OVERVIEW:
McMinnville's Third Street is home to a number of tasting rooms, coffee shops, and award-winning restaurants just a short walk from Hideaway House. The charm of the tree lined streets in downtown McMinnville is part small town, part wine lovers paradise.
There are over 220 wineries and vineyards in and around McMinnville. So start early, but take your time because there is a good chance you won't get to each one on this stay. Shoot for 3-4 wineries in a day but don't be disappointed when you only make it to two. This means that you're enjoying yourself.
GETTING AROUND:
Have your walking shoes ready because you can get to everything you need on foot from Hideaway House. That includes tasting rooms, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and a local grocery store.
If you feel like driving or hiring a car service, you're in luck. You'll need weeks if not months to tour the wineries and vineyards in the Willamette Valley. You are welcome back anytime!
If you would rather let someone else do the driving, Uber and Lyft can be used. Though they aren't as readily available as they would be in bigger cities, with a little patience you'll still be able to get around.

casey mclane welcomed us to this property for an extended visit. Casey is a wonderful host and this was the perfect location and base camp for us to visit many wineries and restaurants in the area. Easy couple of blocks walk to 3rd Street breweries and wineries. Hideaway House is very, very comfortable and very, very clean. Lots of extra amenities are provided: extra towels, nice cookware, white noise machines in the bedrooms and throw blankets for couches inside and out. The backyard area is especially enchanting. I highly recommend a stay here.

The Hideaway House had the best attention to detail of any VRBO I have stayed at. We choose our stays based on backyard accommodations & this one excelled. The propane firepit worked out great on a rainy night. Easy walk to downtown McMinnville. Our host was quick to respond & very gracious!

Hideaway House is an outstanding base for a wine tasting weekend. The location is excellent; it's on a quiet street, yet we walked most everywhere we wanted to go in town. It felt more spacious than the photos indicated. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the details. We especially liked, and used, the white noise machines in the bedrooms. And Casey is a fantastic host, very communicative and even kind enough to let us back in after checkout to retrieve our leftovers! :-) Wonderful stay.

My family of 3 stayed at Hideaway House over a holiday weekend while visiting the area. The house was perfect for our needs. I was very pleased with the property, amenities and attention to detail from the host. The house was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and nicely decorated. We arrived in the late evening, and it was dark out. The host had left on low lighting and soft music. It was just one of many little touches that made the property extra special. I would stay there again.

Of all of the vacation rentals we have stayed at, this one was the most like being in a place you could live. Things in the kitchen and bathrooms we exactly where you'd expect them to be. It was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. We loved the layout of the house, the quiet neighborhood environment, the lovely gardens and large yard, comfortable bed and equipped kitchen. Communication with the host was prompt and very warm and friendly, and helpful. Honestly, you can't go wrong staying here - oh, and walking distance to town is the cherry on top! Go! You'll love it!!

Hideaway house was the perfect place for us to stay as we toured the vineyards around McMinville. Casey was quick to respond to us and was very welcoming. This was the cleanest place we have stayed in Vrbo. Neat, tidy and cozy. And the back yard was spectacular. So beautiful! Thanks Casey for having us there!!

This was the perfect place to stay in Mack (as we learned the locals name for McMinnville) with an Absolute superb host! We loved the uber clean, stylish mid century modern house that had all of our needs accounted for. We love to cook and this house had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy with sound machines and all for a great nights sleep. We were within walking distance to fun 3rd Street with all of it's taverns, shops and restaurants, but had a hard time leaving our beautiful and impeccable back yard and cozy indoor fireplace. Casey could not have been better. He was easy to reach and professional, but also a kind and genuine person. Thank you for an amazing stay!

The house is in the most perfect location and I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a better kept rental property! The house had so many thoughtful touches (local coffee, tea and what rental gives you olive oil, Ziploc bags, and the most perfect containers for leftovers or in our case tailgate picnic ware?!). Perfect communication truly the best! Thank you so much!

Beautifully appointed home with a beautiful, large, private backyard for your every outdoor bbq need. Very clean and quiet. The kitchen has everything you would need shpuld you prefer to cook meals at the rental. Very conveniently located in town, but very quiet. Look no further. You've found it. We will absolutely be back again! Loved our visit!

This is the 2d time we have stayed here. Casey is a great "landlord" ... he was very responsive to our every need. Premises are clean and well-furnished.

