About this house rental
Beautiful and quiet 3 bedroom 2 bath home that comfortably sleeps 6, and is located less than 5 minutes from Yellowstone Park! Also, it’s a short walk from the property to access Gardiner’s downtown restaurants and shops! The property offers a perfect combination for guests; a quiet location away from the summer crowds joined with a close proximity to Yellowstone, Gardiner proper, and hiking trails. Wildlife is common in the area and neighborhood, so don't be surprised if you see elk, bison, deer, a fox, or bighorn sheep on or near the property.
The house has a 4 zone mini split AC/heat pump system to help keep a comfortable indoor temperature year round. The living room and each bedroom have their own dedicated AC/Heat pump wall mounted mini split unit. This system allows guests to individually set their desired bedroom and living room temperatures. Relax and sleep in comfort all year long! On those extra cold winter nights, there is a kitchen heater, along with baseboard heaters in the living room and bedrooms to provide extra warmth if needed.
Luxury vinyl plank flooring installed throughout the main level of the house. The house has a fully stocked kitchen including an electric range/oven, coffee maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Downstairs there is a washer and dryer for guests, along with a card table, tv, and dvd player.
After a long day in the park viewing wildlife or hiking, relax in the sauna or hot tub under the stars. Large backyard patio with chairs, table, fire pit, picnic bench, and bbq to help relax and enjoy the outdoors. Space X Starlink satellite WIFI is provided in addition to a living room 65" Samsung smart TV that is connected to a DVD/Blu-ray player.

The property had everything we needed; it was well stocked. The rooms were comfortable with individual A/C and blackout shades. Location was close to town and park entrance and we loved the Elk that visited nearby the house.

Spacious well equipped house with lovely views. Close enough to the amenities in Gardiner but far way enough to be peaceful. The hot tub was an added bonus. Perfect location for Yellowstone with Lamar valley, Mammoth, Canyon village all within easy reach.

Fantabulous home, fantastic stay! Possibly the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Granddaughter (8yrs) cried when it was time to leave and made us promise to bring her back someday. There's no way to adequately describe this wonderful home. Clean, roomy, comfortable, extremely well-appointed, and beautifully decorated are descriptors that just scrape the surface. Attention to every possible detail, nothing overlooked. Took less than five minutes to drive to Yellowstone NP or to the shops and restaurants in Gardiner. Elk grazed in the front yard every morning and evening. We loved using the hot tub and firepit every night after spending the day in Yellowstone. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with our three generations!

Elkhaven is a well kept, well stocked home in a great area close to the north entrance.
Mark was very responsive to any questions we had. The whole rental process was a breeze!!

We visited with our adult children to spend time in Yellowstone. The house is absolutely beautiful and the host was amazing. The house sits within minutes to the Yellowstone entrance, and is walking distance to town. The inside has everything you need to make meals including a grill. We enjoyed using the hot tub and having laundry on site was such a great amenity. I have already told family about the home, and we are planning another trip and would definitely stay there again!

We loved Elk Haven- great location for us- we came to spend time in the Park. Our college age kids joined us and your house gave us the perfect amount of space for everyone to have privacy. We loved the hot tub ( next time we will enjoy the sauna too!) Our son especially loved all the photos- he is a budding photographer! Thanks again - we will be back!

Elk Haven lived up to its name with elk in and around the house daily. If you sleep with the windows open you’ll be serenaded by bull elk bugles. Close to Yellowstone, you’ll have a great base camp for your vacation.

We have stayed in a lot of VRBO homes and this was the very best. It was just as described and was literally, home away from home. The little town of Gardiner had everything we needed. The north entrance to Yellowstone National Park and all of its wonder and beauty was less than 5 minutes away! This was our best vacation ever! Thank you!!

It’s exactly how it is described. Had everything we needed for our group of 6 older adults who were visiting Yellowstone. We highly recommend it, super clean. Saw wildlife almost everyday out the window, mostly elk. Owners responded right away to emails with questions. Was convenient to the park entrance.

