A quiet place to stay for a few days

The apartment was very comfortable with ocean view & walking distance to the small beach & shopping village. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

There’s a steep staircase to get to the apt but it wasn’t a problem for us but it might be for others. FYI The office is open but only to pick up the key and drop it off. No facilities for a family with kids, ibut great for a couple.

We were very comfortable at Poipu Plantation.

Comfort, a short walk to the beach, Bernackes restauran and sunset views withe green turtles, monk seals and whales!

I thought we had rented a place that had a pool plus breakfast option but there were only suites on this property. Otherwise, great!

Will definitely be back, hopefully soon, with the rest of the family!

The location was perfect for us, it was very clean and tidy when we got there. The kitchen was appointed well with everything we needed to cook all meals. I loved the shower soaps already in the shower, I didn’t need to bring my own, that was a nice touch.

The bedroom stayed kinda hot, regardless of the fan being on high the whole time. Other than the mix up with our room “being canceled” in the beginning of our check in process everything was lovely.

Ilima made for an excellent week in Poipu.

The location was perfect! It was close to the beaches, restaurants and shopping villages. My villa, Ilima, was the perfect size, clean and comfy. I WILL be back!

Very comfortable suite, with everything provided. Very clean, close to beaches and everything from beach towels to sun umbrella and chairs provided.

We chose a water/ocean view, which meant climbing (and toting luggage, etc. up and down) 18 stairs to our lodging. Too much for 70 year olds during a week-long stay. We’d choose garden view or similar to avoid the stairs if we returned to this property.

Great week in Kauai with my spouse. We loved the peaceful location & Poipu Beach.

the property was quiet, clean & peaceful! the staff was responsive & friendly.

There needed to be more bathroom towels. we received 1 set per person, which was not enough for 8 days.

We wanted an active vacation, hiking and seeing cultural sites-it was all so easy based here.

Breakfasts were amazing and authentic! Very generous too!

Beautiful location by the famous beach

Charming units among an abundance of vegetation.

Manager was not on location even during the measly several hours the desk should have been open. We have lost precious time and almost missed a whole part of our itinerary just trying to elicit a response by text or phone, in lieu of an open office. “Pay at the property” does not mean a third-party website that doesn’t process non-US cards. A lack of blinds on our door, which results in zero privacy and light in our room for the whole night, should not prompt a response in the form of “there were never blinds on the door”, especially since the photos did have them. Utterly disappointed!

no access to any pool. no public transportation, no grocery in a walking distance (the B&B is not offering any food). AC very weak

Low key location close to rocky beach

Nice balcony and comfortable living room. Grounds are nicely landscaped.

No dish washer and doors don't lock. Walls are very thin so neighbor's conversations carry.

One of the most peaceful and inviting place I’ve stayed at.

Host did a wonderful job with communication and always kept me up to date. That made me feel comfortable and assured that everything would go smoothly. The place was so homey, comfortable, and clean!

Fabulous trip. Highly recommend the location and the hosts are the best. For a family amazing!!

Easy in and out and parking and walking distance to the beach and to restaurants. Loved playing the Poipu Golf Course too.

The only shortfall at all was that the wifi was a bit spotty.

Highlight of our weeklong vacation on Kauai

The location was great: walking distance to beach with safe swimming areas, good snorkeling spots, bathroom facilities, lifeguard tower, snoozing green turtles and monk seals. The apartment was very well outfitted and maintained. I believe management puts a lot of thought and effort into anticipating guest needs/wishes and going beyond the expectations of most.

If I had to say something about areas for improvement: office was a bit unkempt, recycling containers were all full and unsightly. But these things had minimal impact on quality of stay.
