About this cabin rental

Enjoy the beautiful scenic views as you relax in the heated, geothermal pool. The pool is open year round and kept around 92° in the summer and 102° in the winter for your ultimate comfort.

There is room for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable in their own space in this beautifully updated 3600 sf home. Boasting 5 bedrooms, 3 of them being masters including the family suite that sleeps 5 and 3.5 bathrooms, you will have every comfort. There is even a half bath located outside next to the pool so you don't have to worry about drying off to go inside or little ones running wet on the tile floors.

When you enter on the ground floor, you will see the beautiful log staircase, dry pond and stone archways. Three of the 5 bedrooms, including the family suite are located on this lower floor. The huge family suite has 2 queen beds along with a twin bed in a private nook. The Rustic room with the sliding barn door and queen bed is a welcoming retreat.
The Sun room, named for the large bay windows, is quiet and comfortable. Also down stairs is the shared Grotto bathroom. The huge river rock shower with a new high-pressure shower head, a soaring 2 story ceiling and the toadstool seat to rest on are a truly unique feature. The small living room downstairs has a pullout sofa along with a TV and DVD player.

Head upstairs on the majestic log spiraling staircase and the first sight you will see is the custom kitchen. This huge gourmet kitchen gives room for everyone to gather and leaves room for the cooks to enjoy their space too! You will have everything you need to create your favorite dishes and entertain the whole crowd! Next to the kitchen is a new bar area, complete with an extra fridge.

The heated geothermal floors will keep you cozy and warm in the winter. During the summer months, open the doors and windows in the evening to quickly cool the house down. There are also fans in each room for your comfort since there is no whole home A/C on the property (yet.) There is a centrally located A/C window unit now installed upstairs and three portable evaporative fans with ice boxes to further help with cooling on the extra hot days.

2 Living rooms are also upstairs, one to enjoy the beautiful mountain views and the other for relaxing and playing games or streaming your favorite movies and tv shows. Fires are not permitted in the indoor fireplaces. You are welcome to turn on the electric fireplaces for added ambiance.

Around the corner from the second living room is a long hallway where you come to the 2 master suites, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed, both have direct access to the pool! At the end of the hallway is the laundry room along with a linen closet loaded with pool towels for your convenience.

There is a side door off the laundry room leading down the heated path to the 600sf yurt. In the heated yurt you will find a pool table, a foosball table and a skee ball machine to make even more family memories!

At the end of the driveway near the creek, there is a large fire pit to gather around in the evenings as well. (Check for county and local fire restrictions) Bring your firewood and s'moors sticks to create memories that last a lifetime.

We booked our stay based on reviews! I must say they were all accurate in providing such high reviews! We had a family gathering of 9 people including ages ranging from 14-72. The spacious retreat gave us plenty of room to enjoy time together as well as have space for some private time. Most of our stay was spent enjoying fun and relaxing time in the pool. The owners were excellent at responding to any questions and providing valuable information for our perfect stay!

A group of 11 old high school and college friends stayed at this place for a reunion and it worked quite well for that purpose. We all like to cook and the kitchen was well equipped to handle large groups. The reason I would give it only 4 stars instead of 5 are that there are a number of minor issues people should be aware of but that said, I might consider staying there again. There are 5 bedrooms and a couch and one bedroom has 2 queens and a twin so in theory the place could accommodate 15 guests and depending on your party that might work but with some caveats. We were a party of 5 couples and me, a single male. I did not think it appropriate for me to stay in the room with multiple beds so that left the couch for me. Knowing how uncomfortable the beds are in pullout couches, I asked one of my friends to bring a sleeping pad and bag in case the couch was too uncomfortable and it was. The mattress is very thin and you can feel the steel bars underneath but since I was prepared, I just slept on the floor and that worked fine for me. So depending on who is in your party, the place might max out at 10 people or possibly up to the full 15 listed. Next, the hot water for the house comes from a geothermal source and is hot, very hot. So hot that you need to be careful not to get scalded, particularly in the large downstairs shower where it is somewhat of a challenge to adjust the temperature. Finally, the yurt had a very musty smell so we chose not to use the games in it.

I've stayed at this property 3 different times now and it just gets better each time. The first time there were different owners and the cleanliness/upkeep was lacking...but the property is so unique it was worth another stay. The second time it was much cleaner! I discovered it had recently been sold. This third time I brought my husband and 4 other couples (always been a girls trip before). The place was amazing! So clean, lots of new items, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen including large pots, pans and bowls for large groups to cook. Lots of towels for the pool and baths. The large living rooms, game room, deck and pool provide so much space for everyone to spread out and relax where ever they want. The owners are very responsive with anything that may come up. We're looking forward to booking again soon!!

Pool temperature was great. Perfect size for all of us to get together. The pull out couch in the lower front bedroom was broke. When we pulled it out the support in the middle was missing and the cushion hit the floor.