A perfect location for taking day trips into Yellowstone. It’s very close to the park entrance. The house was clean and had everything we needed and almost every night when we saw elk in the yard or across the street, including the babies.

Elk Haven was the perfect place for our family visit to Yellowstone (two grandparents, adult son, grandkids 9 and 5). Why? First, the location in Gardiner, which is right at the doorstep of the Park and only 10 minutes from Mammoth. We saw lots of wildlife along the Tower-Roosevelt and Lamar Valley Roads and also did some great hikes in those areas (Trout Lake, Yellowstone Picnic Area and River Trail). Second, the house is a gem. It’s cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot tub and sauna after a rainy hike. The owner Mark’s wildlife photos on the walls are stunning. Our grandkids loved watching the elk in the yard and studying their poop as part of the Junior Ranger program. Third, Mark was like a host in absentia. He checked in with us to see if we needed anything and always responded quickly to any questions. My family and I can’t recommend this house and its location highly enough. A couple of notes: The Wifi worked perfectly. If you’re planning to hike and need bear spray, check the house before your buy it. We left two cans, and there were two cans there already. Also, there are two coolers for picnics, which can save both time and money.

The property was fantastic! Group of 6 people, perfect accommodations as advertised. Everything you could want and more. Close to park entrance, restaurants, and market. Far enough away from conveniences that you enjoy the views, sunsets, and animals (birds, bunnies, elk). I would 100% rent this property again in the future.

We had so much fun at Marks property. The elk and mule deer came right up to the property. If you look out the back window you might be able to spot some bighorn sheep on the rocks. The house was so convenient. It’s about a five minute drive into the park and anywhere in town. Would highly recommend staying here. Would stay here again when we take our entire family next.

This house is a great place for a family to stay. From Elk walking right past your window to all the great amenities to little touches that the owner does to make you feel at home. I recommend this place for anyone. The owner is very responsive and goes above and beyond to help you have a great time in Montana.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Gardiner. Loved the hot tub and sauna which we used alot! the kitchen was fully stocked. We did enjoy our daily visit of elk in the front yard!

Trapped in vacation
We happened to be on vacation when the roads were washed out and we were trapped in Gardiner. The property managers were absolutely amazing and even brought us bottled water (the water main broke so water wasn’t safe) and helped us with our car rental as we took a helicopter out. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them! It was an unprecedented emergency situation and they really stepped up to make us comfortable and safe.
The house itself was clean and full of gorgeous scenic pictures. Had everything we needed for our vacation including games for the kids, maps, and a welcome package. A herd of elk to refuge from the flooding in the field next door which was amazing to watch. The location to the park and town was amazing. We will definitely stay here again despite having to be evacuated from flooding haha

Amazing stay at Elk Haven House
We had a great 4 night stay at Elk Haven House. We loved seeing the elk on the field next door. Kids enjoyed all of the games in the home, and the hot tub and firepit were wonderful. Felt like home coming back to this wonderful property after our adventures at Yellowstone each day. We had a great meal at Wonderland Cafe, pizza from Outlaws, and tacos from Mountain Tacos. Highly recommend this location for your Yellowstone trip.

Wonderful Property, Limited T.V. /Wifi
We loved this property! It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed both the hot tub and sauna. The elk and deer were fun to watch! The owners provide a nice selection of DVDs and games, and we liked being able to wash our clothes while we stayed there. The one drawback was that the wi-fi did not allow us to watch much on the T.V. It kept buffering and stalling, even when watching live T.V. stations. The owner did what he could to help us rectify this, but if you are a T.V. watcher, be aware that this may not be the best situation. We enjoyed watching DVDs instead! :)

This was the best staycation ever. It's like winter wonderland. The house is neat and has everything that is required in extreme winter. It is nearby the north entrance of the Yellowstone national park.
