With a sleek, mid-century aesthetic not typically found at the beach, this beautiful home in a tranquil neighborhood of Manzanita will bring an enduring sense of calm to your next escape to the Northern Oregon Coast. Modeled after the renowned Coast Cabins, this home is owned by artists and musicians with long-standing ties to Manzanita, and it has been decorated with the artwork, books, and music that they themselves created or hold dear. So step inside and feel the love that has gone into every aspect of this home.
The main living space is open, airy, and full of light, with windows that reach the ceiling and let in beautiful views of the surrounding evergreens. There are richly hued wood furnishings, accents, and cabinetry, as well as elegant, streamlined fixtures that contribute to the peaceful atmosphere. You can walk home from the beach to toss the day's swimsuits in the washer/dryer, and take a seat outside on the tree-lined patio that's warmed by a Rais fireplace. In the evening, bring a bottle of wine out to the elevated deck, prepare a homemade meal in the modern and well-appointed kitchenette (with a mini-fridge, a four-burner gas stove, a combination convection/microwave oven, and a dishwasher), and play your favorite soundtrack on the excellent stereo system. After dinner, you can curl up on the soft leather sofa and unwind with a favorite movie playing on cable, Netflix, or DVD/Blu-ray.
What's nearby:
This part of Manzanita, just up the hill from the beach, is delightfully quiet thanks to a general absence of car and foot traffic. It's beautifully wooded yet it also tends to be warmer and sunnier than the low-lying areas, which you'll still be able to reach on foot. The wide ocean beach is just over half a mile west, while Laneda Avenue - the town's main thoroughfare that's lined with charming eateries, shops, and galleries - is less than half a mile south.
Things to know:
High-speed WiFi
Kitchenette with a mini-fridge, a four-burner gas stove, a combination convection/microwave oven, and a dishwasher
The stereo system accepts CDs, Blu-rays, DVDs, and 1/8-inch input from phones or computers
The fireplace is outside on the patio
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

This house is beautiful and basically as advertised. No freezer which was unexpected. Prefer to work with owner nt Vacasa. Would rather go with Airbnb.

The house was wonderfully secluded from the busy town. It was clean and spacious with all the amenities we wanted. We would definitely return to this property.

It's a beautiful house with everything you might need for your stay. The place is quiet, and it's about 10 mins walk to the beach and town center. Surrounded by pine trees, beautiful hikes and gorgeous ocean. We had a great stay and would love to come again!

The house is pretty cute. Tastefully decorated and in a great location. It feels very secluded and private despite being in a neighborhood. The coffee table was a huge hit! The back porch area is really nice to sit on and enjoy coffee. The appliances are all really nice, as well. Only downside, (not that it’s a huge deal) was that there’s not an actual oven. We wanted to make some foods for thanksgiving to bring to our friends, but were unable to. There is a smaller convection oven, though.

We liked the open space of this house and the simplicity of the furnishings. The access is easy and close to the town.

Thanks! Brad and Kasey from Portland

We absolutely loved this house. It was within walking distance of the beach and town and the Friday night flea market. We will definitely stay here again when we travel back to Manzanita.

Location was awesome. A short walk to town or the beach. The decor was very well done and it had everything we needed. It was easy to relax and the beds were so comfy.

Except for the beds not being made, a dirty bathroom sink, zero condiments except for salt and pepper (not even a teabag), it was a basic no-frills stay. This property is in Manzanita, so it is quite expensive in comparison to other properties other places.

⁃ Lightbulb out above dining table
⁃ Tv apparatus unplugged
⁃ No coffee filters
⁃ No freezer
⁃ Sticky marshmallow skewers (dirty) poking out of cupboard
⁃ Inaccurate website info about pet policies
⁃ No tissues
⁃ Toilet handle broken
⁃ Only one beach towel
Positives:
⁃ Comfortable bed

Really enjoyed being surrounded by the trees but also easily walkable to the beach - felt like the best of both worlds. The house has everything you need, is comfortable, and clean, with some cool design choices too. As others have noted, there isn't a standard oven but we knew about this beforehand and it didn't affect our trip.

If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place. The house is nestled among conifer trees on the quietest street.

This was a very nice place but not exactly close to the beach or town. And with huge hills back and forth! We had three adults for three nights. We had one and a half rolls of toilet paper and one small bottle of shampoo so make sure to bring extra so you don’t have to shop like we did. The fire pit was a lot of fun and so was the back deck.

Loved the lay-out, quality of furnishings and appliances, decor and location of the home. The home was generally clean, but had a very musty / damp hay smell. Would definitely consider returning.

We had a fun filled week in Sisters and loved the location of the home. We could easily walk to town and it was a short drive to numerous, gorgeous hiking trails. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in; it was great to wake up rested every morning. An unexpected plus was the ease of using the Smart TV. We got to watch our favorite shows without any hassle. Lesley and Christie were kind and responsive hosts.

Great place to stay.
Super clean and very attractive home that is laid out very well. An easy 0.7 mile walk to town.

Great for 2 people
The house was perfect for 2 people. Decor is fun & cool. Location is close to town & convenient to Hwy 101. Kitchen is stocked with dishes and pots & pans if you want to cook. Small frig is adequate, no freezer. Microwave/convection. No regular oven. Gas stovetop is nice. Primary bedroom no hangers in closet. Bathroom has towel heater. W/D. Key in lockbox on front fence. Front door window could use frosted window film for privacy & light still comes in. No directions on how to play movies. Suggest printed list for checkout: pull sheets & towels, run dishwasher, put trash in one bag, turn off lights & heat, lock windows, close blinds, return key to lockbox. Would stay here again!

Lovely, clean, easy
This is a lovely home. We were comfortable and enjoyed it very much.
I would like to recommend that the hosts make it clear that the kitchen is pretty minimal: there is no freezer (tiny fridge) and a large microwave/convection oven instead of a regular oven. We made it work but love to cook and would’ve been disappointed had it been a longer stay. But I’d certainly go back and would alter my cooking plans accordingly.

Excellent Rental Home
We found this property surpassed our expectations and provided us with a scenic and comfortable environment. The SurLaTable cookware was an added bonus!
The only challenge we faced was the location of the dishes which was much higher than our height and we didn’t locate a step stool to access the items we needed.
We highly recommend this rental as the ambiance is not to be surpassed.

Great location!
Awesome location for a seaside get away! Family friendly and Very nicely cared for rental with all you will need. The only thing I’d say is it isn’t very clear when booking that the unit DOES NOT have a standard oven or a freezer. Had to run out and buy a cooler to keep ice handy for our vacation cocktails.

Beautiful, cozy, peaceful cabin in the woods
Clean and beautiful with an easy walk to town and the beach. The microwave oven combo worked well to bake a berry cobbler. And the mini fridge was all we needed.
