It's clear from the onset that your experience with RnR will be better than booking a short term stay on a mega short term rental App. They have great communication and are flexible where possible. Thanks for a great stay! The house was comfortable and had everything that we needed. Beds/pillows were very comfy and the hot tub at the end of the day was delightful. The gas fireplace in the master kept the room cozy. Nice quiet neighborhood. Mgmt team was helpful with a lot of communication. Would recommend rental car for this location as the Ubers are outrageous! $50-60 each way to go to South Lake Tahoe/Heavenly even though the drive was under 10 minutes. Other than that we have no complaints!

The cabin is in a great location for skiing at Heavenly and close to the lake for dining out and shopping. There is a large backyard, hot tub, and fairly stocked kitchen. The cabin was very clean when we arrived, but since this is a pet friendly cabin there is a little pet hair around even though we do not have pets. Overall a very clean and convenient cabin, and we would stay again in the future.

Location is great. We brought our bikes, tons of trails right down the street. Trail runs right next to a beautiful creek. Saw 2 bears on our trip. Master bedroom was great. Bowls and poop bags provided for the dogs, however dogs are not allowed in bedrooms. Our 2 large dogs are crate trained, but we weren’t prepared to have to crate them in the tight living quarters/kitchen in the front of the house. It’s a minimal issue, just found it weird. Everything was clean and the washer and dryer upstairs was a great bonus. We really looked forward to the hot tub, unfortunately we couldn’t get anyone to come service it. Even asking more than twice to customer service. It got disgusting, it wasn’t extremely clean to begin with. So we weren’t able to use it every night as we intended to(and paid for). They do charge you if you ask for it to be cleaned, I found this off putting but wasnt the end of the world. The bigger issue was no one showing up to service it after the multiple contact attempts. Kitchen is well stocked, bbq worked great and we enjoyed the fire place and large dining room table and couch with our friends.

We are two senior couples who needed a pet-friendly property. Golden Bear Pause fit our needs nicely, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a fully fenced yard, and a quiet, well-situated location. The house was well-equipped and clean, with a few minor items that need updating. The management company responded quickly when we had some questions. We would stay here again.

The house was immaculate and welcoming. The house was located very close to many beautiful forest trails which we visited twice a day. We found that every amenity was available from ceiling fans to complete kitchen and hot tub! The property manager checked in a few times and was very helpful. All in all a great place to call home. Very easy check in and check out too!

Close to the Californua lodge at Heavenly and a short drive to the Heavenly Village and the night life of South Lake Tahoe. Our party of two couples, a toddler, and a dog all enjoyed our stay, and we would come again.
Because of the extreme amount of snow and ice on the roof from all the big storms this year, there was a wet spot in the carpet near the wall in the kitchen, but the management company was very responsive and sent a maintenance person out to check.
The fenced in backyard was great for easy sledding with our three year old, and our dog had a blast as well (there’s also a bigger neighborhood sledding hill behind the nearby fire station that we love). The furniture and beds were clean and comfortable, but it would be great if the owners could add another bedside table to the downstairs bedroom.
We do like to cook, and I would say main thing keeping the house from being perfect is the quantity, quality, and condition of the pots and pans - most are beat up, with loose handles and lids that don’t fit. On the plus side, there is an instant pot and crockpot, as well as plenty of dishware, a coffeemaker, etc.

We booked this place on the snowiest weekend of 23 Tahoe. The indoor gas fireplaces were so oozy as the snow fell. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and we loved having the hot tub.

We were very disappointed in RnR vacation rental company. We arrived on Monday and went to use the hot tub. The lock to the hot tub broke and only 1 jet in the hot tub was working. I contacted RnR and to inform them about the lock and the hot tub issue. I was informed they would bring a new lock and look into the hot tub issue. Two days later I called again. I was informed someone would come out and look at the hot tub but they were very busy and they could not come out until Saturday. We also informed them the water was cloudy. Someone came Saturday and tried to repair the hot tub. No lock was provided at that time. Thankfully we didn’t have small children who could have accidentally climbed in and drowned.
Our main reason for renting a home is the hot tub and location. It’s a perfect location but we were disappointed in RnR service.
The house is well stocked and the master bedroom bed was perfect.

This home was a good fit for our group. The bed in the master bedroom was quite firm and my husband and I were feeling it every morning. The open concept kitchen/dining/living area were terrific and we enjoyed being together. The hot tub was very nice but there was not steps to get in or out making it a challenge each time. We are tall but it was still difficult. Also, the hot tub does not have the bar holder to help with top. Therefore each time you open it falls to the ground making for alot of wear and tear on the top and needing extra strength and definitely two people to open and close it. The managment company RnR is wonderful and we have rented from them before and would always seek them out in the future. A few small tweaks and this home could be five star. Overall we enjoyed our time.

Appreciate being able to take our dog and home does not smell which was wonderful. I reported an issue with the patio blinds that were going to be fixed after our departure. We love staying in Tahoe and especially at Golden Bear Pause. It is always very neat and clean when we arrive so we leave it as good as possible when we leave too. This house had a great floor plan for our family but it did have a few issues. It would be very difficult to park 2 cars in the garage. There's stuff jammed against the far side and front of the garage. My SUV barely fit lengthwise. The kitchen is over stocked in some things and under stocked in others. The dishwasher lower rack was broken. When I notified the manager she informed they had one on order. Since I had spoken with one of them on check-in it would have been nice to have been told up front. The management company was responsive when I did call. I feel the whole house needs a deep cleaning. The oven racks were quite dirty. They also should do a thorough inventory and organize. I personally will not return.

The blinds in both bedrooms blow at night when the heater is on and will keep you awake. The dryer upstairs is not vented outside and is a fire hazard, there is a foot of dirt and towels behind them. The driveway is such a hazard that we could not get to our vehicles. And it says there’s room for three vehicles and there isn’t in the driveway. We could not get a car in the garage. Our truck slid halfway down. The bathroom baseboards were really gross, nothing a little paint won’t help. One last thing, the garage was filthy and they had stuff stacked around the water heater and the heater which is not safe. Would I stay here again no, would I recommend this place no. People do some work clean it up.

The blinds in both bedrooms blow at night when the heater is on and will keep you awake. The dryer upstairs is not vented outside and is a fire hazard, there is a foot of dirt and towels behind them. The driveway is such a hazard that we could not get to our vehicles. And it says there’s room for three vehicles and there isn’t in the driveway. We could not get a car in the garage. Our truck slid halfway down. The bathroom baseboards were really gross, nothing a little paint won’t help. One last thing, the garage was filthy and they had stuff stacked around the water heater and the heater which is not safe. Would I stay here again no, would I recommend this place no. People do some work clean it up.

Our family had a truly fabulous stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, in a great location, and just as described. We used the hot tub every day. We appreciated that the backyard was well fenced for our dogs. The beds are super comfortable. Everything was extremely clean. We would not hesitate to come here again.

This home was perfect for us! It has everything you need and is in a perfect location especially if you want to ski heavenly. The hot tub was a plus! We had an issue with the oven (turned out it was in celcius) and the property manager was great help.Would stay here again for sure!

The house was advertised. Very clean and nice. Nice neighborhood close to everything you will need. The property management company was great to deal with. They had great communication and all aspects of the process was a breeze. If you're looking for a perfect home for your small family, look no further.
