We had such a great time during our stay at this property! Our group consisted of three families coming together with kids of multiple ages. Everyone slept comfortably and there were plenty of beds for all! The kids enjoyed running around the grounds. They loved looking at the horses in the morning, playing on the zip line and taking dips in the hot tub in the evenings! This place is perfectly located within the town of Kernville. Thank you again for all of the fun!

During our stay, we found two mouse traps with dead mice (one snap trap and one glue trap) in common areas of the home. One was found in the living room where we let our babies crawl around and our small dogs roam freely. We were not made aware that there was a mouse infestation nor that there would be mouse traps lying about the house. The second trap (the glue trap) was found in the kitchen where we spent time and kept our food which was concerning because those traps usually contain toxic chemicals/poison. I contacted the host and sent her a picture of the mice we found and her response was to blame her new cleaner and refund us $100. It’s important to note too that though this listing states that there are “6 bedrooms” only three of those bedrooms are actually enclosed, private spaces. The other half of the available beds are located in common areas without privacy. I wish I had known that before booking. The host was difficult to communicate with. There were a handful of other issues with the property, which were mostly out of the owner’s control: broken AC in the trailer, rendering 1/3 of the “bedrooms” (one bedroom and one twin bed in the middle of the trailer’s kitchen/living room area) unusable and the sprinklers were run every afternoon, at the hottest point of the day for over 4 hours (not really a problem, just a huge waste of water). The farm itself is pretty, and being able to use the creek was nice, but this property is not worth the price.

Our family trip to this wonderful ranch consisted of 4 Adults, 2 Young Adults and one Teenager. Across the board we all enjoyed the property immensely!! From hanging out in the water meadow, walking to the river, exploring the barn, ineracting with friendly horses, camping out on the property to visiting the town for a local brew. Amelia, was wonderful to communicate with and was always avaliable if I had a question. Our favorite part of this historic place is the character and charm it has held over the decades. They have kept it up and we all are looking forward to coming back this summer to soak in the hot tub by the water meadow!

Perfect for a weekend of rafting!
Perfect for a weekend of rafting!
We went on a whitewater rafting trip for a friend's bachelor party and this place was perfect. It is spacious and it's really setup for a nice group vacation with plenty of seating for everyone to hang out together. The sleeping situation is pretty communal, with multiple beds even in the master bedroom, so if you are looking for privacy during a family vacation it might not be the best choice. But we liked it because we could all just hang out together, even when it was time to call it a night. Kind of like being at camp but with nicer linens. Would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in that area!
