We loved having a washer/dryer, refrigerator & airconditioning. Very relaxing. Centrally located. Great communication from property manager. Thank You

This elevator accessible apartment is within a block of a Tram stop with amazing views of the river. Several grocery and bakery options are available nearby. We met our host's colleague at the appointed time and she gave us an orientation tour of the apartment. The apartment was clean and had all the things we would need. (The use one, replace one wine sharing station was a nice addition) Please note that my 6 foot 2 inch tall husband did have to guard his head in some parts of the apartment, but we left with no injuries.

We had a great stay from 11-18 September. Super apartment multiple air conditioning units much appreciated. Location close to Port du Burgoyne Tram stop. Ideal for exploring Bordeaux by tram or river taxi (Bat). WiFi issues and lighting in the shower room sorted promptly. 100 steps to the 4th floor but the lift is available for luggage. We really enjoyed our stay with so many fantastic places to each at lunch and in the evening. The local bakery is also brilliant and only 5 minutes walk away. We hope to be back in Bordeaux soon!
Many thanks for the memories and the breakfast balcony, what a winner!

We loved a number of things about the property - it's central location, layout, balcony, and it contained everything we needed for our stay. The area is 'edgy', and some unpleasant characters in the area, but none of that affected our stay and is not the fault of the property, every city is the same !

This apartment is in a nice location, being right on the river, and the terrace offers lovely views over Porte Bourgogne.
There is a lift to the fourth floor location of this apartment, which was very handy, and the apartment was clean.
There is a good parking station about 200 m from the apartment, which is very handy if you have a car.
The apartment is of a good size but probably better suited for just two adults or two adults with young children.
The master bed was comfortable and the furnishings and fittings are rather eclectic, but not high end, however they are adequate.
Communication with the host was easy and the check in and check out process was easy as well.

This property was all that it is described online. We really liked that it worked well for 3 people, and it was well located with easy access to transportation. The owner was great in her communications, and we had no issues with the property other than the coffee maker wasn't working well, maybe it needed descaling. We told the property manager and she said she would attend to it. But it was not working at all during our visit. This apartment is very well equipped for those wishing to prepare their own food.
This apartment being on 4th floor would not be accessible for those with any major disability due too many stairs and small elevator. We were not impacted this way, but those who are disabled should not stay here. While the area is overall good, at night there were some people around that made me feel uncomfortable by their behaviour. The side street where the entrance is on is not extremely well lit at night. I am glad I was not there as a lone woman traveler.
Bordeaux is a very changed city since my last visit over 25 years ago, and while it isn't crime ridden by any means, there seems to be a lot of people who seem transient. My friend who is from Bordeaux and stayed with us while we visited told us that we need to take care with our bags. I guess like a large European cities pickpockets can be anywhere. Bordeaux is a great city with much to offer, and with many day trips in the region as well , it truly is a jewel of a city don't hesitate to go there and enjoy all.

Apartment well maintained. Very accommodating and helpful property managers. The view from the terrace is outstanding. The terrace itself is well set up for dining and relaxing among a variety of plants. Proximity to the tram made getting to the airport and the train station a breeze - no transfers needed. One issue was handled quickly by the property managers and the owner.

We had an enjoyable stay at Bordeaux Terrace. It was an easy walk into the City Center as well as to the local parking garage for trips outside the city. The apartment was well cared for, however, the neighborhood was dirty; lots of trash and broken bottles every day. We tended to avoid St Michel square and instead walk into the “old” city. Overall, a good stay. Charlotte was very helpful upon check in and check out was easy and flexible.

This is a unique property with a great deck. It is on the 4th floor that is a lot more than 4 regular floors. It has an uneven stone circular staircase. If you have very heavy bags or aren't in pretty good shape be careful here. The owner gave us credit for the lift not working voluntarily but if you are not in decent shape, staying here could be a big problem if that lift isn't working.
Enough about the lift. There are restaurants and grocery stores very close. Right near the tram line. The apartment has a very loft type feel with ancient wood beams dominating the space and a great view. It is quiet at night, windows can be left open. They all have screens. Very well equipped, clothes washer was great.

Great central location with lots of things to do. Small kitchen, but it had what we needed to make a few dinners and breakfasts during our stay. The neighbors were mostly quiet during our 3 week stay until our last night.

The property was lovely and Charlotte was very helpful. It is off a bit from where the center of town is and I would stay up near the Tourism Office if I were to go again! Please update the information to reflect the shopping offered in that area as well.

