If getting there is half the fun, then Crabby Steve’s is bound to be a blast. Tucked away, right on the beach, behind High Pointe Resort (across the street from condo) in Seacrest Beach, Florida, this is a lesser-known treasure of beach cuisine with something for almost everyone.
Crabby Steve’s is an American/Seafood restaurant serving lunch and dinner, and offering a full menu of delicious food, cold libations, coastal cocktails and a view that’ll make you want to stick around long after the last bite of fish is gone. This establishment is kid-friendly, has a full bar, outside seating with a waterfront view and food that keeps even the locals coming back.
Getting to Crabby Steve’s is perhaps the only confusing part as you have to walk in on the beach, or if you’re staying at Highpoint Resort, through the resort grounds. Sorry, no driving up and dropping off at this unique coastal eatery but it’s well worth it once you’re there.
30A Radio’s Cory Davis considers Crabby Steve’s a personal favorite, and had this to say about the Seacrest Beach eatery: “The allure of Crabby Steve’s is the difficulty in getting there. If you’re staying on property it’s easy, but if not you either have to walk a long way on the beach to get there.” Cory goes on to say the fish sandwiches are his favorite and highly recommended. Don’t take a DJ’s word for it though, check it out for yourself the next time you’re on 30A. I think you’ll be glad you did.

Bill’s place was great. Spacious for 2, clean and well equipped with everything you’d need for your stay. Bill was even nice enough to let my pregnant wife and I check in early as our flight arrived at 9:30am. We will not only be back but we will hope to stay at Bill and Carols place again. Great value for money and the beaches were absolutely beautiful.

The property was beautiful and very convenient, right at the heart of Rosemary Beach. The property owner was very nice and very accessible if you needed anything. I highly recommend the property for its excellent location.

Not enough towels, coffee etc. Had to call twice to get proper amount for our stay. Great location for food and shopping needs. Found many of same units online that were much cheaper to rent and better maintained, once we understood where unit was located. All in all, good stay but will shop units more next time.

Let’s start with the location = prefect! Walking to Rosemary Beach is beautiful. Reminded us of the Garden District in New Orleans. Lovely trees and gorgeous homes. Just a short walk to paradise. As for the unit, it fit our needs perfectly. It had all the amenities…bed was super comfortable, bedding was so soft! No need to pack beach chairs, coolers or beach towels. All supplied. So close to beaches and great restaurants. Could not ask for more! We’ll certainly be back!!

All was great....and I am very very picky, so this is a more than stellar review. Place was very clean and bed very comfy. The Village is super cute and beach tram to beach is perfect. Pool out back door is quite nice. The hosts thought of everything like in the listing. The only small bump is that it lists a smart TV. It is a bit older LG that if you want to mirror your smartphone to watch a movie or video from your day, you have to pay a fee for an app. And not sure if would even have worked. We had an early cool night and wanted to watch a pre downloaded movie is all. I would definitely stay here again! Loved location!

The property was exactly as shown and provided all necessary amenities. The beach chairs and towels were much appreciated since we traveled by air and couldn’t bring our own. Saved us paying for daily rentals. Bike rental nearby which we also enjoyed. The community/neighborhood is great for both couples and families. Nice pool, restaurants, shops. Easy to walk to Rosemary Beach for additional shopping and dinner. The host was easy to reach and communicate with. Highly recommend.

The condo was perfect for me and my daughter/her friend to get away and enjoy all 30A has to offer. We loved staying at Bill’s condo. It was the perfect size for myself, my husband and our 2 boys. Plenty of storage space while we were there to keep it nice and tidy. We walked everywhere and it was very convenient to the beach, shops, eating, pool, etc. Would definitely come back! Thanks!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great communicators. We had zero issues with anything here. Parking was not a problem at all. The beach access is about a 5 min walk across the street. Plenty of places to eat around this unit….from rosemary to alys beach you don’t even have to get in your car! Will be back!

This one room open concept efficiency unit worked well for our long-weekend visit for a wedding in the area. The beach chairs and towels were a plus. Loved the little sound machines on each nightstand even though it was off-season and not too crowded/noisy. The lounging pool, heated pool and hot tub right behind the complex were so convenient and lovely. We were in walking distance of many eateries and stores.

We had the best time!! The location is PERFECT. So close to walk to everything. The tram service is easy to use and took us right to the beach. The condo is adorable and the pefect size for my husband and I for our anniversary. We loved being able to use the beach chairs and towels. The pool is right out back. It was so easy to communicate with the owners and they were so kind. Highly, highly recommend!!! Thank you for a perfect weekend!

We had a great stay at this location. The area was the cutest with little shops and restaurants super close. Located right above a ice cream shop! Rent bicycles right in front of the studio, pool located right in back of the unit and a golf cart tram picks you up to take you to the beach just steps away. Had the best time!! Super close to Allys beach too!

…this was our second year to stay at this hidden gem!! Pristine clean, everything you didn’t know you needed is at this place! Extra towels (beach and bathroom) beach chairs, a carrier for all your trips to the beach or pool!! Great fridge and freezer!! Full size bathroom!! Walking distance to some amazing places to eat, you don’t have to leave! Laundry is on the same floor as the VRBO, very handy!! We had the most gracious and kind hosts too!! Everything listed is state of the art and well thought out as far as what you might need during your stay! It’s a 10 plus star rating from us!!

My husband and I stayed for five nights. The condo was just perfect. Comfortable and very convenient. We had a hiccup with the tv signal and Bill responded immediately and had it fixed for us quickly. The complex pools are right behind the condo and the sundries store is perfect for a quick bottle of wine or a sandwich. Also so convenient to very good restaurants and right beside Rosemary Beach. Great vacation. We’ll be back for certain.

Such a cute property and the location was amazing! Bikes just down stairs ready to be rented & lots of food options. Alys beach & Rosemary beach were a walk or bike ride away too! We had a great time and would stay again. The one downside is we wish the entrance of the apartment had lighting, it would get pretty dark at night. Other than that we loved our stay!

We loved the location and amenities of this place! The pool and proximity to shops and restaurants were awesome features. The unit itself is small--the kitchenette isn't set up for much more than microwaving, so plan on eating out or making sandwiches. Everything was clean and comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We took advantage of borrowing the beach chairs provided. The condo is conveniently located in walking distance to tons of shopping and restaurants in Seacrest and Rosemary. The pool is directly across from this unit, and the transit pick up for the beach was easy to use. It is a beautiful area. The beach access for Seacrest is very crowded. That was our only complaint. The condo and community were great though!!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location is wonderful, with easy access to shops, dining and the beach. The place is very clean, the check in process was very easy, and the amenities the owners keep in the room were a nice surprise! We especially loved the beach chairs and umbrella that we couldn't have packed with us since we flew and didn't drive. If there was anything that we needed that wasn't in the room, there is a little grocery store not even a block away. We had a lovely stay and would love to stay there again!
