Overall good stay

The positives: -Great location -Super comfortable beds ( we slept very well) -Overall good value for money -Good WiFi and Netflix -Well equipped kitchen (except very old pans with Teflon coming off which is a bit unsafe)

The negatives; - We didn't receive access code for check in as promised. Had to chase the office ( cominucation was good though) -There was lots of hair in bedsheets when we arrived which was a bit gross - As someone mentioned in the other review it would be nice to add some more decorative elements like lamp in the living room and curtains in the main bedroom

Frustrating, parted with far to much personal data. Description does not reflect the property.

The booking cost was not refundable and only after booking are you notified of the £250 deposit + £5 admin fee which is held for the period from booking to 14 days after. (I have still to receive mine at day 14) The identification process through 'Superhog' is ridiculous and involved 3 attempts at uploading my passport photo. I felt we shared far too much personal information with the agent but all of this is after the non-refundable payment has been made. We also continued to receive this ID email 2 or 3 times after successfully uploading our data. As with other reviews, it is wrong to class this as a 2 bed unless you are travelling with your own children. The bathroom is through the main bedroom and friends could not use this property as a 2 bed. 'Stylish' is a subjective term but I would advise you manage your expectations if you think stylish suggests high quality decor and comfortable furnishings. The shared entrance resembles a homeless shelter.

Cosy residential location, easy walking distance from Windsor centre and highlights

Good location handy to castle, central shopping area, and train station, but on a fairly quiet residential street. Smooth check-in process. Decent space for our family of four, and well equipped (e.g. washing machine in bathroom, with washing powder). Wi-fi and parking permit provided (although we didn't need the latter). Helpful online property manual.

There was an additional online identity verification process and damage deposit payable, which I hadn't expected having gone through booking.com. Bathroom light didn't work (so we needed to take a torch in at night), which property manager tried, but was unable, to remedy during our stay. Also, bathroom was only accessible through main bedroom, meaning we were woken by our kids in the middle of the night when they needed to use it (and I wouldn't recommend the property for groups of friends).

Good location

It was a great location, close to Windsor for the castle and shopping. The place inside was clean and a good layout for families.

There was only one key to the door and it locks behind you. We locked ourselves out and the owners were not contactable. It was a very anxious few hours at 11 o clock at night with 3 children, unable to get into the house or contact anyone. We ended up paying over £200 to a locksmith to open the door. A second key would be essential to future guests and a number that guests could contact in case of emergency. There was work going on in the little outdoor space at the back of the property with scaffolding and nails etc on the ground. We were a little freaked out when we locked the gate to the alley and hung out clothes only to come back later to find the clothes piled up on a clothes horse (the builders obviously broke the clothes line when they entered the back gate and picked up the clothes off the ground) and the back gate was open again. We were not informed that there would be anyone around the property during our stay.

The property description was misleading regarding the location of the only bathroom and toilet I.e. that the bathroom had to be accessed through bedroom 1. We were with friends so this caused significant embarrassment which impacted our stay

The only positive thing I can say about this accommodation is the location is great

In my opinion this accommodation was unfit and dangerous. I had my 4 year old with me and I was so shocked when I saw the radiator broken with sharp edges hanging off the wall, the lamp was broken and sharp and the carpet grips were exposed which my son did actually stand on. The front window doesn't have curtains so we didn't use the living room after dark. The TV hardly worked. The garden had dog or cat poo and was very over grown so didn't have the option to sit out.

Not only had the apartment not been cleaned on our arrival after the previous renters, but the outside area was disgusting - weeds, discarded poo bags - obviously been neglected for a long time. We stayed long enough to book ourselves into the nearest hotel. One good point we were given a full refund without quibble.

close to town and all ground floor as elderly travelling with us, nice size rooms and beds, good kitchen

no thermostat, whole place was freezing cold all weekend, answer machine only. locks not the securest, and needs a shower or toilet in second bedroom as bath slippy and needs handle for less able bodied / disabled to wash. and walking through other bedroom to wc was problematic.

Convenient for facilities.

There were no instructions on how to get the central heating to work. We were absolutely freezing the first night (old age pensioners) until we found a hidden thermostat which was set to 10 degrees. Surely the heating should have been on for our arrival and some instructions for the thermostat etc.

Nice place, well equipped, but badly kept and not clean.

Good Location, modern looking and well laid out and equipped.

Not clean, there were either food or old blood marks on some linen, bedding and cushions. spiderwebs at cornices of the rooms, really poor cleaning - AND you get charged charged £70 on top of your booking for cleaning…. (what cleaning?) Bedding is old and pillows are flat and not comfortable. mattresses are saggy and feel old or warn.

One bathroom that could only be accessed via main bedroom so probably OK for young family but if we had been accompanied by other adult couple with 2nd bedroom in use then it would not have worked. So one couple very good or couple with young child/children very good.

Not as expected and overall disappointing for the price

Location wasn't as close as it was made out to be.

Standard of the apartment wasn't as good as the photos suggested and it wasn't well decorated, ventilated or comfortable. Electrical safety issues in the entrance and damp and mould in the bathroom.

This is excellently located, close to the town centre and good sized rooms. TV had netflix and others to access which is a great bonus. We had a really good time and it did the job for us, nothing wrong as such but see below as not advertised 100% honestly.

The bathroom is through one of the bedrooms which they have failed to make clear in the advert for the apartment. Meaning my friend had to walk in through my bedroom to go to the toilet in the night. It's dishonest not to mention this in the advert. Also the parking is not private, it's on the road. So 'private' implies a driveway. The road was so full, we were lucky to get a space and it wasn't right outside the property

Brilliant find in Windsor!

We were well informed for check-in and out. Quick correspondence with the owner. The apartment was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Parking was easy with the provided parking permit. The location was great, close to the centre of Windsor and the castle. A grocery shop is located 7 minutes on foot away, which was handy. There is an enclosed back patio which was useful for the dog as well. We had a lovely time and are happy that we have found this dog-friendly apartment.

Having to access bathroom through first bedroom, no window in second bedroom, only a door so no ventilation, sink in bathroom blocked, dirty dishes in dishwasher, should have had 4 outside chairs and table, there’s was no table and only 2 chairs, apartment very poorly decorated

Convenient location close to town centre.

The location close to the town was perfect for us. It was also close to a supermarket, which was very handy.

There was a terible smell when we arrived, which rendered the living room almost unusable. The owners were extremely helpful, and sent a cleaner to try to sort it out, but sadly it didn't work.

Ok apartment in a great location.

Great location. Poor communication over key lock . Waited an hour for booking.com staff to find out number to lock as it wasn’t sent via e mail prior to our arrival , despite my e mail informing of our arrival time .

Apartment smelt of damp . Terrestrial TV not working .

disappointed with accommodation, would like compensation, would find a return difficult due to above. hope it improves f

location was great.double beds comfy, bathroom and towel clean and nice

needs a good cleaner that moves things around and doesn’t just clean what’s is initially visible. lots of dirt and dust in rooms. sofa bed uncomfortable and blood stained duvet disgusting, needs curtains or blind in lounge. garden disgraceful for summer sitting out purposes and the fag flowerpot something else! needs a microwave to help you cut your gas consumption.

sub standard …. imagine letting out a 2 bedroom ‘stylish apartment’ where one couple have to come through the other couples bedroom during the night to use the toilet …. appalling
