Built in 1910, this two-story, 5,000-square-foot home offers plenty of space for a large family gathering and is just a few steps from the beach and the golf course. Inside, you'll find a bright and open, well-equipped, eat-in kitchen with a breakfast counter and coffee bar to make it easy to prepare all your favorite recipes. For meal times, head into the adjacent dining room with gorgeous wood features from floor-to-ceiling, a convenient kitchen pass-through window, and an elegant table for eight. An additional table for six can be found in the library if you need a little extra space. This home also includes two living areas with plenty of comfortable furniture, cable TVs, and, in the main living space, a warming gas fireplace to help set the mood on chilly nights. And for sleeping arrangements, this home offers seven cozy bedrooms including four with queen-size beds and a kid-friendly room with three twin beds and a separate twin bunk.

Its rare to find a 7 bedroom house. It worked great for our group of 12 adults. Tons of space, big kitchen, close enough to beach (but not ocean front). I highly recommend this house for big groups. A few things to consider are that the twin beds were not comfortable, but would probably be fine for kids. Also know it's about a 6 minute walk over the dunes to the beach. No problem for all but my 84 year old mom. If you're real picky you might not like that carpets are stained, but we didnt care because most everything else about the house was great for our mixed age family group!

House was spacious. Very dated but clean. If you just switched out the stained rug in the living room it would make a big difference. Cookie sheets and more pots and pans would be good too. The primary bathroom sink doesn’t drain well also

Lot of noise in a storm (banging, clanging) to the point that we couldn't sleep. Carpet stained in front room... should change out to "not white" carpet. Matrasses of single beds need to be replaced. Uncomfortable, especially for adults. Other than that, love the house.

Our 11 person extended family has stayed here twice now and had a great experience. There’s lots of room to spread out. The kids can go back and forth to the beach themselves. There’s plenty of dishes and kitchen ware. Plenty of seats in dining room and living room. The house does need some updating. Kitchen drawers stick. Not all pans in the kitchen were clean. And living room carpet is stained. But overall this house works for us and we will be back.

We loved this house! The kitchen was very large, we had enough table room to sit for many meals together, and there were plenty of spaces and beds for everyone. We had a blast gathering the whole group together for playing charades and other games in the large living room. I think the beds were full size/double beds and not queens as listed. And the bunk bed room beds were definitely well worn and not super comfortable. This was not a deal breaker, but it is worth noting. Over all we were very pleased with our stay.

Size of home and location was perfect. We even had fun with one of the reviews that mentioned a ghost in the house. We looked high and low for that fella. No such luck. He is GONE. House was great. We will surely check availability on our next trip. Thank you for nice property.

My family of 10 met at this Gearhart VRBO to celebrate my Mom’s 89th birthday. It was perfect. A 5 minute walk to a quiet and beautiful beach, house was spacious enough so people could spread out, and the kitchen was totally stocked with anything needed. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

So disappointed in the cleanliness of the home. Found dog or cat hair all over the VERY stained carpet and dated old furniture.
Kitchen is very old, pots and pans need replacement. It was nice to have 2 refrigerators. It was a big home with 7 bedrooms. But one bed did not have a top sheet. Bedding could be replaced. It needs an update. The location is great with right next to the pathway to the beach. Update the home! Clean the carpet or just replace the old flooring. Get some basic sheet pans for the kitchen, replace the cabinetry. Many of the drawers wouldn't close. With the size of the home, it would be great if there were some very needed updates.
Will contact the Vacasa to request a refund on the cleaning deposit since we needed to vacuum and clean the pet hair.

We had 6 adults and 4 children in this house and everyone had room to spread out, play games, watch sports and hang out without being on top of each other. The location is also amazing - just a 5-7 minute walk across the dunes to the beach. The small village is also easily walkable for morning coffee or dinner at the new and delicious Good Bar! We had a few issues at the outset, which I feel are property management issues. The house itself worked well for us and we would stay there again. More details below.

This house was great for the 11 of us having a family get-together over Memorial Day. The kids loved being able to walk out to the beach by themselves. There was room to spread out and also be all together. There are some shabby aspects to the house. It needs a deep cleaning, as there were cupboards and surfaces that weren't clean.

