Location is great and very calm, isolated from the city’s noise yet still at 10mn walk The 4-beds room was well-sized and comfortable

We had a terrible and frightening encounter with a member of the staff (Pietro). We first met him at 11am in the morning - he was totally wasted, could barely talk and acted aggressively. First, he cheered us with a hammer in the hand which was quite concerning given his absolute drunkenness. Then, while we were paying at the counter - with another very friendly and professional staff member - he came back to us, arguing that we did not understand their pricing, acting violent verbally and threatening us. This put us in a very uncomfortable situation in which we clearly felt in danger. Gradually noticing his behavior was unacceptable (with the help of his coworker who was btw very ashamed by the situation with her hands shaking), he ended up buying us a beer.

Sympa et bon rapport qualité prix.

Accueil sympa, prix raisonnable, chambre spacieuse, bon emplacement.

Chambre donnant directement sur les tables du resto donc ne pas imaginer faire une grasse matinée 😉, sonnette pour les arrivées tardives ou matinales très bruyante (chambre familiale no 3).

Terrible rude staff and disrespectful to costomers

It was a nice central location

When we first tried to check in they wouldn’t honor our booking price finally after 30 of ignoring us and calling all there managers they finally honored the price but with a horrible Attitude. Then they had a party that they didn’t inform us about with loud music and people sitting in our rooms window and blocking our exit door from our room. This music and drunk people banging on our room didn’t end until 6am the following day. This made it impossible to sleep or feel safe in the room.

L’emplacement proche du centre. Les lits confortables et déjeuner abordable.

Chambres bruyantes. Nous avions réservés pour un dortoir de femmes, mais nous avons été mis dans un dortoir mixte. Concernant le prix, nous avons payés 275Q alors que 225 était indiqués sur Booking.

Nice hostel in Antigua center

The staff was nice and friendly, and the bed was quite comfortable!

I didn't find the place to be very clean (both bathroom and bedding). Loud music was also on for most of the day and staff were really loud early morning just outside of the bedrooms

Pleasant

Nice hostel. The pictures make the hostel look newer than it is. I feel like it was a little expensive for what you get. However, the Argentine Alfajores at the reception desk were AMAZING.

The bathroom was a little run down and old. Didn't really match the pictures

Just one female toilet and shower for the whole backyard rooms It is not possible to cook in the kitchen. Just putting stuff in the fridge but you get already an angry view when you want to enter the kitchen No room/space for lying/sunbathing/yoga on the rooftop because the rooftop is uneven Room really dark and seemed like prison Cleaner entered girls dorm without knocking and I was changing. He did not even apologize. When people lying in the hammock yiu cannot really pass as the tables are so wide.

Very good

Nice quiet location, with a lovely terrace to relax on. The room was clean and comfortable and was a lot more spacious than some other dorms I’ve experienced. friendly and helpful staff!

the WiFi wasn’t too great in the dorm room, but was fine in the common areas. the lockers don’t really accommodate smaller locks so it was a bit tricky to secure my belongings in there.

Lovely place with a nice view

Really liked that place. Relaxed and calm. Short walking distance to everything. Nice terrace with a view of fuego.

You may use the kitchen, but it’s not really a community kitchen.

- free filtered water - nice view - location - the staff is helpful

- the luggage locker was not safe at all because you could open it without the key of the padlock (see picture). And you cannot use your own padlock because the locker is too wide. - you are not allowed to use the kitchen. - the wifi is not good enough to work on your computer. - no keys for the dorms

Hostel at good location and spacious room, but not very comfortable bed and sheets

There is a lot of space in the private room and the hostel is at a good location.

The bed and sheets are not very comfortable and the towels were really old and looked dirty.

Cute place, be aware of Antigua cold

Like the beauty of the terraza view !! Love the curtains in bed Good location a bit of the center but still close to main places Very beautiful

It's my personal sensitivity but to go to the bathroom you have to cross outside, it's mainly why I left haha wasn't ready for antigua cold at night and I need to go to bathroom 2-3 times a night. It's the main reason I haven't extended my stay Hot water not so hot, better take your shower in day light ! Trivial but still, doors need oil it's creaking ><

Watch out for booking issues

There was a problem with my booking apparently it was already full when I booked my 2. nights so they found another hostel for me (cataleya hostel) and offered me breakfast at the tzunun as a compensation. To be honest I thought it was a scam because the other hostel was pretty bad, the bedroom smelled like mold, there was no window except one that was broken and was facing the bar so you could hear the customers as if you were in the same room… also that hostel seemed much cheaper than what I paid at the tzunun, but it didn’t seem to be really working well (very few clients) so Im thinking maybe it’s a way for them to get more customer… I don’t know but in case it happens to you just ask for a refund and find yourself another hostel ! Except that part the workers seem very nice over there at the tzunun

Fine for a few nights

Roof top terrace and garden area with hammocks were nice. Central location and close to everything. Clean rooms and tidy grounds. Airport shuttle was pleasant and efficient.

Challenges checking in with the night staff, they wanted us to leave a passport until the morning. Only after a phone call with management were we given an option to pay in full. Also, tried to over charge us for the previously agreed upon price for the airport shuttle. Staff at the front desk were not very knowledgable about the area. No towels provided unless you physically leave a piece of ID or credit card (no option for cash deposit). Also, no daily cleaning as advertised. We didn't need daily cleanings but the bathroom garbage being emptied would have been nice.
