stay for one night but THE VIEW, the host, the DOGS, made me stay the other night as well, even though I had to cancel my next stay at Manchester for a significant loss. But this loss was worth to stay here next day as well. With the perfect view, along with the best people, I felt no difference than a home. I remember asking the host, "Hey, CAN I PAY MORE FOR THIS STAY?" I met the best people, a best experience, memorable moments. Just within 36 hours.

I wish I had something to criticise. If only I could say I wish the sun could rise and set at the same location every time ;););)

Dirty B&B with bad host!

Nothing.

Unclean towels in the room, complicated entrance (the host did not answered). We have to make the breakfast by ourselves (the host provided us 4 eggs, milk and juice and a chance to make the breakfast by ourselves)! Dirty blankets. Never come back again.

Messy...

Position was great with an amazing landscape on the Tyne bay and just a few steps from the Tynemouth city centre. Greame and her dog Winter are lovely. Honest price for a night.

Unluckily the shared bathroom was very bad and old. It needs a huge refurbishing job. No ventilation at all. The window there was sealed and no fan system. Everyone can imagine the smell and the huge humidity grow often in the bath. Kitchen was disorganized, messy with old utensils and a pretty rough cleaning condition. The bedroom door was cracked, I was hearing all the noises coming from other rooms. Breakfast? Well, it was a random selfservice from shelves and the fridge (industrial products with last day expiring discount label price attached too!).

Great place if you do not care for "nice details"

The location is extremely beautiful Everything you need is there Helpful host, nice and friendly house-dog

We got the small room with a shower next to the bed, but hardly enough space to open at least one suitcase without putting it on the bed. This room also had no "view" (unless you count a pidgeon on the roof and the view through the glass roof of the gaming room). THe room would be suitable as additional room for kids with parents staying in one of the larger rooms. Though everything you might want is there, eg for breakfast enough stuff there but "just dumped on the counter", without any attempts "to make it nice"

A very pleasant overnight stay. Would be happy to stay longer.

Graeme was very welcoming, accommodating (2 large wet dogs!) and helpful. It was good to have the owner around and he laid on an exceptionally good selection of (non-cooked) food for breakfast which was help yourself and very relaxed. Our room was clean and comfortable with TV, wifi and tea/coffee making facilities and a great view over the estuary.

Please change the WC seat in the shared bathroom - the lid wouldn't stay up on it's own, very annoying!

The room was maybe a little to expensive for the price struggled for space for clothes as the drawers didn’t open, stuff under the bed, not the cleanest bedding it was defo different to the pictures on the site linked to this room, initially booked for me and my girlfriend but change of plans meant it was me and a friend and I’m a little relieved as I don’t think she would have been to happy. But staff were great.

Friendly staff great views the second room was a lot better for me to be able to get in bed but still no TV..

That there was no TV in bedroom I have a lot of health problems and sometimes can't sleep because of pain. So no TV was a problem. Also we moved rooms because the first room had to much furniture get rid of the draws and wardrobe and get a wall rail and shelfs.

Ab fab!

We absolutely loved everything about The View, the location for meeting our family was amazing, views from the property fab, kitchen had everything you needed, comfy living area, penthouse bedroom with 2 balcony was beautiful, we will definitely be back!

A cosy and comfy place with lovely surroundings.

Spent 2 nights with my partner. We had a lovely sea view and two comfy twin beds. I at first was worried about the shared bathroom, but it ended up being no issue, was always clean and other guests respected your privacy. Everything is as advertised, including breakfast, which is available in the kitchen downstairs in the mornings. The landlord was informative and pleasant to chat with! Lovely walk on the way there too. Couldn't have been to a better place! :)

The soundproofing wasn't fantastic, meaning you can hear other guests talking late into the night, however, this is a minor issue and largely didn't affect my stay.
