About this apartment rental

The six “São Domingos” apartments are located at the end of “Rua das Flores”, less than 150 meters from Ribeira, the typical and famous area by the River Douro. Each apartment is fully equipped, including air conditioning and windows with thermal and acoustic insulation. It is located in the 3rd floor without an elevator.

“Douro” is one of these apartments, named after the river that bathes Oporto and the vineyards up river where Port Wine comes from. The apartment has close to 100 square meters, is on the third floor of the building, and can accommodate up to six adults. It has two independent bedrooms, both “en suite”, with double-beds and full bathrooms (one with a queen-size bed, the other has a very spacious walk-in closet). There is a separate WC, a sitting room with a balcony over-looking the Square, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchenette, a sofa that can be turned into a comfortable bed to accommodate two extra people, a table for meals, as well as other amenities. A baby cot can be provided upon request.

We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home so please take good care of it as if it was your own.

The area surrounding the apartments is well served by restaurants, cafés, hotels and shops. There are many monuments, buildings and other interesting spots to visit, as well as traditional street animation, music and other shows to be enjoyed. From here one can easily get to other main areas of Oporto by foot, bus, tram or metro, the latter from the nearby iconic “São Bento” train station.

There are two car parks nearby, one on Rua Ferreira Borges (about 150 meters) and the other one on Rua Trindade Coelho - Parque das Cardosas (about 300 meters) , both paid for. In the street / public road the cost will be lower, but it is more difficult to park and the parking is limited in duration.

The Portuguese immigration services (SEF) requires all non-Portuguese guests to fill in a form with some personal data (ID number, nationality, etc.). This form will be sent to you through a certified program or given to you at the check-in. Before your check-in we will send you your pick-up keys and check-in options. Please note that personal check-in with a concierge has a cost of 10€, pending on availability. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.) we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee, at minimum. For the first days we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products ,bin bag., Teabags, and coffee capsules. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€ included.

This is a great place in a wonderful location but the GuestReady management company that manages this location is terrible! Their involvement with booking caused my reservation to be cancelled three times and when I messaged them to get into this property, they said they didn't have anyone by my name with the reservation and they won't take a phone call. They made booking and getting into the property very stressful. I give the place 5 stars and the management company 0 stars! Book this place but beware that it might be stressful working with the GuestReady management company.

The place and location of this apartment was fantastic. The GuestReady company that manages this place is not good. They made creating the reservation and checking in very stressful by cancelling me three times (I received and acceptance notification, followed much later by a cancellation notice because they couldn't verify my credit card which had nothing wrong with it. None of the other 9 places I stayed had any issues). They also don't have a phone number and won't call you even if you text them with the vrbo app to get clarification. I think the owners should get a new management company.

This was a very comfortable apartment. It's large, with two separate bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms. The location was perfect for exploring Porto. The living room windows face a busy pedestrian square with live music all day. It was loud but pleasant with the windows open. The closed windows really kept most of the noise out, and the bedrooms are in the back so it wasn't a problem at all. Room cleaning came every day but was very minimal. Don't expect toiletries or coffee to be replenished each time. There are some stairs to get to the elevator.

great little Villa in the heart of Porto. The accommodations were comfortable and location was close to all the shops, restaurants and historical sites. we really loved Porto.

Great apartment, very clean, and in great location! We were pleasantly surprised that it is so spacious and had 2 full and one half bath which we were not expecting.

This is a beautiful apartment overlooking a lively square. It is better than the description, as it has 2 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. We especially enjoyed the balcony with the two sets of glass/shuttered doors overlooking the square with live music during the day and early evening. Take note, this is a 3rd party owner, so it did require extra communication than it would to be communicating directly with an owner. I would stay here again!!

Apartamento moderno y muy bonito, exactamente como aparece en las fotos, en la zona más turística de Oporto y muy cerca de todos los monumentos y del río. La plaza es muy ruidosa porque hay música durante toda la tarde, pero el apartamento está bastante aislado y las habitaciones son interiores y el ruido no molesta. Apartamento muy confortable y tiene los mismos servicios que un hotel, limpian y hacen las camas todos los día, aunque no han cambiado ni sábanas ni toallas ninguno de los cinco días. Totalmente recomendable.

Nice apartment above lively square (good sound-proof windows when you want quiet.) Host company "GuestReady" was disappointing. It took three calls into them AFTER check-in time to get complete access information. Failed to respond to messages. Did not call with information promised.
