Beautifully styled natural modern home with an eco touch. Loved all the little extra touches and creature comforts that were provided and our welcome gift upon arrival. Plenty of space for the family and spectacular views of ocean and sunrise/sunset. We loved taking the kayaks out to explore, although the mudflats were quite rocky so bring your reef shoes. The fishing was also great. Loved the outdoor fireplace to cook, toast marshmallows and enjoy the outdoor areas. It was a little cold with lots of glass windows, tiles and open plan living, so a little heating would have been good. The kids also felt the cold having their beds right near the windows so make sure to rug up in winter but all in all a beautiful holiday location for us to relax and we will be back.

We had a great time at Sunny's hideout. The best bits were the complimentary kayaks and stand-up paddle board and the great location to use them in. It was lovely looking out to Straddie, whether tide was in or out, and fun to explore the mangroves along the shore with the boats. And what a beautiful house to base ourselves! We all swooned over the house. We were surprised and delighted by the little gifts (fruit, food and honey), for our use and made good use of the games in the cupboard. We took our bikes and explored both Macleay and Russell Islands which was great. The only downsides were the sparse curtains in the bedroom (none for the kid's beds) which made for an early start and night time moon shine, and the lack of sheets for the kid's beds. Due to the roof design we were using doonas in early April because it seems to leak a lot of warmth from the bedrooms. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this house.

Wonderful house - spacious, airy and beautiful touches of comfort. Great aspect overlooking the water and sunrises. Peaceful location, great for the kids to explore and play. Don't want too many people to know about it as we hope to be back!
