This house was perfect for our four families. Every family had a king bedroom and connected bathroom. My two older granddaughters had their own bedroom instead of having to go the pullout couch that most rentals have. This house was also perfect for my DIL who had to have meetings on Zoom while vacationing. Our only complaint was the flies. However, all the men loved zapping flies with the provided fly swatters and zapper rackets. We will be back by unanimous decision.

The location and space within the home were amazing! Loved the fire pit, beach views and grilling outside.
Images made this home look immaculate. It was a little more run down than expected. Grill very dirty, tiles falling off around the patio, one dishwasher tagged broken upon arrival and the other never did work. When asked for help with this the property management offered to send over plastic utensils and paper plates. Also, there were major cobwebs on most chandeliers.
No AC downstairs at all but with the morning breeze and open windows that was okay, except the downstairs bedroom. That room was too hot to sleep in and much much smaller than the photos led us to believe.
There were a lot of flies but when asked, the property manager sent some new traps over. There was one minor repair that needed assistance right away and the repair was done timely.
We made it work thanks to the beautiful views, family time and great location.

The location and property were great! The price was high for the home, especially since there were several issues with it, but overall it was lovely. The property manager was very responsive and did their best to address the issues, but it got time consuming and felt like I was back at work solving problems so I wasn’t a fan of not being able to relax on my vacation. The oven didn’t work so many of the groceries we bought to cook went to waste, there was a spare one upstairs but that didn’t work either. The dryer only dried three items at a time so it took hours to do one load of towels, and since this home slept so many people, that was insanely frustrating to not be able to do laundry mid-week for towels alone. The property manager brought more mid-stay so that helped. The slider to the patio is a mess. The doors in the master were broken so we spent two nights up all night from the wind banging them around and had to listen to a high-pitched whistling all night. We moved some heavy furniture up against them to try to hold them closed and stuffed towels in the cracks to help with noise, to no avail. Maddening! I’d recommend a more thorough property management inspection for this property to avoid these issues in the future, and more regular maintenance. We have many rental properties and these things were all avoidable, if someone cared enough to try.
Overall though the location was excellent, the house was as advertised and our family enjoyed the week there!

Took the house as a home base for my work team during a conference. House was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. Views and location were incredible and service from owner leading up to our arrival was professional and efficient.

Great location; spacious house but…….house needs some work. Lowlights as follows:
1. Lost hot water for half of house on Dec.31; notified property managers….no action through remainder of stay (Jan. 3)
2. Downstairs oven not working entire stay
3. HVAC not working entire stay
4. Downstairs WiFi very poor….unable to stream downstairs monitors
5. Overall cleanliness poor…vent system could use a good cleaning

The place is in a wonderful location right on the beach and near the volleyball courts however the place is in need of some serious repairs. The doors did not lock properly, the outdoor tile needs repaired making it unsafe for small kids, the oven did not work so we could not cook, the shower water smelt like sewage, hot tub parts were missing and the place needed to be properly cleaned especially with the fee that they charge. The company was easy to deal with and very responsive and we had a good time but unfortunately it needed a lot of TLC. Thanks for everything!

Great area, wonderful house for my family of eleven, so much space - separate bedrooms/ bathrooms, huge kitchen area. Walking distance to the Belmont Park. Close to a small grocery store. Found a great take out pizza and Mexican restaurant on Mission Blvd. kids had fun using the rental scooters.
Only issues we had were termites in the master bedroom and laundry area on second floor. The oven wasn’t working on the main floor but was able to use the oven in the second floor kitchen.
I would stay here again. Our hosts responded quickly with our questions.

We had a great time with our family of 11 staying at this amazing house. Large beds in each room, bathrooms for all bedrooms was great. Enjoyed the large kitchen and family room over looking the ocean. We loved sitting on the patio overlooking the boardwalk and beach.

The property has gorgeous views, is steps to the beach and is great for people-watching! It is close to all things San Diego. The space was fantastic for our large family reunion including an infant all the way up to our 90 year old mother for whom we were celebrating this milestone! In addition, the property managers were super responsive. However, the home needs much TLC. The windows were very dirty, the place was not really clean upon check-in, and one of the bathrooms was in poor shape (rusted out drain). The home needs updating from top to bottom. Even so, we all enjoyed our time.

Wonderful location for toddlers to enjoy the beach and still be close to "home" with easy access to parks, restaurants. Spacious living area with great bedrooms, but be aware that the main level bedroom is very small with a double bed. Worked for us though.

Side gate without latch or lock, which allowed someone to enter the house and steal money from wallets on kitchen counter, nonfunctional oven repaired day 4 of stay, freezer in gourmet kitchen didn’t work, built in microwave didn’t work and tiny countertop model available. House was dirty; we couldn’t see out the gorgeous big windows (we bought windex and cleaned them). Every toilet seat was loose and pinched the grandkids. The water heater failed during our stay. Main floor has no heat or a/c (and no thermostat). Multiple windows have missing (or nonfunctiona)l cranks. Windows leaked air constantly . 6th bedroom looks like a converted mud room with an outside door. In its current state of disrepair this property should rent for half of what was charged.

We loved our time in San Diego!! It was perfect for our group of ladies. AvantStay was super responsive and made it easy! We had a minor issue getting into the property, but they answered swiftly. Would recommend!

We rented this house for a weekend sixtieth birthday trip for my wife. We have twenty people in two houses a short walk from the each other. Katelyn our host was amazing. She lined up Sean our amazing chef and his team for an elegant birthday dinner and bonfire on the beach. She also lined up a party bus and secured us prime tables in two of the busiest dance clubs in the Gaslamp District on Saturday night. Our guests can’t stop talking about the incredible weekend we had.

Five of us hunkered down to write proposals for our company's funding packages! It was ideal. Our only complaint is that we wished we had been warned NOT to keep the sliding glass door open as many bugs came in and swarmed in the evening! We were able to turn off the lights when we went out to dinner and they all died, but we had to then clean them up. It would be be great if there was a screen door on the doors so that we could keep them open and not worry about bugs! Other than that, it was great.

Prime location, beach front
The property was as described, large, clean and right on the prime part of the beach, completely beach front! Being in S Mission, it’s a littler quieter and offers plenty of parking. The property management team was extremely responsive and very easy to work with during our stay! My only feedback would be they need a new hot tub cover for the spa and sadly SD has a horrible fly problem, I think having trash removed more frequently and additional fly traps, measures in the house would be helpful. Thank you for the great stay!

South Mission Beach
This is a fabulous property for accommodating a wide age range of guests. It is well equipped and beautifully located. Our only negative was the fact that the trash cans were completely full when we arrived and led to a terrible infestation of flies. It took us a day or two to realize what was causing the problem but when we requested help, management responded within the hour.

Besides being on a beautiful huge flat beach in San Diego, this house had the perfect layout for our group. We had six couples, in this house everyone had their own king bed plus their own bathroom, plus lots of room for kids. It’s not a quiet spot but for us this was fun, lots of great people watching. And having the beach right outside your front door can’t be beat.

We had a great time during our stay. The house is in a perfect location, just a short walk to Belmont Park. The management company is always available and quickly responds to any questions. It is in the airport path, so the planes are noisy, but there are fans in the house to help block out the noises at night. We would definitely stay there again.
