Coffee was fine. I don't remember there being any other breakfast. The breakfast place down the street was quite good.

Parking was tight, but OK. Desk between beds was not usable due to oversized "fashionable" lamp on desk. I suggested a smaller lamp that was a little less fashionable.

very poor effort at continental breakfast. no regular housekeeping service - because of COVID (?) - which was not communicated upon check-in, nor noted in-room. no chain on door, no additional security to room, other than one-key turn on doorknob. so, not really a bed and breakfast, not industry standard cleaning, not secure room. need to get the act together.

The location was convenient and central, and the staff was nice. The lobby was attractive. On-site parking was convenient.

The hotel was currently in the middle of renovations during our visit. To be fair, there was no construction noise during our stay. However, it was very clear that our particular room had been renovated very quickly, and was not yet in a state where it should have been rented. The bathroom walls were lined with new marble tile, but the entire surface of the walls was covered with a heavy white power residue from the grouting process (no one had cleaned the walls after filling the grout between the tiles); there were even the construction measurements still written on some of the tiles in pencil, which hadn't been cleaned off. The shower fixtures were new, but weren't tightened properly and sprayed water from the loose connections. One of the light switches in the room was missing the cover, exposing the wiring inside. The lower vanity drawer in the bathroom was installed poorly, and wouldn't close, sticking out about an inch. The glass surface of the window to the outside was covered with a heavy film of mold speckles, so it wasn't possible to clearly see outside. The painting had been done very poorly and hastily, in single coats, with no attention to detail. This is was definitely not what I would have expected from a room costing in excess of $340 per night. When we checked out, we weren't even asked how we enjoyed our stay, presumably because they knew it was sub-par.

There was a continental breakfast. Not many choices. Muffins were fresh.

We should have booked through the Inn. The prices were much less if we had booked through them.

Location. Old time feel. Very friendly staff.

Room was still under construction. Air condition was tempermental.. No dresser, no suitcase stand, no towel rack , no shelf in shower for soap or shampoo, no room refrig, no ice machine easily accessable. Things for room rate that should be readily available.

The location is great. I like that it is never very crowded because of the small size. Many nice restaurants in the surrounding area. Looks like the renovations will be very nice - just not completed yet.

Noise and clutter from renovations. The bathroom shower had mildewed grout that could really use some bleach. The breakfast wasn’t anything I could eat.

Great location - So, I originally gave this Inn a rating of 4 (due to renovation issues see below and the room rate not being adjusted). I am happy to say that the Inn manager replied and graciously gave us a nice partial refund! As I said in my earlier review - I am a former resident of Chagrin Falls and have very warm feelings towards the Inn and this restored my faith in them!

I really did not want to give a bad review bc the Inn is special to us – we lived in Chagrin Falls for 16 years before moving to Arizona for work, this was our first visit back in 8 years and we were so excited to stay at the Inn. We were notified of the restorations going on and were prepared for a mess. However, we were NOT prepared for being woken up the first morning at 7:30am by a loud shrill drilling sound above our head or the same sound continuing past 6pm. Then, the second morning someone started loudly walking around above us from 6:15am-7:00am making a lot of noise. Additionally, we also understand that our room (#1) was not completely finished but there were no lights by the bed, the bed sloped back towards the head (so we felt like we were sleeping on an angle) and the bathroom had no space at all for our toiletries and there was no place to hang our towels or put the soap/shampoo in the shower. Plus, when my husband turned on the shower it was so hard to move the handle and then it came off in his hand.

very poor craftsmanship on renovation. only one single outlet in room, placement of TV over dresser-off center, mirror not centered over bath vanity- off 8” - very uncomfortable, poor craftsmanship on bath tile floor, very poor in shower (shower pan too deep - standing in excess water), extremely poor paint job! ugly color for west facing first floor room, doors too tight in frame, difficult to close - must bang door closed - noisy! very uncomfortable.

Close to all the restaurants in the downtown area The place has a charm of it own

jacuzzi tub did not work the facility is under renovation and we were aware of that when we went we were disappointed at the cost due to the fact that they were going under renovation and the place is outdated

Location. Staff friendliness & helpfulness with directions & suggestions.

Continental breakfast choices were less than minimal. Only one table available for seating. Got much more at “chain” hotels. Inn undergoing renovations which explains some “problems”. Rooms are nice but noisy.
