It's not like what it looks like from outside

The property is beautiful on the outside

My first room had an electricity problem of some sort than I was moved to another room, new room there's no WiFi so I didn't watch TV, the bed was terribly wobbly so much so that I was afraid to turn, there are no towels or mat in the bathroom, so much noise from the neighbours, music, singing along and screaming when a new song comes on

I can’t recommend the place for those who want a quiet place.

The property is easily accessible and was clean.

There were no towels and were only brought in the following day. The stove was not working. For the duration of our stay despite reporting it . The noise at night was bad.

The room we stayed in was not well prepared for our arrival. Bedding not all done, toilet roll from the previous visitors still there, no pots in the apartment although it’s self catering.

It was good and SAFE, my friends and I really enjoyed our stay

The place was clean, safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a stay in Sandton and it is also closer to Engen garage which is also convenient

The only thing I didn't like was that the kitchen didn't have much things to use like pots and also we had to ask for a dish cloth because there wasn't any.

Reasonably priced with comfy beds.

No complimentary shower gel in the bathroom, no towels, no coach ss advertised, the staff promised to bring me a towel at 8pm, I slept just after 1am still without a towel while reception team kept lying saying they are bringing me towels. No bath mat so water would fill the floor causing slips after showering.

The location was good . The welcoming was good , clean and neat The rules were not strict , we chilled and nobody complained about noise or anything like that . The cleaning staff were on point and attentative

The couch in the lounge was not so comfortable , Was a 2seater , yet its advertised as a 4 sleeper. however everything else made up for it. Truth is I have nothing bad to say about the place . We ran out of toilet paper .

Great location, new build, friendly reception staff and good discounts offered for upgrades.

Photos didn’t quite match the rooms. There was no sofa in 1 bed apartments and no washing machine in 2 bed apartments although photographed

Amazing can go back again and certainly recommend it

The receptionist who received us was very friendly and awesome loved her, the rooms where excellent we really truly had a good time ohhh the comfort of the bed and clean linen was superb

perfect location, friendly staff, accommodation was perfectly suited for the occasion,

At first i was panicked as i am from KZN and driving through a township at 10 in the night was scary also the road looked doge but it was very safe.

the only disappointment was the shortage of bath towels i assume with load shedding that's probable a valid reason, its the only negative i could find.

staff was friendly and they were willing to assist us in making sure our stay was comfortable. wifi connection was really good. Property felt safe regardless of the fact that it is inside town.

Rooms next to the entrance gate have noise disturbance. we struggled with the car hooting at the gate when they call on security to open the gate for them.

The size of the television. It was considerably smaller than expected, which made it less enjoyable for watching movies or relaxing in the evenings.

Expected More

I was honestly expecting more. I regret ignoring all the bad I read and thought I would give Mint Express a chance. But I must say it was clean and the staff were friendly.

We booked a 4 sleeper. We received 2 bath towels. The couch in the lounge was broken. In the 2nd room there is a couch which makes it impossible to close the door so the 2nd couple gets no privacy.

My stay was amazing, it is the second time visiting a mint hotel and it never disappoints

The stuff was friendly and professional and willing to help whenever we needed help...the location is good and very quiet

Rooms are very spacious.

*The place is too excluded from decent shopping centers & e-hailing transport takes time to come because they are scared, the place to them is in Alexandra not Sandton. *Essentials like pots were not available in my room only frying pan was & each room should have it's own iron & ironing board to avoid long waiting or atleast have common ironing area. *There was no fan / air conditioner in the room please consider that, heat is now extreme in South Africa. *Bed linen were issued extremely late on Friday 24 November 2023 & towels were not available i only received them the following day.

I love the fact that they come and do room service everyday, it's great coming back after a long day into a nice clean room. Cleaning lady was friendly and did her job very well!!

The fact that a pipe blew and we were without water for 1 whole evening and the next morning. I hated the fact that a staff member told me that I must fill a bucket of water from 1 of the taps outside and use that. Mint hotel should have provisions for times like those. That was really really BAD service!! And the following day when the water came back on, it was difficult to take a shower because the water came out little bit at a time and it was cold. When I pay for a service, I expect to have the full experience nor half. I hope you will make provisions from now on, get jojo tanks or whatever.
