About this house rental

Beautiful 19th century home located in Downtown Ann Arbor blocks from the U of M. Hospitals and Campuses. This rrenovated home has been split into two totally separate units one upper and one lower. This upper unit features four bedrooms with exposed brick, reclaimed wood, and each one with its own television for those lazy mornings! You will wake up refreshed and rejuvenated after a peaceful night's sleep in our luxurious queen-sized beds. The fabulous kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need! It has granite counter tops, garbage disposal, dishwasher and all stainless steel appliances. There is a large living room area where you may lounge on the super comfortable leather couches and snuggle by the cozy electric fireplace while watching a movie on the 65' flat screen TV. The separate dining room has an oak dining room table with chairs. If you need to do laundry there is a sweet little laundry room. This home is set apart, not only by its attention to detail, but its proximity to Downtown Ann Arbor and all of its shopping and famous restaurants! For all of you active people -just around the corner is Argo park which offers a walking/biking trail around the Huron River . The park has a fabulous canoe livery and grilling!

We were 5-6 adults aged 32-79 coming into Ann Arbor for a university event. The house was perfect for us and the description is clear and accurate. Super clean and comfortable, all our needs were amply met. Location is really convenient and walkable to all (the university, Zingermans, downtown, the Huron River walk and kayaking). Kathy was a pleasure to work with and very clear in her communication. High recommendation from me and my whole group.

We have stayed at this property several times. It is our favorite place to stay in Ann Arbor. The house is in a great location with easy access by foot to Kerrytown and downtown. It is a very cute and comfortable home and the owner is extremely communicative and pleasant. We highly recommend this property!

Perfect house, location, and host. I was visiting my son at U Michigan for a few days and this was the perfect base. I especially appreciated the quick communication with the host, Kathy. The bed was super comfortable, WiFi fast, parking off-street and easy. This will be my first choice when returning to Ann Arbor.

We were in town for a wedding. The location was very convenient, and the neighborhood was quiet. It was short drive to downtown and lots of restaurants. This is probably one of the best stocked rentals that we have seen. Coffee, snacks, etc. The listing was accurate, the rooms were all clean and spacious. Host was easy to reach and very accomodating. Don't know if we will be back to Ann Arbor, but if we are I would definetly consider a stay here again.

In town for a family wedding. Location is close but not too close to downtown. You could walk if you wanted to. The host was in constant communication if we needed something. It made me feel very taken care of. We had some family visit while we stayed and it was the perfect gathering place. Everything we needed was there - home away from home.

Loved this property! The owners made it very welcoming! It is an older home (guessing early 1900’s and is very cozy! Plenty of rooms and comfortable beds! I would book the house again!

Absolutely one of the most comfortable places I have ever stayed. Clean, comfortable and walking distance to town, campus and walking trails. Kathy makes communication easy and checks in to make sure you are settling in. I look forward to staying again.

We loved our stay! Very close to the UMich Theater and downtown, convenient off street parking and a clean, well appointed home. Our host responded quickly to questions and left us a nice welcome basket. Thank you, we’ll be back!

We came to Ann Arbor to visit the University of Michigan. The house is well located near shops, restaurants and not far at all from the University. I love the old house and the colorful neighborhood. We had a wonderful stay at this very comfortable property. The host clearly takes good care of the property - the beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you might need. The location is great - a 10 min walked to everything downtown. The host is extremely responsive to questions. Comfortable sofas and chairs to gather in the living room. Just perfect for our stay.

Kathy's place was great! Check in was easy, and she was very quick to reply to any questions we had along the way. The beds were very comfortable and she even went above and beyond to provide us some snacks upon check in. It's a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants in Kerrytown and downtown Ann Arbor. My friends and I had a great weekend!

Three of us long-ago UM classmates wanted to meet in Ann Arbor for a nostalgic weekend, and Kathy's 3 level apartment/house was perfect for us. Plenty of room, wonderfully clean, and everything we needed was there. It's obvious that much care was put into the re-doing of the house. The mattresses were very comfortable, there is a TV in each of the bedrooms plus a large one in the living room (we didn't need them but they were there if we wanted to stream.) Kerrytown is quite close, as is the Gandy Dancer for a nice meal out. All in all, a good base of operations for an Ann Arbor trip.

This is a nice house that is well-equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the home is roomy. One downside is there is an extra charge for every guest beyond 5 guests. But, this kind of defeated the purpose of us reserving a four bedroom home. The host was kind enough to wave that fee for us the last time we were there. But, we are in Ann Arbor for every home football game so that will definitely impact future stays. The parking is limited but that isn't something that the host can really change.

This home was clean, spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Four lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Living room was nice and dinner room that seats 6. It was close to many sights of Ann Arbor. Kayaking on the Huron River, close to the University of Michigan, Botanical Gardens and Tarrytown shops!

My college roommates and are stayed at this property and it was perfect for a reunion! The location to Kerrytown and local restaurants, bars and farmers market was definitely a plus. The house was clean and well equipped and Kathy checked up to make sure everything was satisfactory. Beautiful updated home with charm. Highly recommended this home if staying in Ann Arbor!

Our stay was quite comfortable, thanks to the thoughtfulness of the hosts. The hosts went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and were very responsive when a circuit needed to be reset in the center bedroom. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds. Earplugs were provided for the morning train whistle but I didn’t need them. There is everything you’d need in a home away from home. The home is a short walk to the cascades and a 10 min walk to a vibrant shopping and dining scene, The home was immaculate though the bathrooms were a little musty. There is no back yard on the property and a resident lives below the main floor.

Very happy we got to stay in this beautiful house. It is in excellent condition, very clean and fully stocked with everything you need to feel at home. Kathy is a thoughtful and professional host. She checked on us and had treats for my boys when we arrived. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Parking was easy and convenient. Very close to restaurants and shops in Ann Arbor and a few minutes drive to the UofM. There is a train that passes close by, It wasn’t a big deal for us but kathy has earplugs available in all rooms. The house has a basement that is booked separately, with a separate entrance and parking. Highly recommend staying here.

We had family gathering to celebrate a 95th birthday and 5 of us stayed very comfortably in this beautiful old home. It was exactly as described except that it was even bigger than we expected. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. It’s in a lovely neighborhood and we went for a couple of long walks. Only a few blocks away you can get on a nice trail by the Huron river. We would definitely stay here again if we’re in Ann Arbor.
