This 5BR retreat (comfortably sleeps 10 with the option of 12 using the sleeper sofa), with ocean views from the top deck, provides loads of sunshine and quiet, wooded views. The ground level houses the garage for the two golf carts included- one six-passenger and a four-passenger (a 3rd 4 seater golf cart is at times available to rent at an additional fee if desired) as well as an outdoor shower, beach chairs (8 in total) and beach toys. Upstairs, the open floor plan- boasts a very generous living space with two conversation areas. 2 sets of new sliding doors open up to an expansive front porch sun deck. The bright dining room features a wall of new glass doors that open onto the dining porch overlooking Bald Head's forested dune.
Adjacent to the dining area is the breakfast bar, seating four more, and beyond is the kitchen with granite counters and convenient laundry facilities. This floor also features the King Master suite which grants its own private office as well as an en suite and ingress to a screened porch. On the other end of this level are two more bedrooms- a King and a Queen-that share a full bath. The Queen also opens onto the front porch. The home's top floor is equipped with non sliding interior glass windows-enhancing the home's light and openness but also keeping noise in or out. This level boasts a roomy conversation space with TV and xbox (bring your own games) as well as entrance to another sun deck with water views. Close by, a bar that includes a mini-fridge and sink. This floor also has a Queen bedroom and a Twin bedroom with 2 twin beds. There is also a sleeper sofa in the common area that folds out to a queen size bed. These share a conveniently-located skylit full bath ensconced behind a barn door in the hall.

We had a lovely vacation at this property. The home is well laid out for larger families or an extended family, with multiple gathering spaces and bedrooms that are not all on top of each other. Great layout.

A gorgeous home absolutely as beautiful as the pictures. We had one small hiccup with the Air Conditioner and the owners arranged for the issue to be resolved immediately. I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful home on the gorgeous island of Bald Head.

We enjoyed a great week on BHI and the house was perfect. Plenty of room for all, 2 golf carts and plenty of beach accessories which made travel easier. The house is located within an easy walk or bike ride to the marina and restaurants.

This house has lots of room! We had 5 adults and 4 kiddos, and there was an amazing common area for us to hang out and enough space each to which each adult could retreat when the kids got to be "too much." The third floor was a great place to stash the kids with games while we had adult time downstairs. Btw, you can see the ocean from the third floor balcony. It's a gorgeous view. It's a short trip to South and West Beaches (but we actually opted to haul over to Eash Beach mostly) and the Club. We sent the kids on their bikes to the Dockmaster for snacks since it was nearby too. All around a great time for the extended family to reconnect. Highly recommended.

House was gorgeous and fit us perfectly - 4 adults and four teens. Had some difficulty connecting to wifi initially but Allison was right on it as soon as I texted and we had it working very soon after. We really appreciated her quick response to all our questions!

This is a beautiful and updated home. Owner was super responsive to a couple of minor questions/issues we had. She was responsive to texts, and sent someone out to help with a minor HVAC issue within a few hours. Excellent information provided about the property as well.

Wonderful property, very convenient and clean. Home has a wonderful layout; the upstairs sitting room was great for the kids to have their own space. Loved the outdoor shower too! Communicative, kind hosts. Will come again!

Wonderful experience with the lovely home at BHI, location and interacting with the fabulous host!! Allison is one of the BEST in terms of her responsiveness and willingness to do whatever is possible to make your stay enjoyable.
The house is perfect, especially for two families with the 3rd floor accommodations. Location is perfect as close to the marina, store and club.
Only thing I would caution newbies to the island (like us) is be prepared you may not receive all your belongings when you arrive on the island. Highly recommend you label all containers/items as 1 of 10, 2 of 10, etc. as once they dump all your stuff on the parking lot you realize you may not know what is missing. Items may arrive on later ferries.

The house is beautiful and spacious. We did have a problem with cockroaches, the home owner had the exterminator out as soon as possible but we continued to see them and we definitely were not used to dealing with them. Creeped us out. Otherwise everything went well.

We loved how we had access to both the BHI and Shoals Club (although the Shoals was our favorite with the pool, views, amazing Aqua restaurant and umbrella and chairs set up for you on the beach!) The home is super close to the marina and ferry which was helpful. The home owner has wonderful hospitality and she answered any and all questions that we had! We couldn't recommend UnWynd enough and hope to be back in the future!

Just as advertised, excellent house! Golf carts were nice, location 3 minutes from the ferry. House has great amenities, outside shower wash was nice after the beach trips. Beach toys, chairs, movies, wii console were all nice touches!

Fantastic house!
We loved our stay in UnWynd! We were three families and we had plenty of room to spend time together and also each had a wing of the house to ourselves to retreat to. The house was super clean, and beautifully and comfortably decorated. It was also really well stocked for a perfect vacation — tons of games, books, DVDs, Wii games and beach toys for the kids and lots of beach chairs for adults. The location was great. Lastly, and most importantly, the owner was incredibly helpful in providing information about getting to/off island and getting guest memberships at the local club to help us have a smooth and perfect trip! We can’t wait to come back!

Awesome beach house!
This was my first stay at UnWynd and we will be back again and again! BHI is an amazing paradise and UnWynd is the perfect location to sit back, relax, and enjoy all the island has to offer. The 2 master bedrooms on the main floor was a huge plus! The upstairs was the perfect location to put our kids as the sitting area was complete with a big tv, wii gaming system while the adults could gather downstairs away from the noise. The availability of a high chair, pac n play, baby gate, beach toys, chairs, and beach towels made our packing so very easy! We loved having the option of 3 golf carts for our use as well. The sunset views from the top deck overlooking views of the Cape, was a fantastic place to finish our day with drinks in hand!!!!! We also loved seeing the enormous freighter ships float by from that top deck!!!! The main porch area had tons of seating and a wonderful place to enjoy a morning coffee or reading a book in the afternoon after a day at the beach. There were plenty of options for seating everyone at meals as the back porch had seating for 6 and the kitchen had seating for 6 at the kitchen table and 4 more seats at the kitchen counter! The beach access was just steps away from this home, we didn’t even need the golf cart to get there! This house also had memberships to both the clubs available to us for the option of temporary membership which was great! This house is well laid out for multiple families to enjoy. The house manager was available to show us the house upon arrival and answer any questions we had during our stay! The location was great, away from all the hustle of the island and quiet enough to hear the ocean at night! We are excited this house was added to VRBO! We will be back, for sure!!!

Lovely home away from home
UnWynd is a lovely home away from home while on BHI. The front porch with ample seating is a great place to start the day while everyone wakes up and a wonderful venue for a cocktail as the day winds down. The living room is open and airy, the perfect place for games. The bedrooms were super comfortable, offering plenty of room for our crew. We appreciated the beach being a short walk from the house and had a fun time combing the beach for treasures. The house comes equipped with beach toys, chairs and towels, which was a huge bonus. My kids enjoyed trying out all 3 of the golf carts to find their favorite. We can't wait to go back.
