We had a great time!

This place was great! Granted not having a lift and hauling your luggage was brutal, but once up there, the apartment was perfectly located, clean, and check in/out was a breeze! With this location, we were able to walk EVERYWHERE and Porto was a gem to visit!
Parking proved to be a bit of a challenge as the closest two garages were closed, but that had nothing to do with the apartment itself!
We would absolutely come back again!

We had a wonderful time in Porto and the apartment was perfectly situated for everything we wanted to experience. We walked across the river and visited some of the Port companies, there are several great restaurants and pastry shops around the building, and the views from the apartment were spectactular.
Luisa went above and beyond in helping us get ready for our stay and made the whole experience fantastic. You can't go wrong choosing this as your place to stay in Porto!

Communication was overall good with the hosts. They were very gracious to get us into the unit early after traveling overnight from the US. They also arranged airport pickup with their driver Mr. Silva, who is so sweet. He also drove us for a day trip to Douro Valley. The views from the two bedrooms are very pretty. The living room is interior to the inner courtyard of the building. The beds overall weren't the best comfort wise, but the larger bedroom in the back of the unit was definitely the most comfortable. The bedroom closest to the entry door is interior and did not have great air flow except for a small window near the ceiling that could be slightly opened. We experienced quite a bit of cigarette smoke entering that bedroom from a neighboring unit. Overall, the unit is cute. I would recommend more toiletries like toilet paper be made available for a unit that sleeps up to 6 people. However, this seemed to be the trend for everywhere we stayed in Portugal so not specific to this unit. We did experience some issues with our stay, but stayed in communication with the hosts and were ultimately able to resolve, which we were very appreciative of.

We loved this apartment in the heart of it all - perfect for exploring Porto. Great location - we were able to walk everywhere. Stunning views across the city and a beautiful spot to catch the sunset.
The apartment has so much character and was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Only downsides - bathroom is up another level which was not convenient and it is a 4th floor walk up so you will get lots of exercise!
Don’t miss The Door restaurant right around the corner - outstanding meal!

Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped apartment. Beautiful views of the river from 2 bedrooms. Nice neighborhood, close to many attractions and areas of interest. The location in the midst of the old town is what we wanted, but it is on a steep hill… like everything in Porto. The hostess Luisa was kind, helpful and available if needed. Initially, we were concerned that there was no air conditioning. However, the temperature inside the apartment was always pleasant even in mid-July when we were there. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Communication was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable and it was quiet neighborhood (well except for the seagulls 😏)
When it says stairs and no elevator it is very accurate. It is the top unit, 4th floor, and what it doesn't say is that the one bathroom is up another set of stairs within the apartment. Also, keep in mind the city itself is very hilly. It's a great city, a great apartment and we would return.

This property is as described and was nicely furnished. Beds were comfortable. View out of 2 of the bedroom windows was beautiful. Listing warns that it is on the 4th story but we weren’t quite prepared for how hilly Porto was - sometimes that last flight seem endless when we came home! Great location at top of town - easy to tour from. Most sensible parking is at bottom of town however. We drove from Lisbon and had a day trip to Douro Valley.

This place was truly a home away from home. Luisa and Ligia manage the details and the experience to be welcoming. They are responsive to questions and helpful every step of the way. The place is very nice and homey. The bathroom is up a flight of stairs, which is a bit odd, but the upside is you get a lot of privacy! This apartment is on the 4th floor, with 79 steps, so you will earn those Pastels de natas. The location is perfect, just steps from a gorgeous overlook spot. The neighborhood is quiet. We would stay here again next time in Porto. Luisa will become a fast friend and go above and beyond to make your experience in Porto memorable.

We had a wonderful stay here with our family of four (two young children). The apartment looked just like the pictures, was well equipped and clean and had so much space to relax. Luisa was the perfect host - so helpful and thoughtful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from the apartment during our stay in Porto - we would def come back!

My family and I stayed in Porto for just under a week. This lovely apartment was perfect for us, the location was very central, many bars and restaurants and great shopping at the doorstep. The views of the river from the front balcony were wonderful. What really made the stay so special for us was the host Luisa, she was very warm, knowledgeable and accommodating. When our train was canceled due to a strike the day we were meant to leave she was very understanding and helped us to find a solution to our problems. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Luisa thank you so much! Next time we are in Porto this will be our first stop!

If we could give a higher rating than 5 we would. Everything about our experience here was amazing. The hosts were soooo incredible and helpful and we loved the apartment. Tucked away from the hustle of tourism but a short 3 minute walk to all of the action... an ideal location with incredible views as well

This is a fabulous apartment in Porto - comforting, welcoming, convenient to the city, amazing views - a place that instantly feels like home. The tasteful furnishings, the high-quality materials, fast Wi-Fi, the wonderful views - all of these combine into an unforgettable pleasant experience. Thanks to all for such attention to detail, and, of course, muito obrigrado for the warm, personal welcome and recommendations for Porto's sights and restaurants. Magnificent Location Worth the Steps.
Porto is a city of steep walking. We stayed on the top floor apartment. Once we got there it was worth all the effort. An extremely comfortable apartment with fantastic views of the city. Located close to many points of interest and excellent restaurants.

