Great property, fantastic staff and highly motivated supervisors

Nothing special not at the time of check out in the morning - only one staff was at front desk whereas there should be minimum two staff during rush hours

Most enjoyable stay. Breakfast and dinner were superb experience! good location too.

well-designed clean rooms with pleasant decor. Good WI-FI speed. A/C temperature controls work well and so does TV remote. Very friendly staff, Great experience in the dining room. Chef cooked good authentic Kerala cuisine as per our requirements. They engaged with the guests very well. We had good, interesting discussions with many staff who suggested various places to see.

Nothing specific. The property is small . Not much greenery and space for a leisurely morning walk ! Lot of traffic on the road in front.

Ankush at the desk was amazing and helpful. Service with a smile all day . Mahesh in the restaurant was the same and accommodating, service with a smile everyday. Both staff are an asset to the organization.

Good Location, clean rooms. Food needs improvement.

Compared with Vivantas I have stayed elsewhere, this one has quite a poor looking restaurant. Food items were limited.

Ambiance. Larger spread of food. More effectively trained staff.

A great hotel, location and ambience but let down by a minor flaw of hierarchy demands of a staff.

Excellent cleaning staff, chef and staff at the restaurant went head over heels to make our stay comfortable. Reception staff too were very accommodating.

I wanted egg Appam, a traditional delicacy, was refused as told it was not in the menu though plain Appam was. Later I saw the chef cooking egg Appam so I queried and was told it was for the GENERAL MANAGER of the hotel Vivanta. I was not happy about it and said the guest or customer should come first or treated equally.

I ended up moving to another hotel

Their entrance and reception area is very glamorous. I guess that where they spent the money.

1. Cleanliness and I was told it’s new- it’s pretty worn down for a new hotel 2. Rooms are small with tiny windows, it’s suffocating 3. Restaurant has a low ceiling, it feels like you are eating in a dungeon 4. Food is mediocre 5. Pool had murky water and fake grass, no bar or restaurant on roof top 5. When I asked for another room, they said they would but no one called or followed up. At 2:30 they showed me another type of room which was dirty too. Then another but they wanted extra 10000 rupees. So I said no. Then they wanted to charge me for an additional night since it’s been 3 pm. They made me wait 4:30 hours… so very bad customer service.

Pleasant stay, met my needs without any issues

Clean, good breakfast spread and courteous staff.

The check-in staff voluntarily said, that he upgraded one of our booking.com rooms. But when we compared later with the facilities, both were same and nothing upgraded…here I would ask them not to claim or say so considering the client is not always dump

Fun 2 days stay at Vivanta

The hotel had all the amenities, very helpful staff and good breakfast. They also safely returned our misplaced wallet

The location access to the hotel was a problem due to some ongoing construction.

A very enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was good. Good variety of dishes including enough that were freshly cooked ones. The rooms were just right with a great view. For an even better view the rooftop cannot be beat.

11 Days in Trivandrum

The staff were great. Mr Naseem (Duty manager), Sudheer (Ops Manager), Febin(Front Desk) to name a few were very attentive. The staff in ints entirety were very warm and genuinely attempted to help where ever possible.

Staff needs to feel supported. English is not the first language and English spoken in foreign accents can be daunting. Training should be provided to understand foreign accents as well as asking for help. Communication around help through collaboration with colleagues and managers need to be emotionally supported through authentic positive feedback.

Decent stay at a decent price

The hospitality was as you expect from Taj group. The house keeping as well as the attitude of the staff was very pleasing.

Since this is a vivanta brand the rooms as well as other facilities were ergonomically designed to save space. The bar and the gym was very tiny.

We liked the stay overall. I like the hotel and will be back when I get an opportunity. Staffs were great and amazing. The manager was great too.

You stated a preference for rooms to be close together during booking - But what happened was our families were separated. We booked through booking.com (Emirates), but when we went to the hotel, the receptionist did not honor the booking and I was given a different rate. The manager intervened and we were able to get it fixed. The second most unlike event was - our passport photocopies were lying on the top of the printer when I came back to check on the door access key. Passport contains most personal information and those should be protected. Staff should be trained on that.