They’re are a lot of good things I could say about this home, from the location being walking distance to restaurants to the home being updated - but nothing beats the back yard. They have apple trees, berrys, hydrangeas and soo much more. We all enjoyed spending time around the fire pit every morning. We enjoyed this home and will be back.

Casey is a great communicator and has thought of every detail a visitor might need. The house is very well appointed from kitchen utensils, great bedding, bathroom essentials to little homey touches everywhere. The outdoor space is great with a covered seating area and a fire pit area in the middle of the yard which we took full advantage of each evening. Hideaway House has beautiful plants in the yard and if you are lucky fresh berries to pick for smoothies or yogurt parfaits. The neighborhood is quiet but it is a quick walk to all that is happening on Third St in McMinnville. As far as vineyards, we hit three everyday so the location was also perfect for exploring wine country! We really could not have been more happy with EVERYTHING about Hideaway House.

Wow!! What a wonderful & pretty home. There were so many extra amenities that you never see in rental home. Live plants in most rooms, lots of towels, firepit outside with blankets in case we got cold, well furnished kitchen, etc. Loved the location to be able to walk downtown. And Casey was so responsive to questions. Would definitely go back there & recommend to all.

This was the perfect location for our stay in McMinnville. The house was wonderful and Casey was super responsive to our questions and needs. We liked it so much we have already reserved it again for this fall. A short walk put you in the middle of everything.

Everything about this stay was fantastic. It is the prettiest VRBO that we’ve ever stayed at. The furniture and decorations were elegant and looked like they had been done by an interior designer. Undoubtedly, the property owner was the best part. Casey is wonderful and even had a birthday balloon for my husband. This gets an A+ rating.

My wife and I just spent 5-6 days at Casey's Hideaway House and it was wonderful! Perfect location just off one end of 3rd street, it is perfectly located for winery visits followed by easy "on foot" things to do. Perfectly quiet neighborhood with a wonderful backyard. In the summer time, there's an option for a fire pit - when we were there in late winter / early spring, we enjoyed the covered outdoor seating with propane fire table. Most places don't seem to care if you have enough propane, but Casey went out of his way to ensure we did, even giving directions of how we could access additional tanks, if necessary. We did not do any serious cooking while there but that was by choice - there's more than enough to work with to create wonderful meals. Heck, Casey's grill is cleaner than I keep my own at home! (That's part of the reason we didn't cook...we were going to grill steaks one night but I knew I would not be able to get the grill as clean as it was and I couldn't bring myself to dirty it!) I can't say enough good things about Casey and his house. Little touches like motion sensing night lights to help aid a person up in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar place just add to the perfection of this house. We felt perfectly at home from the moment we arrived. As long as this location is available, we will never stay anywhere else when visiting in the future. All we can say is thank you to a wonderful host!!

The hideaway house in Mcminnville was a perfect location and so comfortable. It’s in a great location, so we walked down to all of the shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants each night. The home itself is warm and inviting. I’ve stayed in quite a few VRBO rentals through the years and this one is by far the most comfortable. There are so many thoughtful amenities from motion sensor night lights to local coffee, great smelling soaps and body wash, access to the laundry machine, fire pit, and last but not least.. even good quality toilet tissue and Kleenex. You don’t find that often in rentals.😀 My husband and I stayed there for our anniversary and they even left us a happy anniversary balloon when we arrived. My only nit picky complaint is the pillows. I can’t sleep on soft down or feather pillows so it would have been nice to have another pillow option. The backyard is a beautiful, quiet, serene setting with Edison lights and a fire pit. The landscaping adds so much to the setting too. We really enjoyed sitting outside each night to end the day. The owners were great and were easy to get in touch with and answered all our questions. We will definitely go back and I highly recommend this house when you’re in McMinnville.

Beautiful home
Casey's home is cute and clean. Probably the cleanest Vrbo I've ever stayed in! Staying in mid-July, we could pick blueberries in the backyard, which was so fun! The firepit was great, and he provided enough wood for our entire stay. We grilled on the BBQ, and there was plenty of propane, and it was clean and grilled well. McMinnville is more of an "up-and-coming" area. It'll be cool to see what it's like there in 5 years. There was enough to do for a long weekend on 3rd street, but any longer than that, you'll want to plan some day trips to vineyards or neighboring cities. If we return to McMinnville, Casey's place is the only place we'll stay. He was a wonderful and accommodating host.