Overall, we were very disappointed in the apartment. The property was run down and had a musty smell. We were not comfortable in the area and did not feel it was safe. The key to the trash room did not work. The view from the balcony was nice and the apartment was spacious enough for us. If it were in a nicer area and was in better condition, it would have been fine.

Superbe property with spectacular views. Close to everything you need.
The manager Charlotte made our stay even better. She was extremely helpful and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants.
The only annoyance is the little water pressure when taking a shower, which we were warned about, but this would not stop us from renting this amazing place again.
Thank you Charlotte for all your help.

The apartment is well located, the tram stop is very close making it easy to explore the city. We appreciated that it was very clean and well furnished, and communicating with the property manager was seamless. The balcony is even larger than pictured, we enjoyed it and the view day and night, and having an elevator was priceless. Thank you!

This was a fantastic apartment. We loved the fact that it was always cool when we came back after a long hot day - having mosquito screens & being able to leave the terrace door open was great. And the lift of course too! The apartment was really comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The bed was huge and very comfy too. We loved sitting out on the terrace every evening. The only slight downside was that the area was a bit scruffy and noisy at night, with lots of young lads hanging about, although we never felt threatened or unsafe. Other than that the location was excellent for sight seeing and getting about.

All in all we had a great time at Bordeaux Terrace. Everything posted on their add and all pictures were spot on. The location was perfect. Had we really paid attention, we would have taken the tram from Gare St. Jean station directly to the apartment. It was like, 3 stops away and a Tram station is literally feet from the apartment. One small glitch was that we had no hot water for the first couple of days. It didn’t ruin our trip though! The problem was rectified upon notifying the property manager who escorted a plumber over to fix the issue. I highly recommend this property. Btw, Charlotte….the property manager, was a gem to work with.

This apartment in Bordeaux has fabulous views from the front windows and balcony. Amazing when at night and all the lights on the bridge come on. It is located a perfect distance from all the must see areas in Bordeaux. Fabulous shopping around the Rue Sainte-Catherine area. There is no shortage of places to eat nearby and there is a great buzz about the place especially in the evenings. The beds were extremely comfortable and good quality bedlinen was used. Slept very well at night as the bedrooms are located away from much of the street noise. In fact some mornings found it hard to get out of bed! We have stayed in dozens of places in France but this is the first that has had insect screens at windows and doors which means no mosquito chasing. I wish more places had this feature. A great Bluetooth speaker and the heating works really well for the cooler months. Nice shower and always plenty of hot water. A couple of issues. Wi-Fi and T.V. stopped working two days in. The agency tried to rectify this and said they may have been able to sort out some temporary Wi-Fi connection but as much as we needed the Wi-Fi for travel information we decided to make do till we left. The only toilet is in the entrance hall right next to the sitting area and kitchen so not much privacy. Either cough loudly or wait till everyone is on the balcony admiring the views! Also, as there is no hand basin in the toilet perhaps some hand sanitizer could be provided in there. Lastly, a well equipped kitchen but a new kettle is needed. It had peeling lime scale and no filter on the spout so had to heat water in a pan. I have to be honest with my review and admit we found the apartment felt a little tired in places. Whoever is cleaning the apartment could do better. Some things had to be wiped or rewashed before use. Other than those rectifiable Issues we loved Bordeaux and you can’t fault this apartment for location, views and comfortable beds.

We had a fabulous week in this apartment over Christmas. It was warm, comfortable and a great view of the protests, which we able to see from the safety of our balcony.
The market which we visited on the Saturday before Christmas was very busy, but one of the best I have ever seen.
It is very easy to get around, mainly by foot but an easy tram system stops very close by.
I would definitely love to go again and recommend it for anyone wishing to visit Bordeaux.

Everything was as advertised. Great communication and perfect arrival and departure by local staff. The entire apartment is very comfortable, but the terrace makes all the difference. Coffee in the morning and wine in the evening overlooking the arc and river, you can't beat that in Bordeaux!
The tram is very close to get you everywhere you need, shopping, site seeing, train station and even to the soccer stadium. The local bakery is awesome plus a local grocery and wine shop. The parking is easy too. All you need for a great stay in Bordeaux. Thanks Suzanna!

