Excellent accommodation for nature lovers

Excellent breakfast/dinner, homemade ice cream (avocado). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Daily cleaning of the bathroom would have been appreciated (bathroom bin for toilet paper had no lid)

Mitten im Grünen, zum Wohlfühlen, tolle Aussicht, leckeres Frühstück ( auch das Abendessen im dazugehörigen Lokal war sehr gut), perfekt für eine Zwischenstopp auf der Fahrt vom Pazifik an die Karibik.

Eine Kaffeemaschine war zwar vorhanden, aber leider kein Kaffee…

A lovely place to stay during Semana Santa

The manager was very helpful in making bookings at the winery and for birdwatching. The hotel was very comfortable and had a large dining room. The breakfast was great.

We have stayed here several times and have always enjoyed it's laid-back , relaxing atmosphere.

Breakfast was sufficient and tasty; however, they should ask how you like your eggs and not just automatically bring them scrambled---both my husband and I prefer them fried. The coffee was good and you can have refills. Service is efficient but it would be helpful if breakfast would start at 7:30 instead of 8 ( for those who have business meetings or wish to start hiking earlier.)

Please refer to the above. We enjoy staying here but think some things could be "tweeked" to cater a little more to the client. Diego, by the way, is a great asset to the hotel: makes check in and out easy, helps wait on tables, full of interesting info, etc.

great lodge in a nice environment. especially the hummingbird garden is beautiful. the restaurant is very good and has vegetarian options. would heartily recommend to do the birding tour that the lodge provides ($30 pp). the guide Oscar is very knowledgeable and friendly, and we were able to spot the beautiful quetzal, emerald toucan and more

everything! really friendly, helpful staff. good breakfast. big, comfortable room with a lovely balcony and stunning view over bird filled trees. being up in the mountains it was cooler than the coast and drier so, as a Brit, it was like a gorgeous sunny day at home. perfect. thank you

Incredibly priced hotel with a personal experience and atmosphere. Views from our room were incredible and, while fairly simple, it was just what we needed. The food was fantastic and staff incredibly helpful.

Bathroom was very basic/out of date, but that is nit picking!

The beauty of the area and the wonderful people who work here will have us returning sometime soon!

The lodge is located in the beautiful mountains of Copey. The road leading to this lovely place of natural beauty is very good. We were greeted by Diego who was most helpful and kind.The delicious breakfast is a typical Costa Rican one, which you enjoy while watching all the humming birds at their feeders! Dinner was also very good and prices were reasonable. The uphill climb on their trail is worth it, especially if you can make it to their Cypress Forest!

It was incredibly comfortable, wish we would have had 2 nights! The suite was nicely decorated, the bed was comfortable and it was so lovely to take a bath. During the day there were lots of birds to watch from the terrace and at night glow worms!

The price was really good for a really nice room with really nice views. We had a really simple lunch, but it was good. The rooms are confortable and spacious.

They did not asked what would you like to eat for breakfast, there was only one option and they served that option without asking if you wanted it. The breakfast was not that good

Set in the forest with views of the valley, welcoming host Diego, the suite was spacious, detached cabin with porch overlooking the valley and a fireplace to take the chill off

I would definitely return and recommend people to stay in the Toucanet Lodge

The food was delicious, both for breakfast and dinner (breakfast was included). The prices for the food were very inexpensive (dinner), a lot less than in San Gerardo de Dota, where we went for lunch. Diego, the receptionist, was very friendly. The walk on the trail behind the hotel was wonderful.

I think that the bathrooms might need a little remodeling, but they were clean and the water was really warm, and very much appreciated.

Great option

Kind staff, delicious food at a good price. Breakfast was small but delicious. Confortable bed and pillows. Even the standard rooms have a great view to the mountains. It is worth doing the 2.8KM hike inside the property.

Standard rooms have thin walls and wood floors, you can hear the people in the next room, but not a big issue for us.

Amazing place. Diego is very kind and will help with everything. Good place to book quetzal watching tours - we saw many on our tour, also going for a coffee tour in coopedota is very good. Rooms are beautiful and so is the sorounding. Restaurant really good.
