Welcome to Casa San Tommaso. A beautiful studio apartment in Praiano, situated in the heart of the world-renowned Amalfi coast. Located only 7 km from the glamorous Positano and a mere 6km’s from the former sea power Amalfi if peace, tranquility and a romantic getaway are what you’re searching for then look no further.
Praiano is situated along the coast, in-between Positano and Amalfi, parallel to the seafront, above and below the windy road runs directly through this small village. Beautiful and brightly coloured villas are built in clusters and are also scattered individually over the green rugged mountain cliffs that plummet into the deep blue Mediterranean. Buildings are built into the rock and flights of steps wind up and down between the buildings. The steps lead to the very top of the mountain and also directly into the dense sea. Dotted around are little beaches, small creeks, luminous grotto’s, a Paradise corner; for example the seashore of La Praia.

This was the most magical trip. Giovanna and Pasquale are such a delight, and SO helpful with transportation, check in, information about the town. Talk about a GORGEOUS property. I will be back. Can’t wait.

This property was exactly as advertised and was a perfect spot for my wife and I to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We wanted to be in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, but not constantly surrounded by crowds. Praiano was perfect, and this studio apartment with a large, glorious patio overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea and the coastline of Amalfi was simply wonderful. It had a kitchen, which we used to cook all breakfasts, some lunches, and three dinners, in eight nights. It was very easy walking distance from two excellent restaurants, and a small market. Also it was a short walk to a bus stop that serves two local bus systems and a longer walk to a bus stop that serves the SITA bus. Location was great. King size bed was great. AC was very good. I cannot thing of anything negative to say about this apartment, and it has my highest recommendation. Of course, as with everywhere on the Amalfi Coast, you have to be mobile and have the ability to do lots of stairs and ramps. We walked down to the beach every day, and by the end of the week, it seemed a lot easier than it did on the first day. The hosts, Giovanna and Pasquale, are wonderful people who will do all within their power to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable visit to Praiano. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars.

The view from the studio is breathtaking. Our hosts are such lovely people and were always available for any questions, tips, even just for a stroll around the neighborhood 😊 Praiano is a quiet little town but easily accessible to neighboring villages on the coast. We had a wonderful stay.

The hosts of the place were absolutely kind & respectful. My husband and I stayed here for my 32 birthday arrived from the us our phones weren’t working , however made attempts from numerous folks phones in passing to dial the 2 numbers provided no answer but luckily found a local to lead us to the casa. The host however showed evidence of trying to reach us via Vrbo but phones were not working so we tried as mentioned contacting them via the local individuals phones. Anyhow once we moved past that everything went great . It’s definitely a very clean casa made in my opinion for no more than a couple, which was ideal for us . We loved all of the stair climbing as we like staying in shape anyway. The only other thing I would say is that the hosts live right underneath the apartment so there is a little bit of a lack of privacy especially if you sit out on balcony. They didn’t come bothering us or anything but it was just a lack of privacy in a sense. FYI the internet sporadically worked but only outdoors. Host mentioned it will be getting looked at which I’m sure it will be ok for the next guests … also normally all of the fees are built into the price & once we arrived we were prompted to pay additional 66$ which was fine but we’re hoping to have paid everything via Vrbo .

This property is so beautiful. The views are spectacular! The hosts are incredible; so very helpful and sweet. You will not only fall in love with the area, but the hosts as well. I will give one word of caution. The terraine of Praiano is not for the faint of heart or weak. Getting to and from the apartment is challenging but if you can physically do it, its well worth the effort. We stayed for 4 days..i wish it were longer, but the memories will last forever.

This place did not disappoint! It was exactly as pictured and described. Perfect accomodations! The serene view from the patio is exactly what we were looking for. The flat was very clean, and had everything we needed.
The big bonus was meeting Giovanna and Pasquale. What SPECIAL PEOPLE!! They really helped make our stay more enjoyable and we are blessed to know them 💜. They had excellent restaurant and activity recommendations, and helped tremendously with our transportation. We so appreciate all of their input, advice, and accommodations. Our four night stay at Pasquale and Giovanna’s studio was perfect. Our goal was to find an accommodation where we could escape the hustle and fully relax in the sun after a couple of weeks of busy honeymoon travel prior. This place was exactly that. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants (highly recommend M’AMA and KASAI) while also cooking a few meals for ourselves. We spent the bulk of our days up on the beautiful deck basking in the sun, enjoying the view and went down to the sea a couple of times to enjoy the poolside restaurant/beach club (IL PIRATA) and to go for a swim. The hosts were fantastic as they were welcoming, arranged a taxi from Praiano to Naples for us and even delivered tiramisu.