We had a very nice week in the Bordeaux Terrace from which we enjoyed exploring the many facets of the city. We were welcomed by Charlotte who showed us round the apartment and gave us some helpful advice about the area. The accommodation is nicely furnished and well-equipped and has a spectacular view of the arch at the Porte de Bourgogne and the Pont de Pierre. Sadly, the weather was not good enough for us to enjoy the roof terrace (it was middle March) but we could appreciate that this would be a great asset in the summer months. Fortunately for us oldies, the building has a lift (albeit a small one) as it is a long haul up the stairs to the apartment. Younger and fitter people would probably enjoy the exercise! The tram stop is just a short distance away and, once wed worked out the system, we were able to travel comfortably and cheaply to various parts of the city. There are bars and restaurants aplenty, some nearby, others a short walk or tramride away. Our departure was overseen by Fleur and was easy and uncomplicated. It was an altogether enjoyable week.

Great place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It's always fun to see the quirks in such old buildings. The patio was great, the place was clean & had everything we needed and Charlotte was very helpful. We appreciated being able to do laundry (drying rack & soap provided). The location was very convenient to the parking and tram (note: kiosk doesn't accept US chip & sign credit cards). The neighborhood is a little more ethnically diverse than some areas in Bordeaux but we enjoyed that as well. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time in Bordeaux. The tram system is so well laid out we used it several times. Being so close to the river was fun. There are many small shops for meat, produce and bakeries. There are restaurants everywhere to enjoy and the kitchen in the apartment is very well equipped. The size of the bedrooms were good. Although a little odd the WC was in the entry and the shower and sink were next to the bedrooms. I suppose if there was more than just a couple like we were it would make it easier to have just one bathroom. The apartment is on a top floor but the elevator makes that not an issue. We loved it and our hosts were great. The owner Suzanna was very responsive and Charlotte the property manager was great. We only had a question or two after settling in and Charlotte was awesome. She also arranged for a taxi to take us to the train station when left. Thank you! We really had a great stay.

Beautiful Bordeaux
We couldn't have been happier with the location. Right In the heart of the old town and minutes away from the centre, the quayside promenade and the bustling St Michel square. Full of colour and life the sqaure offers one of the best boulangeries in Bordeaux along with cafes, salons du the and restaurants. The best of which is the Brasserie next to a very quirky antique store full of tempting goodies if you have the room to take them home. Only a few minutes walk is the Marche Capucins which overflows with great butchers, bakers, small restaurants and fruiterers - open everyday except Monday. The local sqaure also houses a market each day, sometimes, a flea market, other times second hand clothes and a food market each Saturday. The apartment was well equiped with pots, pans and serving dishes to avail anyone who likes to cook up a storm. The terrace is a total bonus, overlooking the Large a port de Borgoyne which leads onto the bridge taking one to the other side of the Garonne river.
Bordeaux centre is elegant, full of good shopping and restaurants. A must to buy is Le weekend Bordeaux by Anne who has a terrific food, wine and travel blog, papilles et pupilles - worth seeking out and full of great addresses for the best ice cream shops, patisseries, spice shops et el. Written in French it is easy to navigate if you understand a little French.
Would I stay at Bordeaux Terrace again? - absolutely. It's a quiet haven in a very buzzy and Bobo part of the city. Bonus is the lift up to the top floor of this ancient building or beautiful winding stairs for the young and fit. A perfect rental in a perfect city.

Spent a week here and loved it. Fourth floor, but we never used stairs as small elevator available. Two bedrooms but we only needed the one. Well stocked (soap, laundry detergent, kitchen stuff), spacious and a great terrace with a great view. Updated plumbing and good cross-ventilation. Absolutely great location - it didn't look like it when we first arrived, but it really is a great location, near everything and safe. Garage is just around the corner and parking was 50 euros for the week. Minutes walks from museums, opera house, St. Katherine St, etc. Loads of good restaurants within 15 minutes walk. Carrefour grocery down the street. Only small suggestions for improvement are a coffee-maker (we used the French-press, but it's more of a production) and we did battle mosquitoes. Charlotte said they are getting screens installed, which must have been a project because no one around seems to have them but it's a great idea. Very quiet location - no noise ever while we were there. Nicely decorated. Although no clothes dryer, the spin on the washer worked great and stuff dried quickly on the rack. If we come back to Bordeaux we would stay there again, no question. Very well managed and responsive.

A small group of us were traveling to France and Spain and spent three days at the Bordeaux Terrace. It was a fantastic home base for us as we toured the city close to public transportation and shops and dining. We enjoyed getting to know the city and then heading back to the lovely accommodations. Suzanne and Charlotte were wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend this property!

