There were good & not so good things about the property. Great neighborhood & layout of the house was good for our needs. We were delighted to see a young black bear out back the first night! Kitchen was adequate & there were plenty of pots/pans, etc. Sadly, there were some disappointments. In 2 bedrooms, there were free standing AC units that had hoses out the window for venting. The hoses were taped to a board that was attached to the windowsill with duct tape. (not on pictures) Duct tape did not hold up well & was constantly falling apart allowing insects to enter. The one in the bunkroom scared the children when it fell apart. (we retaped it twice) The side of the AC unit in the upstairs king room was broken leaving a gaping hole where all manner of critters could enter. Bathrooms & linens were clean, but the mantel & other surfaces were dust covered, & dirt/dust under the furniture. Fridge had yellowish substance on several shelves, dish drainer had sticky goo, crumbs & dirt in cupboards/drawers, & cobwebs in the corners of the windows. Porch was filthy. We noted several exposed junction boxes, missing bulbs, & non-working interior & exterior lighting. Upstairs railing is too wide to be safe for kids. The whole place needs a deep clean and a handyman. (we discovered AFTER arriving that WE were expected to wipe all surfaces & sweep floors before we left - AND pay the large cleaning fee!) Lake & playground were great! Could be really nice if kept up and cleaned.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The house was clean. Truly stocked with anything and everything you will need. Secluded enough but not isolating. Cozy and spacious. We didn’t want to leave! A great break from the city.

For the most part the house inside was tidy, cleanly, and decorative. Had everything you could think that you might need. Our best and favorite part of our stay was all the wild life we seen. Couldn’t have been better for enjoying all the wild life and closeness for hikes and swimming

Getting into the house was pretty easy. First night we were able to watch a mom & baby black bear cubs at the neighbor's house. We also saw the bears one other time our week. Proximity to beach was nice and the kids enjoyed the beach and play ground. Beach area was kept nice. The house was clean and comfortable. Being in the woods a few mice traps are needed.

our daughter (5) had been wanting to try her hand at skiing, so we rented this property for the weekend. we really enjoyed our time here. the owner was communicative and helpful, everything about the listing proved accurate. and our daughter had a great time on the slopes! a perfect place to spend a winter weekend.

Arranged this house for wedding guests traveling for my wedding weekend. The fall foliage in the community was prime (beautiful). The deer entertaining. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The rooms are separate (which was a plus). Pet friendly.. Great relaxing social spots in the house. And...we have already talked about returning. Highly recommend.

what a beautiful fall weekend. the foliage i the area was peaked - a beautiful scene. this house accommodated us well for a wedding venue near by. there was every single tool you could think about in the kitchen. love that the bedrooms were somehow spaced out (not right next to each other). following the wedding day, we had a nice lazy day in the the front room with leather recliners/sofa. so comfortable to relax and hang out before heading home. beautiful. definitely recommend the green home.

We had a great time staying at Briarcrest, we were there for a little family getaway. House is nice, but could use some TLC. Also if arriving before a race at the pocono speed way you’ll want to arrive early in the day as it added about 2 hours to our commute due to closed roads. But again the house was great my family had a blast at the lake nearby which we walked to. Thank you!

You can tell when am owner cares and it was evident that the Green family cares quite a bit! Cozy with character, the home has plenty of windows, bedrooms, space and a fully equipped kitchen, which was perfect for our holiday meals. The pellet burning stove adds plenty of warmth and comfort. You need almost nothing to feel at home. We'll be back! The Barcia Family.

We chose Johanna's home to celebrate my dads October birthday. The picture don't do this home justice - it's more spacious than the picture show and Johanna left a sweet birthday message behind the bar. The beds are very comfortable and there was plenty of space for our family. We would highly recommend this property!

Just WOW!!!

Just WOW!!!

So my fiance and I decided to go away for a couple of days after a year of not going anywhere to get away from the city. My fiance was in a accident and long story short, this time last year he was in a coma. Forward to today, we just happen to find this location and all I have to say is WOW! As soon as we walked in, it was just breath taken. It was better than we had expected. If you're looking for tranquility this is the place. Quiet, beautiful, and just complete relaxation. It had everything we needed and more. Can't wait to plan our next trip cause this will be our new favorite spot. Thank you Johanna for everything!