This house is a great large space for families. The bathrooms upstairs are shared between two or three rooms which might make it difficult for a group of friends. Be ready for older (some very uncomfortable) furnishings. For me, the house needs updating but maybe for others who like an older traditional beach house it would be OK.

This place is built for your large group. I know they limit it at 13, but 16+ people could comfortably stay here. The location is perfect, the kitchen is huge with two ovens, microwaves, refrigerators. Yes, it’s old, it was built in the early 1900’s so not sure what people are expecting. It was unseasonably cold while we were there but the house stays very warm! We had to turn the heat down a few times because it got too hot. Can’t say enough great things about this place. The description is dead on. If space, location, function and comfort are what you’re after, this is the place. If you need the newest, nicest house on the block then it’s probably not for you.

Arrived to trash overflowing outside entry door.
We woke up disappointed to only 2 burners working on the stove to prepare breakfast for 12, stove filthy and oven extremely gross!! Notice countertop peeling, no hot water working in sink of hall bathroom. Grand baby got stuck in downstairs bathroom. Door sticks too hard for a 5 year old to open. Tv cable won't work in second bedroom. Mattresses in bunk room not acceptable Carpets stains, cob webs around furniture. We are extremely disappointed in renting this house!!!
We have come from all over the country to be together. This is tough!! They offered to come clean, we expected that to be done prior to entering. We cleaned ourselves to avoid more chaos after everyones long travel days.

Perfect for Our Retreat
8 of us got together for a casual retreat, and this beautiful old home was perfect for us. We loved the spaciousness. We each had our own rooms, and there was plenty of to gather and work together around the fire or at one of two large dining tables and, at other times, find our own cozy spaces. We loved the location...just over the grasslands to the beach, with gorgeous clouds and sunsets. We even learned from a local and his young son how to spot razor clans and harvest them! Food was a key element of our retreat, and we were delighted by the size of the kitchen and how well stocked it is! All 8 of us had plenty if room to collaborate! So fun!! This was our first annual retreat, and we all said we'd love to come back next year. It *was* pouring rain, and there was water in the basement, so the sump pump was going constantly. While we noticed it, it didn't detract from our time together. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Lovely quintessential beach home in peaceful Gearhart. Stayed here for a long weekend with a group of moms. Enough space to spread out but still feel connected. Comfortable bedding, we’ll-equipped kitchen and charming original features. If you need a “Pottery Barn” decor or a current kitchen this may not be the place for you- furniture is a mix of vintage, mid-century and modern; kitchen is clean but a bit dated. But if you’re looking for a large home with space to congregate and within walking distance to beach, this is a gem! Great views from the upper level and comfortable overall. We’ll be back!

Great family home
3 families and 4 grandchildren had a fabulous time with perfect weather and away from Portland heat. Home is designed to be comfy for everyone, beds could be more comfortable and appliances a little old. Loved the huge for dining room and very spacious kitchen. House has a lot of charm!

Perfect Family Home
The size of this home made it perfect for our family! There was space for us to spread out and read quietly on rainy days. The basement shower was a huge plus - kept SO much sand out spraying off quick before entering the main part of the house. Extra beach towels were handy as we never seem to have enough. Another review mentioned that there were no beach chairs - but we found a few in the garage. All the windows functioned - we've stayed in several that had windows painted closed - which makes it rather uncomfortable on warm days. There were a few items that could have been cleaner, but it's a beach house and overall was truly awesome!

Spacious - but could use a little TLC
We had a great family vacation at this house- 5 adults and 6 children. A bit of a walk to beach for Grandma, but great for the kids. For the high price we paid, I was surprised at some aspects of the accommodations, which could definitely use some updating - including more comfortable mattresses and some of the very well-used kitchen equipment. Some nice beach chairs, beach equipment would have also been a plus.

This home is very accessible to the beach and that was the best part. We found ants in the property and almost all of us developed a rash on the first night before even going to the beach. Cleanliness was not great. The property had a lot of games and was entertaining with breeze from the beach, but internal ventilation was not sufficient. We tried opening the windows but most of them.were without nets and since flies could come in, we had to close them.
