Wer ein aussergewöhnliches Ambiente im Kollonialstil sucht ist hier richtig!

Ausgefallene Einrichtung, geräumige Zimmer und sehr grosses Badezimmer. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und man hat einen schönen Blick in die Bucht von Essaouira!

Die Matratzen und Kissen waren sehr hart und die tolle Dachterrasse war für marokkanische Verhältnisse sehr lieblos und undekorativ gestaltet. Schade, könnte man echt was draus machen. Leider war der Hühnerstall unter dem Fenster ziemlich störend, da der Hahn permanent gekräht hat.

Wunderbares Riad, perfekt gelegen zwischen Medina und Atlantik in der großartigen Stadt Essaouira.

Die Lage des Riads ist perfekt! Hinter der Stadtmauer am Rand der Medina und gleichzeitig nur 2 Minuten vom Atlantik entfernt! Von unserem Fenster aus, konnten wir sogar das Wasser und den Strand sehen! 😊 Die Mitarbeiter der Villa De L`Ô, Noureddine und Mohamed an der Rezeption, sind unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und freuen sich, den Gästen bei ihren Anliegen zu unterstützen. Noureddine hat für uns sogar mehrmals in einem Geschäft in Marrakech angerufen, um uns zu helfen, etwas von dort nach Essaouira im Bus transportieren zu lassen. Er hat auch völlig unkompliziert den Kontakt zu einem Pferdehof vermittelt, so dass wir einen wunderbaren Ausritt an den Strand erleben konnten. Auch Ismail, der uns jeden Morgen ein sehr leckeres Frühstück serviert hat, freut sich darüber, den Gästen jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Es war auch schön, sich mit der freundlichen Kollegin Khadija, die unsere Suite sauber machte, zu unterhalten - sie hat ein sehr freundliches, zugewandtes Wesen.

Not bad but look at the room before you pay

Great location, right in the heart of the Medina and with great views of the coast. Very spacious rooms and and old world charm. Lots of antiques in the rooms and with in the property and the staff were great.

The hotel and rooms although historically looking are a little tired and run down. Our room was huge with a large built in bath but the tables were damaged, the robes were old and grey not white and soft, the pillows didn’t fit into the pillow cases and some of the pillows on the bed were dirty. The room was dusty and some of the areas down stairs had a stale musty smell. It was once one of the best Riads in town but not any more. The room was also expensive in comparison to others for same quality in town. Breakfast was fine and the staff did all they could to give us another room. But the owner should invest some money into lifting the hotel to its former glory.

Thoughtfull, obliging helpfull host. If only all could be like this. He went more than that extra step in so many ways. From dinner reservations to organising taxis. Magnificent property Description and servives match reality Short walk to the centre of the Medina and the craziness

There are far better places to stay

The building is beautiful lots of natural timber, doors, floors and decor a lovely Portuguese inspired Riad. The position is fabulous. The staff were very friendly and helpful

Unfortunately the owner/management have let the place go. Mouldy smelly room, greying towels and bathrobes most uninviting, tiniest bottle of water and not replaced, dangerous shower floor (sloping) and it does not drain properly. The shower sprays water outside the shower making the tiles dangerously slippery. The bedside lamps were so awkwardly placed we banged into them several times. The bathroom itself was only divided from the bed by a flimsy curtain. There is no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room as stated. Until they spend some money on it.

relaxed stay in stunning surroundings

amazing staff, helpful and caring. Riad is beautiful and comfortable. location is perfect set on the edge of the Medina and a short walk to the beach and port. breakfast here is plentiful and fresh. Essaouira is relaxed and ideal for families. great experience. highly recommended would stay at Villa De L’O again in a heartbeat. thank you to all the team for looking after us so well.

old charm with quirks

location within the Medina walls. close to restaurants and shops. staff was friendly and had good recommendations.

note we stayed in the top floor with our own private terrace. the view was amazing . Note there is no lift( we knew this when booking) 5 flights of stairs is a lot but the staff were gracious and helped with our luggage. Essouira is a fishing town and the property is close to the fish market which means smells which accompany this. The most annoying part was the constant sound of seagulls that sounded like cats! All night long. I am a light sleeper so this interrupted my sleep. The birds were right outside our window balcony all night long. Still a very cool old building with lots of Moroccan charm.

Excellent!

We loved staying here! The staff are exceptional and so helpful - take their recommendations on restaurants, they were spot on! The breakfast is excellent, the riad beautiful and our room was huge with a great view over the bay. Great location too - perfectly situated between the beach and the heart of the medina.

The location was perfect, everyone working there was very nice and friendly. I really enjoyed the breakfast, very tasty and with a home made taste. The room was very spacious. The rooftop offers a spectacular view of the Essaouira beach.

Beautiful riad within the Medina walls with ocean view and overlooking the entire town beach bay! Most friendly staff that we’ve encountered in Morocco (and we’ve been treated like kings everywhere)! Stylishly decorated rooms, best breakfast in Morocco so far and perfect base to walk around Essaouira and discover the medina.

All was well, but make sure to call up beforehand, as you’ll need assistance to find a parking spot!

It was worth the 3 year covid cancellation wait - it totally exceeded our expectations.

The breakfast was utterly amazing - served by the most brilliant and friendly staff. The view from the roof terrace is spectacular and we were treated brilliantly. Redouane was the best and most helpful Manager we have ever experienced and the whole team looked after us from booking anything we requested, to making fabulous suggestions on where to go and what to do. They really exceeded customer service. The hotel has such charm but perhaps needs a little love spent on it but it was an excellent location, full of quirkiness and amazing staff.

Not a lot. Perhaps the hotel could have a touch up and perhaps bring the price down a little to be in line with it's competitors.
