About this villa rental
Location: Playa Guiones, Nosara, Costa Rica
This peaceful beachfront property is nestled in the coastal jungle of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge along the shoreline of the world’s most consistent set of surf-able waves at Playa Guiones, Nosara. This private hacienda is known as Tres Olas and provides tranquil spaces for each guest to relax and unwind, gather and connect, and most importantly traverse the private path to the unspoiled beauty of the Pacific Ocean. Connect your senses to the rhythm of the jungle through the energetic sound of Howler monkeys, the visual brilliance of a million stars at night, the delightful freshness of organic Costa Rican cuisine, the vibrant scent of tropical foliage, and the physical touch of a yoga mat, a warm wave, or sand between your toes.
With two physical structures consisting of a four-bedroom main house, and a two-bedroom guest house, Tres Olas draws you in with unique, balanced, and spacious rooms that sit quietly surrounded by the native gardens. Views are framed by vaulted teak ceilings and matte, slip-resistant large format tile. Water quality is eco-friendly and features a triple filtered water bottle filling station in the main house kitchen, solar water heaters, and a whole-house ultraviolet filtration system. Referencing the traditions of Costa Rica, simple forms, natural coloration, and artisanal fixtures are in every part of Tres Olas.
Custom Granada Tile reflects the subtle colors of the beach, while modern cleanliness pulls the entire property into visual focus. Copper and bronze are highlighted with faucets, recessed lighting, and oversized fans, while natural fabrics and finishes adorn couches, lounge chairs, side tables, and art. Custom rattan, hemp, and teak lighting are found throughout; further 100% sustainable solid tropical hardwood and traditional artisan furniture by Masaya & Co provides color accents in lounge chairs and the decorative bench at the center of the main living room. There is no difficulty in finding a cozy corner or the perfect gathering spot.
Individual bedrooms incorporate an aesthetically appointed ensuite full bathroom and open plan closet system. The main house has a King primary (2), a King guest (2), a Double Queen (2-4), and a four Twin XL bunk (4) room. The guest house has both a King primary (2) and a Double Full (2-4) room. An additional half bath is at hand for guests. The U.S. sized mattresses are Costa Rican manufactured by Jirón and dressed with specialty bed linens by Restoration Hardware. For ease of travel, amenities abound, including locally sourced Raw Botanical hair and body products, plush bath towels and face cloths, blow dryers, and dimmable and abundant lighting for getting dressed or setting a mood. Every bedroom has its own safe or locker, a Carrier air conditioner, Bluetooth speaker, and a Haiku ceiling fan with wireless remote controls.
Both homes have a fully stocked kitchen and dining space. The main house is prepped for catering services and includes GE Café Appliances in matte white with brushed bronze accents. A gas range with a convection double oven, a french door refrigerator, a dishwasher, an over-sized copper sink, a bronze prep sink, a pantry with refrigerator, microwave, and ice maker, plus an abundance of smaller appliances, open up the brilliance of your own chef de cuisine. Up to 18 guests can dine together under the massive rancho, and just as many may lounge, siesta, or read as a refuge from the intense afternoon sun. Outside a large grill is housed under its own rancho.
Tres Olas offers 5-star concierge services, including activity bookings, restaurant reservations, catering options, surf lessons, transportation services, and yoga classes. Additionally, your stay will include a morning wipe down and bed making, a mid-week linen and towel change with cleaning, and optional nightly turndown service. There are two laundry rooms, each supplied with a front loading washer and dryer, HE detergent, and large stainless steel soaking tubs. Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, and limited paper towels will be stocked upon arrival. Pool skimming and exterior sweep are performed daily, and a twice-weekly pool cleaning is included. A second-floor yoga platform provides jungle views and the natural salt pool touches every view.
Guests are provided sand-free Dock and Bay towels, poolside lounge chairs with cushions, poolside seating, and three outdoor showers. Additionally, a locked surfboard cage is there for your use along the ocean side path. For the tech-savvy or work from a home guest, Tres Olas includes quality high-speed wifi access to the internet. A 65 inch flat-screen TV is mounted on articulating bracket in the main living room. A portable larger speaker is available for music through your BlueTooth connection, please request to use.

Security
Nosara is absolutely a wonderful community and we can't wait to share all the good things that it has to offer. We care a great deal about our clients and for that reason, we also want to make you aware of one of the véry few downsides to Nosara: petty theft (they usually are out for your cash and your belongings as in any other tourism area). We would like to understand the dynamics of the group, so we can take care of you, put you in the right house and downsize the chance of you having any issues with this. Please feel free to inquire for more information. If not included, the property manager can arrange a dinner guard at an additional cost. The guest is responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables left in and around the Property and for ensuring that all security features available are enabled every time they leave the Property.
Internet and Electricity
In the jungle, the utility infrastructure is unpredictable. There may be power, phone, and/or internet outages and interruptions in service. The Guest should not leave electronics plugged in during rainstorms. There is no guarantee that the Internet will always work. We have an excellent mobile phone signal with Kolbi and data rates are very reasonable. If internet access is always crucial, we encourage you to bring an unlocked phone and get a Kolbi SIM card. Please note that the Homeowner nor the Property Manager has no control over these situations and no refunds or discounts will be offered for outages or interruptions to these services. If there's any problem with the Property, please report it to the Property Manager.
Water
During the dry season months of December through April, the Property may have low water pressure due to temporary or scheduled water outages. This Property has a water reserve tank for Guests during water outages. We will do our best to notify Guests of any interruptions in water service or regularly scheduled water shut-offs.
Jungle creatures
We make every effort to present a well-cleaned home for your arrival. However, it is a jungle out there and nature can move in at any time. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for the fumigation or removal of insects that may enter the Property during the Guest's stay. Even though the house is regularly fumigated on a maintenance schedule, expect to see ants, beetles, spiders, and other assorted insects year-round. Bugs are especially active during the rainy season, May through November. Every effort is made to present a clean home at Check-In. To minimize the impact of bugs on your vacation, please keep food wrapped, store it in the refrigerator, clean kitchen counters and screen doors closed at all times (particularly at night).
Refunds
No refunds will be given for natural disasters, water outages, internet outages, security breaches, personal property losses, or nearby construction noise. This area is a rapidly growing community. There is no guarantee there will not be construction nearby.
Insurance
We encourage all Guests to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from traveling or fulfilling Rental terms.

beautiful home
A beautiful and well appointed home...the pictures don't fully capture the beauty. The layout is optimal for large groups with plenty of private areas but welcoming common spaces. The service was top notch. We will be back.