Beautiful and spacious!
Our family loved the penthouse apartment and it’s amazing views. The apartment’s three bedrooms comfortably fit our family of five. The location is very near the city center and two spectacular scenic overlooks, not to mention the amazing views from the balcony of the master bedroom. We also found several excellent restaurants within short walking distance. The apartment managers are extremely friendly and responsive and helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport and train station (when we traveled to Lisbon). We would visit Porto and stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Best inner decorations and location
A very spacious apartment with best view from balcony. Modern inner decoration, clean and whole preparation for visitors.
Close by to most must see places within short walking distance and couple small restaurants with best foods at very good price.
And the apartment manager communicated with me at most prompt responses and giving me some very good suggestions including arranging taxi to pick up & send my family to train station.
Hope everyone enjoys this stay.

Beautiful place for our family of 6.
We had an amazing stay the the Sao Miguel Penthouse apt. The apartment was clean, safe and slept our family of 6 comfortably. The view from the bedroom is spectacular. You can see all the way to the river. We kept the windows open at night to enjoy the cool breeze. (No AC, but stayed cool even in the month of August 2021) Everything we needed was in the apartment. The 4 story walk up was a bit of a hassle with the kids, after exploring the hilly city. We definitely got our workout! Location was perfect. It is walking distance to all the sights. Louisa was a pleasure. She was able to answer all questions and gave fantastic recommendations. She even helped the kids and I brush up on the Portuguese language. We would definitely stay here again if we travel back to Porto. Thank you again!

Fabulous apartment with views of Douro river and nearby church. In the heart of the old town but beware the hills to climb as well as the four flights of stairs to the apartment. Luisa was incredibly helpful and would definitely recommend.

Porto Panorama
The R. Sao Miguel apartment was the perfect fit for our family of three. Luisa greeted us with such friendliness and enthusiasm. The views from the apartment are spectacular! The apartment was spotless and had all the essentials. I would definitely recommend staying here. Just an aside, the apartment is on the fourth floor, no elevator. We didn't care (great way to work off all the Port wine we sampled) but it could be an issue for some.

At the start or the end of the day we’d parkfor a euro or two until it was free. During the day sometimes used the Parque de Lisboa depending on car use (note if you go to the attendant inside they offer a €25 in & out 24 hour rate if you prefer managed parking). Good restaurant and bakery recommendations from Luisa, although I used the bakery Confeitaria Sao Domingos for chocolate croissants for the kids (also note the probably good breakfast places do not open until 9am).

Wonderful hospitality
We greatly enjoyed our brief stay in Porto. The location was perfect for walking around and exploring. Luisa was wonderful and very responsive to any/all of our questions. We only wish we had more time in Porto to see more of the city.

Exceptional stay
From the clean and comfortable room, beautiful view and luxurious touches, to Luisa’s recommendations and availability, we highly recommend this stay. It was perfect for our family of 4 with plenty of space and is obviously well managed by Luisa and her sister. It made our trip very wonderful!

Great stay with family
Our family really enjoyed our stay on the 4 th floor. We had lots of space for 2 adults and 2 kids and found the location to be perfect walking distance to all interesting sites. Luisa was a great host and gave us very good recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. The apartment was very bright and had comfortable beds which is always appreciated after long travel days.

The apartment was pristine and spaces were very large. Ligia and Luisa have all the bases covered and are wonderful and knowledgeable hosts. They had over large family settled even after a 12 hour flight delay. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely apartment in a historic, quiet neighborhood
The San Miguel Apartment is spacious, very well-maintained, bright and quiet. It is very clean and well-cared for, providing all the amenities necessary for a relaxing stay. Luisa welcomed us warmly, and was always available for any questions, advice, directions or recommendations. We highly recommend the apartment and hope to return in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time and can't imagine a better choice for Porto. The location is ideal and the space was perfect for us (three adult friends). We chose this apartment for the view and the location but the place itself was really ideal. We made a few meals at home and ventured out to great nearby restaurants. All of Louisa's recommendations were perfect for us and she was super helpful with directions, orientation to the city, practical tips and a very special night she arranged with a local family for a home cooked celebration dinner. The apartment was spotless, the beds and bedding were high quality. Old world charm and modern comforts in the heart of Porto.

Sunny, spacious, clean, and a great location!
Louisa and Ligia (and team) were very friendly, resourceful, and accommodating. They responded immediately to our requests and were so helpful. They helped make our stay much more special. The apartment is quite spacious, modern and very clean. It impressed us and we travel a fair bit. I would recommend this place and if I am back in Porto, this is the first place I would look.

Heart of historic Porto
The front bedrooms and their balconies have great views of old skylights, mossy tile roofs, the Douro, and the port warehouses on its south bank. The kitchen opens to a small balcony behind the old building that now houses the National Theater. And half a block up the cobblestone street is the baroque parish church of Our Lady of Vitória with its ornate gold-leaf main altar: exquisite.
Luisa, filling in for her sister Ligia, is a great hostess and engineer with lots of tips about Porto. The family is continuing excellent renovations on lower flowers, a nice contribution to the revival of Porto's core.

Nice and clean. Very central.
We had a long weekend in Oporto and staying in this apartment was perfect. We could walk everywhere, but could also easily catch a cab close by. Amazing view over the rooftops and the Douro river. We will definitely go back to Oporto. Ligia was very helpful with tips and taxi booking. She also answered lots of questions between my booking and our arrival. It was my husband's birthday present and he was very happy.

The apartment was bright and clean. Nicely decorated and equipped.Central location.
Even though there were alot of steps to climb, once you get in the apartment the view is worth it. The apartment is in a very central location that makes finding your way around quite easy. Ligia and Luisa were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had regarding Porto. We had so much fun in Porto. If you go you must try the Red berry sangria in the square thats about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. There is always some kind of musician playing there.
We highly recommend this apartment and we always felt safe walking around in the area.
As the saying goes ....."we leave to come back"
