A lovely spot, close to town, warm and helpful hospitality, comfortable accommodation, and a garden to explore. We stayed searching for family history and our hosts were very supportive and helpful. This was an enjoyable stay.

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here. Anne & Alex are such generous and friendly hosts. The historic cottage is a perfect little home for a couple. It's separate from the main home, set in a lovely garden, and has all amenities needed including very generous breakie provisions. It's about 1km from the centre of town but close enough to walk and get some exercise. This is a good base to explore the area. Officially it's street parking but Alex will open the private gates for special wheels on request. Looking forward to returning again in the future.

The cottage is at back of the house and very comfortable for the two of us. The hosts were friendly and made our stay memorable

Anne and Walter were super kind and helpful when it came to settling in, getting to know my way around and just having a friendly chat. I highly recommend the place, for instance as a base from which to explore Bungonia national park.

Anne and Alex were truly lovely hosts who picked us up and dropped us at the train station, gave us lemonade on a hot day and breakfast supplies! We were very well looked after and the cottage was clean, tidy and comfortable

Property Manager caring, available and communicative. We had a personal problem where it may have affected our stay, and Property Manager was empathetic and supportive. Property was even more charming and spacious than expected; indoors and out! Own private access, but Property Manager on hand as needed. Everything we needed (and more!) was available. It was extremely comfortable and warm, we could hear the beautiful sounds of nature and birds, enjoyed lovely sunshine flooding in through the window, but also plenty of privacy, as required. The greenery visible through the windows was relaxing. We enjoyed a quick guided tour of the entire yard, one morning, while enjoying a breakfast made with fresh ingredients provided by the considerate Property Manager. Sad we only had a two-night stay. Location was also convenient (for guests with own vehicle), as close to Goulburn and Goulburn South. Would definitely stay again! Thank you both; it was an absolute pleasure being guests at your Cottage, and it was just the place we needed for our type of getaway. The vibrations and energy were so positive and calming. Thank you for allowing us to completely absorb all your gardening efforts. It truly was a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for offering your lovely property.

The quaint servants quarters met all our needs for a short stopover. Very clean and quiet in lovely garden surrounds. Anne and Alex are friendly, generous hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Loved this little cottage. It was perfect for my overnight stay. I was in town for business and appreciated not having to stay in a motel. Anne and Alex are lovely and consummate hosts.

A unique property with everything you need. Quiet, yet a short drive to town and CBD. Host is friendly and welcoming with nothing being to much trouble if asked. It is completely self contained and comfortable. Definitely not suitable for those with a disability because there are steps both up to the cottage and inside as well.

For us this was an overnight stay on our way home. What a surprise, amazing hosts that were so accommodating. The cottage was so well appointed and for Goulburn the heating was excellent. The bed was so comfortable. We are planning to return. If you are looking for accommodation in Goulburn, you cannot go wrong with Waratah Cottage. Highly recommended…

We spent two nights at the gorgeous Waratah Cottage. The accommodation and amenities were superb and were only surpassed by the warmth and generosity of our hosts. I only wish we could have stayed a day or two longer!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the cottage. It had all the mod cons, was spotlessly clean and situated in a very quiet and peaceful part of town. The friendly hosts made me feel very welcome. I’d definitely stay there again.