Praeano is a much more manageable place to visit on the Amalfi Coast. Some good restaurants and easy enough to go to Amalfi and Positano. The apartment has a great deck a kitchenette. Spring is a great time to go.

Giovanna & Pasqual are wonderful hosts! The property is in a fantastic location, with an unbelievable panoramic view of the ocean. The apartment has everything you need and if you still need anything, the hosts are very easy to reach and help you. There are lots of steps to the property and all over town. They arent kidding when they recommend less luggage. Parking is free, but far. A grocery store and very good restaurants are within walking distance. It should be noted in the booking about needing to see your passports before booking, as well as paying a daily tourist tax in cash. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this special gem in Praiano.

Hard to put into words the beautiful of Praiano and hospitality of the people there! Giovanna was an exceptional host! Answered all my questions in a very timely manner. The unit was extremely clean and was exactly like the pictures! The views are breathtaking! The location was perfect.. We are very close to a local grocery store and beautiful restaurant's! Our honeymoon was beyond our expectations! We even lost a few lbs from all the walking and stairs! Looking forward to staying there again in the future!

The studio is just the perfect size for a couple and the town of Praiano is just the best town to relax and enjoy yourself. It is centerly located on the coast so it is easy to get anywhere. The view from the patio is "priceless"!

A breath-taking hideaway on the Amalfi Coast
Owner sent a ton of detailed info before arrived, so when we couldn’t reach her agent, we were still able to get to the apartment. We drove and parking was very difficult to find! There are hills and steps (67 down to the apartment) to climb so pack light!! The view from the terrace is phenomenal and Pasquale (one of the owners) who ended up letting us in, is very sweet! He offered lots of advice for restaurants, the market, scooter rental and other things to do. Praiano is beautiful, quiet and a welcome respite to the busy crowded towns like Amalfi and Positano. Would definitely stay again!!!

Such a lovely stay!
My husband and I stayed here and we absolutely loved it! The studio space was just what we needed with a bed, bathroom, washing machine, a little kitchen area, and a beautiful & expansive balcony with the most spectacular view! Giovanna was incredibly helpful in the days leading up to our stay and then Domenico was the best during our stay! Anytime we messaged him, he responded so quickly. Not only that, but he sent us the bus schedule, a website with recommended things to do, and helped us understand how to get places we were looking for. We loved Praiano so, so much!! The steps up and down to the apartment are not for the faint of heart but the upside is, you get a lot of great exercise! Praiano is quieter, which we liked but just depends on what you want for your stay!

Quiet Amalfi Coast town away from crowds
Clean apartment with beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Close to restaurants, mini mart, and scooter rental. The buses run across the coast and Giovanni was very helpful with information on logistics. Our hosts even invited us to dine with them and the food was amazing.

Stairway to heaven!
A simple studio apartment with a lovely terrace which has stunning views across the Amalfi Coast during the day and a star filled sky at night. Great communication from the owners and a very warm welcome from Pasquale who is utterly charming.
The Amalfi coast is busy, expensive and not always easily accessible but Praiano is a peaceful haven and we were always happy to return to the quiet tranquility of the apartment where we spent many a happy evening on the terrace with a glass of wine.
There are lots of good local restaurants to choose from as well as shops and bars. Overall this is a great spot from which to explore all that the area has to offer.

Perfect Praiano
Loved our stay here and felt on top of the world in this super sized studio with stunning views over the bay. Pasquale and Giovanni were absolutely delightful, so friendly and so informative. This is the perfect place to rest and relax away from all the crowds yet easily accessible with buses and ferry all just a short stroll away as well as lovely restaurants and magnificent beach. We just lloved it and didn’t want to go home!!! Would highly recommend.

A great choice for a short break
The apartment was clean and comfortable. The hosts made us very welcome and were keen to assist us in settling in. The view from the terrace is as stunning as in the pictures and it really felt special. Parking is limited and the coast road is challenging for nervous drivers. However, the bus services are good which takes away the stress. Be prepared for lots of steps both to access the property and to explore Praiano.