Perfect Location!
We were very impressed by the cleanliness and small touches within the home! The check in process was easy and Casey was very informative. Fantastic location for wine tasting and a short walk to restaurants downtown. The backyard was amazing and home flawlessly landscaped. Great place to relax in the evening. We will be back!

Fantastic House with perfect location
My husband and I and a friend stayed here to experience wine country in OR. The house is super cute, extremely clean and well taken care of, and the back yard is amazing. Clearly everything was thought of - plenty of towels, well stocked kitchen (plates, glasses, pots/pans), easy comfortable seating options. Casey is super helpful with anything you might need. The house is perfectly located, everywhere we wanted to go was ~15-20 mins away and we walked to get coffee and breakfast every morning. Would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect home in a perfect location!
Hideaway House is lovely and immaculate! Everything exceeded our expectations. The seating areas are all comfortable for relaxing. The bed was comfortable; the closet has good shelving as well as plenty of nice, wooden hangers. The bathrooms are well set up, with big fluffy towels and excellent vanity lighting. There is even a good quality hair dryer with diffuser and other attachments provided! Our host, Casey, was accessible and responsive. The location is perfect – in a quiet neighborhood, but a quick walk to restaurants and tasing rooms. Would love to visit again!

Perfect Getaway
A perfect hideaway in the middle of wine country. You can walk to the downtown and numerous restaurants. Wineries are minutes away. The home has all the essentials to prepare meals. The listing is just how it appears. The outdoor fire pit we used each night. Cannot say enough good things about the listing and owner. Great welcome package - easy checking and check out. Will be back.

Meticulously maintained property close to downtown
My wife and I and another couple stayed at Casey's property for 5 days. To say we were all extremely impressed with the attention paid to property details and cleanliness would be an understatement. It is clear this property owner cared immensely for his VRBO and the well being of his guests. I would highly recommend staying at this place. It was a very short walk to downtown McMinnville and served as our base in the Willamette Valley area.

Family Willamette Wine-Country Get Away
This sweet house provided a perfect place to catch up with my adult son during the COVID-19 summer surge. It was spotlessly clean and with a beautiful backyard area for BBQing and sitting around the fire at night, felt safe and relaxing which was great for a much needed getaway. We enjoyed hiking and outdoor wine tasting during the days and nice evenings by the fire. Especially since we are not comfortable with indoors restaurants or regular hotels at this time, it was perfect. Casey was an excellent host and it was fun to have so many options for making coffee at the house.

Amazing Home
The house was fantastic for my wife and I on our Honeymoon. Everything was meticulously designed inside the home and a lot of thought was put into the guest experience. Casey was easy to communicate with and very nice. Everything you could ask for from a VRBO stay!

Fabulous Host & Home
Fantastic!
We loved Casey’s wonderful home - It far exceeded our expectations. It is now one of our favorite vacation rentals. The home was very clean, neat, and tidy with exceptional amenities. The bed was very comfortable. We did not try out the queen bed but it looked really cozy. The rugs were so well suited for each room. All the rugs were gorgeous inside and outside, The sheets (so soft) and towels (fluffy soft white) were high quality. The kitchen was fully stocked. We could have easily prepared a nice meal, if we hadn’t dined out. This home is perfect for two couples or a small family. We love coffee! Casey had numerous ways to brew a perfect cup of coffee as well as good coffee beans and a grinder. The Chemex coffeemaker was our favorite.
The outdoor space was the perfect spot for our morning coffee, evening wine and appetizers. The garden is lovely!
The location is perfect and is within walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants, tasting rooms, and breweries. We highly recommend Kim (owner) NW Wine Shuttle. We had an awesome wine tour adventure!
Casey, Thank for sharing your amazing home with us. We hope to cone back soon. We highly recommend your lovely home. THE BEST!
Thank you, Diane & Mark

Quiet neighborhood
The place was neat, close to everything, and very functional. Even though the area was on forced shut down, we were able to get out and see Mcminnville. We will need to come back when the cellars and breweries are open. The beds were clean and comfortable. I would only like some kitchen necessities that are always forgotten. Plastic wrap, cooking oil. An electric coffee maker would have been nice since we were 4 adults and are coffee drinkers. And we couldn't find a wash cloth to wipe down the kitchen counter. Minor things really. But the place is very well kept. And Casey is a fabulous host!!
