About this house rental

Come enjoy a day at the beach making memories with your family and friends. This house is perfect if you want a short walk to the beach. This home is setup for large groups to gather. Southern Comfort is newly decorated and has an open floorplan with two nice decks to enjoy the ocean breeze. The covered deck is the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach. This home is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Port A, the Sand Point subdivision.

The home sleeps up to 14 people with 5 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms, plus a sleeper sofa. Everyone can meet there, since there is plenty of parking in the two driveways (one at the front and one at the side of the house). Enjoy the convenience of a short walk to the beach and an even shorter walk to the community swimming pool and hot tub. We are located in town with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the grocery store. All living areas and bedrooms come equipped with flat screen TVs with Roku apps for movies and music plus local cable.

You will enter the home on the second floor, which consists of the living room, dining room and fully stocked kitchen, as well as a large deck. This floor also includes the master bedroom, with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. There is also a queen bedroom and a full bathroom that opens up to the main living area. The living room has a queen sized sleeper sofa.

The kids suite is located downstairs. The bedroom consists of two bunk beds, with one of them having a full sized bed on one of the bottom bunks. The bedroom offers a little computer area for the kids and full ensuite bathroom, which includes a shower/tub combination.

The top floor features two bedrooms and a full bathroom with a shower. There is a queen bedroom with a private deck. The other bedroom offers a twin bed. There is a small TV/gaming area is also located on this floor with 2 large bean bag chairs – perfect for the older kids and the “big kids” in all of us to have space to play.

Layout of the house was perfect for all of us. Wish the living room was a bit bigger so we could all lounge around in the veinings but overall it was awesome.

Super easy to check in and Suzanne, our host, was incredibly responsive! The home was set up perfectly for all of us to have enough space and privacy to do our own thing but great kitchen/dining/living area for hanging out. With the beach only a short walk down the private road, it was ideal to be able to enjoy beach sunrise and sunsets. We will definitely use this property again!

The house was awesome. Located two houses down from the pool...and the walk to the beach was way closer than some of the other properties we've stayed at. (The house is multilevel, so if you have eldery guests with you, make sure they are ok with stairs). Great place to stay.

The house is amazing and it has all the amenities you could possible need. There was plenty if room for sleeping and just hanging out after a long day at the beach. The only draw back to this home is the late check in. We come every summer and have never had a 5pm checkin with no exceptions. Just know that if you select the home you will not get a call saying you can check in earlier; if the cleaning crew is done.This was a bummer and the only reason for a 4 star instead of 5.

Loved this place. Only a couple of things to gripe about: the floor needed sweeping and mopping before we got there. We had a nine month old crawler and his knees we dirty when we got there: we had to deal with roaches and ants, nothing that would keep me from renting this location again. We were all comfortable. Had plenty of space and having all that parking space was awesome. The location was perfect. I would definately rent this house again.

The house was a great fit for our extended family gathering. It was clean and well equipped, and the host responded very quickly to requests for additional household supplies. The location is great and it's a great setup for multiple couples/families to come together for some time at the beach.

Great house with plenty of bedrooms & beds. Only 1 hand towel per bathroom, plenty of bath towels, but had to wash hand towels several times w/just one. Nothing to clean with but a broom & dustpan. 30 day stay requires at least a a dust mop . They brought us a “wet jet”, but just sweeping with a broom first didn’t clean very well before mopping. No one’s car can fit in garage- too short of space with shelve on wall @ car bumper height, & carpet roll on other side. Little space to put your grocery items & supplies we bought. No beach chairs, had to buy our own.

We had a great time in Port A. The house was super close to the beach and to town. We had 10 people and the size was just right for us. I think it would be too crowded for 14 people. We did contact Suzanne about an issue, which she promptly addressed. Much appreciated! I would suggest bringing cleaning spray or wipes as there was none available at the property to clean up the counters after cooking.

We just celebrated my husband‘s 30th birthday at your wonderful home. It was all adults so the multiple bedrooms was wonderful for each individual couple. We will definitely stay again with our extended family. I only suggest more dishes we ran out of coffee cups every morning.

What a beautiful property! Just a block off the ocean but you were able to see a little bit of the ocean and the water way from the top balcony. Property was super cleaned and the most well stocked vacation property we’ve ever stayed at. It’s a nice quiet area and the pool was super nice as well.

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy place! We liked the proximity to the pool and the walk to the beach was relatively close. The pool is warm which we didn't mind, but some of the guests were expecting a cooler pool especially during summer. Also, the pool is clean, but there are some spots that need upkeeping. The rug in the living room could have been less dusty and the garage could use some cleaning. The kitchen had what we needed and the fridge was a good size for all of our provisions. The shelf in the kitchen was dusty. Overall, our rental was well kept. I would rate it a 4.7 out of 5.

This house couldn’t have been more perfect for our family getaway. The 3 floors worked great for our children and grandchildren. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We couldn’t find any faults with this rental. Location was perfect close to the pool and beach access.