The nightly dilemma
The seven days of nice weather we had were offset by the dilemma faced every night when we had to choose to be either be very warm in bed or cool and be bitten by mosquitos, the choice was ours. This very nice apartment has windows on 3 sides, perfect for cross ventilation on cool evenings. The only drawback is that none of the windows have screens and so to open them to try to cool the top floor apartment that has baked in the sun just invites in the skeeters. So make the choice sleep to the roar of fans or be cool and be a blood donor.
We come from Canada where mosquitos carry West Nile encephalitis and so for us the choice was easy, we took the 8 hours of sweating option. Spoiled an otherwise nice vacation.
The apartment is as nice as the photos show, with the exception of the terrace, it’s better and bigger than it looks. (approx 6’ x 20’). It was as the owner says ‘newly renovated’ but that was several years ago. A can of white paint and a couple of hours work would really make the place sparkle again and it would be good value for the money. Now it just looks a little tired.
Florence was there as promised and provided a wonderful introduction to the apartment and her city. She invited us to call her at any time with problems or questions. We took advantage and she was very helpful on several occasions. Good ambassador for the owner.
The big question she could not answer - why don’t the windows have screens?

Very good!
The location is great, right in city centre, walking distance to main old pedestrian area, supermarket 5mins walk away and a tram stop virtually opposite.
The flat itself is also comfortable, good kitchen facilities and the terrace is awesome.
Couple of minor points, my family and I were bitten pretty badly by mosquitoes on the first night not realising this would be a problem which made the rest of our stay a bit uncomfortable! It may therefore be a good idea to warn people on email prior to arrival that this might be the case at certain times of the year sop they can buy some spray. Also the plug in mosquito deterrents in the flat I believe did not work or at least were not hugely effective.
The toilet room seemed a bit out of keeping with the rest of the flat (eccentric is probably how I would describe it!) but aside from that it was a great flat for our purposes of exploring the city, a little home away from home, with the roof terrace overlooking the bridge being fantastic.
Would definitely visit again although would wear mosquito spray from the first night!
Thanks,
George

We enjoyed our stay at the Bordeaux Terrace which is centrally located with easy accessibility to restaurants and shopping by walking. The parking was not a problem for us. The roof top terrace was very nice for relaxing with a glass of wine and nibbling on cheese after a day of seeing the sights. We also took the open top bus through town which is worth while for resting your feet. All the rooms were roomy, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice and it worked very well to have a separate toilet room. Charlotte was very informative and helpful. She met our needs. We would recommend this apartment. The elevator was nice, too, for transporting our luggage.
6.0 / 10.0
The location of this unit was ok as we were able to walk to all of the touristy sights. Were lots of restaurants nearby & a few grocery stores. However the photos are a little overstated & I question newly renovated! There is only 1 toilet and it is separated from the main bathroom which has no toilet. There is no sink for use in the room with the toilet so then you had to go back to the main bath to wash up. The toilet room is interesting. The main bath was very modern, however, we had to leave the 'curtains' closed in one of the bedrooms as a window looked directly into the main bathroom. The lovely spiral staircase was not that lovely and the elevator held barely 2 people. The bedrooms are just OK - The parking garage was very safe but expensive at 15E per day not 12. Would we stay here again?? No I don't think so! We were two couples and were disappointed as we had just stayed in 3 other VRBO locations which were much nicer for the same price.

Hi Suzanne,
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Bordeaux Terrace. Your beautiful apartment was a perfect location for us. We loved the Roof Top Terrace, where we sipped wine, broke bread & ate French cheeses. All the while taking in the spectacular views of the ancient Roman wall & the Pont de Pierre over la Garonne River.
We rented a car, for which the parking & roadways in & out of the city couldn't have been more convenient. The Tramway was literally outside our door........ which was great !!
We loved the many historical sites, fountains, markets, restaurants & shopping in the city of Bordeaux.
Charlotte provided a good initial overview & was very responsive to the electrical issue. We found the guest guide book very helpful for the stove, washer, internet, TV, markets & restaurants. We very much enjoyed your wine sharing system. Great Idea !! We took advantage of it shortly upon our arrival after traveling by train from Paris. :) :)
We also enjoyed several day trips into Medoc, St. Emillion, Librourne, Creon, Rauzan, Arcachon (delicious fresh oysters & oyster museum) & several other small towns & castles south of the city.
Our visit to Chateau Smith Haute Lafitte was delightful, the resident Doves displayed their afternoon unified flight around the Chateau. That was quite a nice finale to our visit.
At the end of each wonderful day we felt fortunate to return back to the comforts of Bordeaux Terrace.
We "Thank You" for sharing this very special place.
My Very Best Regards to you & Sandy,
~ Linda
