Sound-front Heaven's Gate is 7,000 square feet of pure vacation pleasure. Considering every bedroom is a primary and you'll have a plethora of full bathrooms, as well as half-baths, you're guaranteed a blissful trip. Here in Kinnakeet Shores, you'll have easy access to the sound for all watersports, a community pool, and tennis. The home sits on two lots for an unobstructed view, ideal for watersports and beach fun. Everyone can relax on the private white sand beach with a firepit and two kayaks, ideal for volleyball, windsurfing, or just relaxing for the day! The top level has a gorgeous 360-degree view of the sound, marsh, ocean, and the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
This upscale house has been designed, built, and decorated for multiple families. The ground level has good parking, two carports, and access to a saltwater waterfront pool with a built-in waterfall, a tropical bar, and plenty of outdoor furniture on the sundeck. There's even elevator access to all levels of the home. For 2022, all bedrooms are equipped with 39-inch smart Roku TVs and the main living area is equipped with a 65-inch smart Roku TV.
The first living level has a huge waterfront game room with a pool table, a new 65-inch Roku TV, a full entertainment system, a half bath, and seamless access to the pool. On top of that, there is a workout station that includes a stationary bike and a treadmill for those who want to get a good workout in. The first main bedroom has a TV and a full bath. The full kitchen on this floor features a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator with an ice maker, microwave, and seating for everyone.
The second floor opens with a full-size laundry room and a second main bedroom with a full bath and a TV. Sound-front main bedrooms three, four, and five have deck access, TVs, and full bathrooms. The sixth bedroom features a TV, deck access, and a handicap-accessible bathroom.
The third level opens with a top-of-the-line sunken theater room for 19 with Netflix access and a nearby half-bath. Main bedroom seven has a TV and a full bath. Sound-front main bedroom eight has a TV, deck access, and a full bath as well. Sound-front main bedroom nine offers deck access, a TV, and a lovely bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. All rooms are close to a large, sound-front den/media room with French doors and deck access.
On the fourth floor, you'll find the final main bedroom, featuring a full bath and a TV. The great room on this floor has tall ceilings, a mile of sound-front glass, a new 65-inch Roku TV, and a huge furnished sundeck. Bring a camera, because the views of the sunsets, sound, and natural wetlands are extraordinary. With warm hardwood flooring, a fantastic entertainment system with a TV, a fireplace, upscale resort furnishings, a game table, and a wet bar, Heaven's Gate will win over even the most jaded guests. The sound view from this property is amazing! It was very spacious and was the perfect spot for our large family gathering. Walking to the ocean side is not really an option for most people. But it is just a short drive away. The kitchen was well stocked making it easy to prepare meals for a large group. Enjoyed the theater. Spent a lot of time in the pool & hot tub. Had a great vacation here. The name Heaven’s Gate is very appropriate!

It's been hard to move from dealing with Hatteras Realty to Vacasa, which is a nationwide firm. Many times I end up talking to someone in who knows where that has no idea about the house or the area. However, after not getting satisfaction, I asked them to have someone from the local area contact me. Tom responded immediately and took care of what I needed. The folks on Hatteras Island have always been great to deal with.
By the way, the house is spectacular and well-equipped. Even when we had a few needs, the local folks responded within an hour or two. Just goes to show that even when you get bought by the a large corporate entity, you can still do your best to show excellent service. Thanks!

10 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. One bedroom is a bunk room, the others are queen beds. The kitchen is perfect for a large group cooking together. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, utensils, knives, bowls, servers, etc. Large pantry. A dozen cook tops. Ample room to park cars. Lots of seating in the theater. Very pretty perch above all of the decks that is just a fabulous spot for the morning coffee. The place feels newer/nicer than most homes I've rented in OBX (many!).
The property is on a bit of a point with views in multiple directions. We rented a fleet of SUPS, Kayaks, boogie boards, and beach chairs/umbrellas from Island Bicycles and they were there when we arrived. Several of us kite and windsurf and the location serves many points of wind. 3 or 4 long tacks upwind puts you into the Buxton Slicks for flatwater fun. Just to the north and not too far offshore is water deep enough for foiling. We fished from kayaks and there was plenty of action using soft plastics and 1/4 oz jig heads.
The 3/8 mile walk to the ocean is pretty and is partly on a boardwalk.... or a short drive to a parking area.

Spectacular beautiful views from every angle. Great pool and hot tub area. Kitchen fully equipped, abundance of appliances, including ice makers, cookware and eating utensils. Easily accommodated 22. Theater enjoyed by all. Plenty of living space and large bedrooms. Kayaks were fun. One of washing machines inoperable, the other worked well. Owner was very responsive on washing machine problem. Recommend adding some beach chairs. Great stay!
