About this villa rental
Villa Bellissima VI is a destination like no other, combining the beauty and history of Tuscany in a tranquil setting where people from all over the world can gather today and plan for tomorrow.rnrnNestled on a rural hillside in the province of Siena in central Tuscany, Villa Bellissima VI is an 800-year-old farming village located directly on the historic Via Francigena, the medieval pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome. This route specifically connected the monastic stopovers of Monte Oliveto and Sant’Antimo and most likely hosted scores of pilgrims, merchants and adventurers. Through centuries past the Borgo has stood steadfast and strong as a resting and meeting point for travelers. Abandoned by its most recent inhabitants in the 1960s, the Villa has since been revived to create a place where great thinkers and leaders of the next generation can join together to exchange ideas and reset their compasses for the future.rnrnDuring the restoration, wherever possible, the structures were left untouched.
You will have the exclusive use of the property with the Main Villa for up to 18 people in 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.
One can still see the historic wood-burning oven, which is more than 500 years old, and the soft grooves in the brick staircase made by thousands of passing feet. An ancient stone-carved Borghese crest greets visitors outside the dining room, gracing the entryway as it has done for centuries, an indication of prior ownership by the powerful Sienese family.rnrnThe Villa encompasses 22 suites in the manor house and four Tuscan farmhouses, arranged around a central piazza functioning as its own village community. Gathering spaces include a formal dining room and outdoor dining terrace, living room with grand piano and study, screening room, library, bar, conference facility for up to 50, cantina and wine tasting room, a professional teaching kitchen, an interior arcaded courtyard, a piazza, and extensive lawn and garden spaces with various shaded benches and a gazebo.rnrnRecreational facilities in the exclusive vacation rental in Tuscany include a 60’ oval swimming pool, a state of the art fitness center, spa, tennis and basketball court, and bocce court. Individual suites are ample, luxurious, and private, while the public spaces encourage people to draw together for community to form and flourish naturally.rnrnThe cuisine and service available at Villa Bellissima VI uphold the Tuscan traditions of outstanding wine, delicious food and friendly hospitality, which has been cultivated for centuries. Families and friends will find the Villa to be a fantastic vacation destination, within close proximity to both Florence and Rome.rnrnAn extensive breakfast buffet is included in all stays as well as maid service, concierge, wait staff, private chef, general manager and daily cleaning.rn
Villa Bellissima Estate is a combination of Villa Bellissima I-V. There is one main manor house. The manor house includes accommodations for up to eighteen guests in 9 elegant suites. All of the suites have a view and a comfortable sitting area. The master suite has a sauna, steam shower, fireplace, wet bar and third floor loggia as well as a central music system with individual room controls. All suites have an ipod dock and individual heating and air conditioning systems for everyone\'s personal comfort.rnrnrnrnIn Villa Bellissima I the main staircase connecting the front entrance to the first floor gathering spaces is one of the oldest parts of the house. For hundreds of years, a steady stream of traffic has shaped grooves in the red bricks of the historic steps. At the top of the staircase, a stone-carved Borghese crest greets visitors as they enter the formal dining room, emphasizing the high origins of the manor house. The space inside is painted in formal Sienese style, from cues left on the wall prior to the restoration. Large, banquet style tables with fabulously intricate wooden inlay adjust to multiple configurations for approximately forty-four guests or fewer and will be tailored specifically to your group.rnrnTo the right is the family dining room, an elegant but cozy space thanks to the interesting architectural feature of a cove ceiling. This beautiful highly detailed space is wonderful for more intimate gatherings and promotes comfortable conversation among small groups of up to ten.rnrn. . . . . .rnrnOutside two sets of French doors from the dining room is the dining terrace, which seats an additional twenty to thirty guests. The space offers shade in the morning for a pleasant breakfast, as well as the perfect sunset view and lantern-lit ambiance in the evenings.rnrnNext to the dining rooms is the kitchen complex. The estates state-of-the-art teaching kitchen is designed to prep meals for large groups and accommodate up to fifteen observers for cooking lessons. The attached family kitchen is for the guest\'s convenience. The refrigerator is typically stocked with snacks by Luigi. The oven, range, sink, etc. are at your disposal for preparing your own meals. The rustic table and fireplace make this a cozy place for casual family meals or roasting chestnuts.rnrnThe main floor of the manor house also offers several sitting rooms. The large, elegant living room offers several seating areas around a fireplace and a Yamaha grand piano.rnrn. . . . . .rnrnThe manor house is wired with a central music system with wall controls in individual rooms as well as the greater gathering spaces. It is possible to attach a personal iPod at any of these outlets or to adjust the channel to receive various local radio stations or music from our central cd hub and iPod dock at the bar.rnrn