Praiano Heaven
Between Positano and Amalfi, this is a fabulous place for a couple to stay, slightly out of the crowds. The balcony is uniquely well positioned, truly perfect for undisturbed appreciation of day and night views on the most beautiful coastline. The apartment is charming, with air con too. The 68 access steps down to the apartment are not that difficult, taking a couple of days to adjust to. Involuntary exercise is the best sort. The locals have no problems with such things, really admirable. We hired a scooter to get around but there are buses if you prefer. Our hire car was mostly unused, parking being quite hard to find for visitors. There is a nearby supermarket and a delightful restaurant (La Moressa) in walking distance. We scooted to neighbouring towns including Ravello (lovely gardens) and Bomerano (Path of the Gods) in the hills. A day trip by car to Vesuvius and the ruins of Pompei and Herculaneum was magical. We went by ferry to Capri and were blown away by the beauty of the blue grotto! Hosted in our case by Pasquale, we had a really happy visit of a life time and would go back. The lack of a fifth star is solely because the mattress in this truly delightful apartment was very hard in our experience and we had to improvise to soften it. This is completely outweighed by the wonderful experience but cannot be denied. Thank you so much. Loved it!

Amazing Amalfi
We had the most amazing week in the Amalfi coast and much of this was due to the perfect studio in Praiano with its breathtaking views. It is the ideal base for exploring the nearby towns and attractions. What makes the place so special is the warm welcome of the incredible hosts Giovanna and Pasquale who made us feel like family :) Their recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were all ideal. A magical place and perfect location
Me and my fiance had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful apartment in Praiano in January. Sisina and Giovanna are great hosts. Sisina is very sweet and gave us all the information we needed. We had everything we could have asked for.. a kitchen, a view, a perfect location and most of all, peace and quiet. There are a nice set of stairs you have to use to access this property but it is nothing in comparison to accessing some of the other areas of this region. We love to hike so we were able to access The Path of the Gods and Monte Tre Calli from this location.. just a heads up this includes several stairs but the views are worth it! We would love to return in the fall or spring, even in January we had spring weather. What a special place, thank you for a memorable time. We will be back!!

Tough to beat for the price.
The view speaks for itself. I don't know if you'll ever find a better view-to-cost ratio anywhere in the world! The positioning of the deck is perfect for catching sun from sunrise to sunset. If I could, I would rate this studio itself as a 3.5/5 or average. Just having the deck makes the whole unit a steal.
The town of Praiano truly is a gem. The nearby market was lovely, with affordable pasta/bread/cheese/meats and €2.50 bottles of wine! La Moressa is a few steps away where we had probably the best Aperol spritz of our entire Italy trip (and that's saying something!). The bus stop is very close with easy access to Amalfi and Positano.
As for the flat itself it leaves a little bit to be desired. The beds are VERY firm; definitely the most uncomfortable of our trip 19-day trip. The listing also advertises a king bed, when actually it is two twin beds pushed together. The wifi is very spotty. I had to frequently reboot the router and for our last 24 hours, it didn't work at all. If we hadn't planned ahead, this would have been a major inconvenience. Additionally, there wasn't much for basic amenities as the flat didn't have beach towels, toiletries, washing machine detergent or a microwave. Lastly, there is a €50 cleaning fee, €20 euro "utilities" fee, and €1/day local tax per person fee that is not advertised so please be aware of that. While I understand the tax, I found this very misleading and unfair, especially since no one came to clean the unit during our 5-night stay.
If you are okay with the deficiencies described above and looking for a very basic place to stay with an amazing view then do not hesitate to book!

Loved it!
Loved the flat. Loved Praiano. The view from the terrace of this place is amazing. It could not be more spectacular. My wife and I used this place as our base to explore the Amalfi coast for 11 days. We took many long hikes from Praiano and when we wanted to venture out a little further, the SITA bus system was very easy to use with frequent buses so there was no need for a car. We often went to the small markets, the butcher, the fish market etc..and then prepared dinner in the flat. Good local, yet very inexpensive wine and wonderful meats and cheeses were readily available. The people of the area are some of the friendliest we have ever encountered and we felt very welcome even though we were there at a time when there were very few tourists. Giovanna was a pleasure to communicate with. She was always responsive and very helpful. We highly recommend this property.

Wonderful place!
Immaculate and well-appointed studio, with a terrace looking on to a spectacular view. We had incredible sunny warm weather for February. Praiano is ideal for exploring the Amalfi coast- 15 minutes from Positano and about 25 from Amalfi. The car parking spaces are a short walk from the flat, and plentiful. Couldn't have been better- one of our favourite holidays ever!
