This guesthouse, "La Surfin Parrot 2", is located behind the owners' own beautiful home, has a prime location between beautiful Pass-a-Grille beach (
This guest house in historic Pass-A-Grille is located less than two blocks from the beach, behind owners Kim and Lydia's beautiful home. The space is perfectly set up for you throw on your flip flops and completely unwind! Enter into a peaceful and private backyard space, where you will enter your first floor space. Once inside, you have an updated kitchen which is fully stocked to cook a meal, and a comfortable living space. The bedroom includes a comfortable queen bed, and just outside the bedroom is a large closet and a bathroom with a stall shower. Right outside of the guest house, is a laundry and storage room with a washer and dryer for your use, beach chairs, a beach cart, beach umbrella - Everything you need and more!

Guests have full and private access to this unit of the guest house (there are two units with separate outdoor entrances). Guests also have access to a storage/laundry room with beach equipment, which is shared with the other guest house.

Pass-A-Grille is quiet and charming, known for its beautiful white sand beaches and historic downtown area. Within walking (or biking) distance is 8th Ave with its beachy boutiques and upscale restaurants, many casual dining & seafood options, and most notably the beach! The streets are quiet and safe, offering guests the opportunity to experience the island lifestyle!
- No smoking inside the cottage, though you may smoke outside
- It is asked that you are respectful of owners, nearby neighbors, and other cottage guests by being reasonably quiet from 10pm-8am
- No parties or loud music
- Linens are provided, as well as a starting supply of essentials such as toilet paper and paper towels. Additional supply must be purchased by guests.
-Cleaners will clean the unit upon checkout, however we as that guests do the dishes and take out the trash before leaving, this prevents unwanted pests and odors.
- Guests are responsible for removing all personal belongings upon check-out. We cannot be held liable for any items left behind.
- Pet fee ($100) and advance notice are required if bringing a dog or other pet. Pets must be friendly and get along with other animals, on leash when outside, cannot do damage to condo or furnishings and it is expected that you will pick up your pets waste.

We have been staying on Pass-A-Grille for almost 10 years now. We have stayed at many hotels, condos, and VRBO. Location was perfect. We enjoyed the outdoor dining space. We did miss a good view of the water, but It didn't take more than a few minutes to get to the beach. The one thing we did appreciate was the kitchen. It was well stocked with hand towels, dish towels, blender, coffee maker, soap, paper towels, and more! And they provided beach chairs and beach towels. Very nice place.

The perfect stay for us and our dogs during a trip for the Thanksgiving holiday. As a former local, this is in the perfect location to walk to the beach and shops on the island. The cottage is as described in photos and even bigger than the pictures let on. Was very clean and stocked with essential supplies, and parking was a little narrow just getting in and out but got our Jeep in and out just fine. Would absolutely stay again!

Was not able to stay as got sick. Property was not described properly. Pic show sand in front leaving you to think on beach. Actually on an alley. Sure it was nice inside but couldn’t go. My daughter went and saw location

Just what a couple or small family needs. It was clean, cozy, and it had the basics. The parking space is tight, though. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

This place is better than the pictures suggest! Such a cute little back yard area for the dog, or for storing all the sandy beach stuff. The inside is bigger than the pictures make it seem as well, plenty of room for making meals, or just hanging out. Super close to everything, walk to breakfast, dinner, the bar, anything you want! The Pass-a-Grille area is the perfect little beach town, just far enough away to be quiet, but close enough to bigger cities/beaches if you prefer. Will definitely be coming back to this place when we visit again! :)

This is a must-stay. Our place was beautiful and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed, and close to everything. Only 1 block (an easy walk) to the beautiful white sand blue water at St Pete Beach. The Property Manager was so helpful. We definitely recommend this great place!

Fantastic place. Even better than the description. Perfect for a couple with a couple of little dogs. Own private courtyard, beautiful, modern, clean ...with designated parking spot...and steps the beach, a dog park and restaurants. The place even has plenty of WORKING beach gear ...including a wagon,umbrella(s) plenty of beach chairs, toys, a cooler, floaty things...you name it. There are also 4 bikes ( and 2 helmets)...and a kayak for guest use. Pass- a-Grille is just charming too...soft sand beaches and beautiful clear turquoise gulf water. Per my husband, his favorite beach so far...and we've been to many ! Per Andy, ' rom-com' perfect ! Our advice, book it now !

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The only thing that was a little bit confusing was that the units/doors are not numbered, so we had difficulty figuring out which one we would be staying in at first. It’s such a short walk to the beach and shops, has great amenities, and was perfect for our short stay!

This little cottage had everything we needed for a getaway from the cold in OH. It also has a private little patio area. Best of all it was dog friendly! It was nice to have a kitchen equipped with everything we needed to make meals. We walked everywhere in the area with our dog, a med border collie. The dog beach was a bit small but there is a great dog beach out on Ft DeSoto, about 5 miles away. There is a great neighborhood store within walking distance as well, that has many home-made options for dinners as well as having deli meats etc. We really enjoyed our stay here. The managers were available when we had questions about entry into the cottage, easily solved. They followed up to be sure everything was ok. We would definitely recommend and will most likely be back again! Oh, the bed was so comfortable! I'm looking to replace our mattress here at home with this same mattress! Thank you again for an enjoyable vacation!

This was a perfect spot for a couple vacationing with dogs - very clean, well stocked and an excellent location. “Pet turf” in a private courtyard made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you Kristin and hosts.

Small 1 bdrm apt was simple, basic, and fine for a couple and our two dogs who wanted to explore St.Pete beach and St Petersburg for a few days. Would stay again if weather cooperated, so we could walk a block to the lovely beach- it was chilly this trip. 20 min to Fort Desoto off leash dog beach. 15-20 min to downtown St Petersburg. Next time would like to enjoy Pass-a-Grille bars and restaurants, they all looked good. Quiet neighbourhood Thanksgiving weekend.

Great to get away!

Loved St. Pete's Beach and the cottage. Convenient location and we walked everywhere. We liked that Pass - A - Grill is not so commercial - lovely neighborhood. We would absolutely reserve the cottage again.
