We attended a wedding nearby and needed a close place to stay. We were very pleased with The Ranch. T and Victoria really do make you feel so special.
Here's why we loved our stay
- Upon entering, there is a welcome sign with your name on it. Personal touches seem like a thing of the past, and this was a very kind gesture.
- Complimentary bottle of wine? Count me in! This wasn't just a "free bottle of wine." This was another kind gesture and a way of saying "relax while you're here!"
- Cleanliness was top notch and amenities seemed new and in great shape.
- It's all in the details. Decor was nice. You can tell they put a lot of effort into the look and feel of the property.
- Speaking of effort, the "before and after" photo album was amazing. Awesome to see the renovations and the beautiful talent and hard work they put into this place.
- Neighbors are friendly and we felt safe. The town of Gordonsville is a short walk and has many boutiques, cafes/ restaurants, etc.
Good to know before arrival
- There is a picnic table and bench swing in backyard, which we enjoyed. The picnic table area can get really hot and the swing bench is in more of a shady area, There are no patio chairs. We love to be outside and should have brought our own lawn chairs to sit in the shady spots.
- Bring bug spray!
- Kitchen and game room table are not very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a larger table with backs on our chairs, especially for the older people.

Our family enjoyed our 1 night stay. Cozy house layout and comfy beds. We spent some time in the backyard also. Peaceful and quiet area. We also were able to visit the local brewery which was family friendly. Great communication with the owners too!

The ranch was clean. Conveniently located to Charlottesville, drove to Monticello without getting on the highway. Enough to do around the town, we really enjoyed our stay!

Our stay at this property was nothing short of amazing. It is beautiful in and out. The host went overboard decorating and finishing this home perfectly. The beds were very comfy, and everything else just begged us to relax and enjoy. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, very close to some of the best vineyards we’ve ever visited in Virginia and also American historical attractions. This will go down in our memories as one of the best vacations we’ve ever had.

We were unfortunately in town for an end-of-life situation. So comforting to have a clean and comfortable place to stay with so much else on our mind. The house is very clean and comfortable and perfect for our family and our two small dogs. Very welcoming. Beautifully decorated. The neighborhood felt safe and parking was plentiful.

The property is just lovely - the owners made wonderful choices with layout, finishes and decor and take great care of the property. It is clean, comfortable and charming. We appreciated all of the little touches like snacks, dog food bowls/bed, games, etc. They are very responsive and easy to communicate with. Went for UVA football game. Charlottesville was only 20 minutes or so away but area was nice and quiet. Plenty of places close to eat. Beds were nice and comfortable. Would not hesitate staying there again if we go back to the area. Also a lot of wineries within an hour drive.

The house was beautiful with all the special welcoming touches even for our dogs. The beds were very comfortable after our long days. The large shade tree with a swing underneath is very relaxing. We really love our stay and felt right at home. The check in and out was seamless. I whole heartly recommend this house.

The Ranch was amazing! It was hands down the cleanest and nicest property any of us had stayed in. Victoria was so responsive to any questions we had, and the check in and check out instructions were so thorough. She has everything you could need stocked for you & was always available to us. Victoria and T are fantastic hosts! From the moment we made the reservation until after check out the communication was prompt, complete, and super friendly! They have beautifully redone their ranch home and it has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable experience. Clean, modern, and with so much attention to the smallest details that make your stay that much more pleasant. Our kids and our dog enjoyed the huge yard. Beds were all very clean and comfortable. The place was immaculately maintained and stocked with water, snacks, and a complimentary bottle of wine. Great location in a quiet little village. We walked to great places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Fantastic stay
This property was great! The inside was beautiful and provided all the necessities and more. Victoria communicated all the information well in advance of our stay. This property was fantastic for four adults and two teenagers. The surrounding businesses were friendly and provided good service. Overall we highly recommend this property.

This property met our needs very well. The house is very nice and well-maintained. It is so comfortable, welcoming, clean, and well-stocked. The yard and neighborhood are great. Victoria, the host, is a very good communicator and available. She got back to me promptly when I had a question about my booking. Overall, I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect stay at The Ranch
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ranch. Victoria's house was a perfect place for us when we went to a family wedding in the area. It was very clean, very quiet, and perfectly located for access to great restaurants.
The Ranch was perfect for us. It has been completely renovated and shows the care that Victoria & T have put into it. They even have a photo album there showing their efforts. As someone who has done home renovations I need to say "Great Job!!!" to them. The care that they show doesn't end with the renovations. Victoria has stocked The Ranch with supplies like coffee and a bottle of wine to make the stay effortless.
Our stay was so much better than staying in a hotel. It really offered a very "home like" experience for us.

