Disappointing level of cleanliness

Beds & Linen very comfortable

Poor level of cleaning around whole house. not enough cutlery for more than 4 people despite house having capacity for 9! No black bin for refuse. No instructions in house. TV remote batteries held in by sellotape.

The property had the correct amount of beds and was simple enough to get our heads down. The key access was straight forward.

When we arrived the house next to us was being raided by the police and sniffer dogs. There was also a strange man outside the house 24/7. It made us feel uncomfortable and we have notified the owner. The place overall was alright just to get your head down (if you ignore the comment above) but for us who were using it as a main base...The living space was not big enough. We were a family of 9 )6 adults and 3 children. We were visiting Alton towers but did have breakfast and dinner in the house. There was not enough cutlery (4 forks, 3 knifes) and no trays for cooking with, I had to go out and buy a tray, tin foil and a spatula. I did ask the owner to supply more cutlery and he did so. There is nothing to cook with ie some oil or basic condiments - I have always had something like that supplied in other booking.com/airbnbs. We all had to squeeze round the table for dinner and the photo's made it look much bigger than it was.

Stayed for Port Vale away game, perfect location, some good local pubs, house was easy to enter and use, plenty of beds,.. literally 0 bad things to say.. give oatcakes a go while you're out there

The beds were clean. There was parking right outside the property. Communication from the owners was very good.

Very poor lighting in the kitchen and bathroom due to light fittings not working, had to use a torch. Rug and floor in the front room were dirty and sticky. Kitchen utensils and oven trays were dirty. Neighbours on one side using drugs and another neighbour having a party till the early hours of the morning. The following night the neighbours television was that loud we couldnt sleep.

a big no run down house

it has totally turned me off renting a house again. the street was very run down. inside was worse. the pictures are cleverly taken, as it’s truly shocking inside. I big no from us. we did ring up and complain. demanded a refund, they said we have another house would you like to look at. so we ended up staying there as it was bank holiday weekend. it looked better but again. we could not bath or shower the whole time. no plug for the bath, then the hot water fell out of the bottom of the shower. in all honesty I felt like I was staying over at a council house. never do this again.

The house location is quiet and have a car parking available outside the house.Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Kitchen is big, has all the appliance you needed and spacious to move around.

The stairs is very stip that myself is scared to go up, one family end up sleeping in one bed ground floor. The shower/ bath room is huge but needs attention, the drainage is very slow and it takes time for another person to wait before you can use it and there's no lock. There's only one toilet and it should be separated with the shower. The sink is up high that children can't reached it.

Good location for

The area was quiet, there was plenty of room and good parking. With amenities just around the corner. Good for large group going to Alton Towers.

The decor was dated and the boiler pressure kept dropping out. The downstairs toilet was abit inconvenient & the stairs are quite steep.