Beautiful Home, Great Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green Springs home and Victoria was super responsive to all of our questions. Victoria had the house well stocked and it had everything we needed. Location was central. It is a pet friendly home so expect to see some pet hair although nothing that was a nuisance.

Adorable house-great location!
The house is newly renovated and is decorated tastefully. It is also well stocked with necessities. The neighborhood is quiet and super close to downtown Gordonsville, which is a cute town with good restaurants and shopping. The house is also very close to many local attractions and wineries! The Ranch @ Gordonsville VA
We were planning a trip to Charlottesville and rented The Ranch in nearby Gordonsville, VA. Ended up spending most of our trip within a few miles of the house. Fun little main street and some good food and beer nearby. The house was very nice, clearly recently renovated and very clean and welcoming. Had every comfort of home, even nice friendly neighbors.
Would recommend Champion Ice House and a trip to Patch Brewery for some beer and outdoor fun. Got coffee every morning at East of Maui. Charlottesville was only about 20-25 minutes away and did get there for a day trip. Will probably come back again in warmer weather to take advantage of the wineries and outdoor activities and look to stay again at The Ranch. Thanks for a great vacation.

Awesome Property
From the time we opened the door, we felt invited. It only got better as we started to settle in. Victoria had snacks out, waters cold in the fridge, and a complimentary bottle of wine; greatly appreciated after our long drive to get there. We found coloring books for the kids and a personalized welcome message at the bar area…even our pup was welcomed with treats and toys. The property decor was very purposeful, and you can appreciate the effort put into it when you see the renovation journey. We would highly recommend staying here, when you’re in the area.

Wonderful
This house was perfect. It is recently remodeled and was clean, bright, and airy. The host was responsive and very helpful. There was even cold bottled water in the fridge and quick snacks. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe.

Quiet Getaway Close to History and Wineries
We LOVED the Ranch. It was incredibly clean and comfortable, and convenient to Monticello and Montpelier. Those were the two main places we decided to visit, but it was also convenient to so many wineries. We were able to stop by one on our way back from our day time travels. I was sad we had to leave and I fully plan on coming back in the future to enjoy more of the house.

Wonderful for the dogs & family
My friend & her dog, myself, my dog, & my toddler had an amazing stay here. The yard was perfect for the dogs to run around, chase birds, and play in the little rain we had. My friend, toddler, & I walked into town and popped around a few places. The neighborhood was so ideal to wave at the friendly neighbors and walk the dogs. I really loved the location of the house & the size of the yard. The amenities were oh so perfect too! Thank you for a fun stay, can’t wait to come back!

Mountain get away
Could not have asked for an easier and more convenient process. The owners were great! Communication was a breeze, the house was very clean and well stocked. I took my dog and there was even stuff for her at the house. The house is in a nice little town and the drive to Charlottesville was very pleasant. I would very much recommend the stay to anyone.

Kid friendly place in Virginia wine country
We stayed at the ranch for one night on our way to north Carolina. The place was spotless, very honey and super comfortable. Our kids (7, 5, 3) also felt right at home. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay near Lake Anna!
Our group (of 4) had an amazing experience staying at this house! Pet friendly and extremely thoughtful (dog bed/water bowl/etc.). The house was spotless and the location was perfect- not too far from the lake and in a quiet neighborhood. The vrbo property manager was excellent with communication- had clear directions for check in/check out. Made everything stress-free! Absolutely enjoyed the stay and would recommend others looking for a getaway near Lake Anna to book this place! We look forward to coming back in the future!

Great Family Stay
We stopped at the ranch mid-drive on the way home from a family beach vacation, and it was perfect! Everything is so clean, and we loved the homey details! There were dog treats, snacks for the kid, games, a free bottle of wine, and more. It was a great place to gather for one last meal before we split our seperate ways. Wonderfully Remodeled Ranch House - perfect for exploring Central VA wineries and trails
The ranch is beautifully handcrafted and decorated so you feel like you are staying in a model home. The space is well laid out and is perfect for a couple of families. We also had two little kids and they loved the play area.
The town of Gordonsville is old and quaint. We enjoyed our down time there between visiting wineries and Charlottesville. Our favorite place was Market Grelen where we went Blue Berry and Blackberry picking. The BBQ Exchange is a definite must for eating at or bringing it back to the Ranch.
The house is a beautifully decorated place to stay and the hosts are on top of everything with wine, snacks and all the amenities. Great little weekend get away from DC to really see the countryside.
