About this house rental
The property is directly on the Willoughby Lake the most scenic lake in Vermont. We
include linens, towels ,kitchen supplies and everything you need to enjoy your stay !
There are beaches located at each end of the lake .We are 35 minutes from Burke Ski Mountain and 50 minutes from Jay Peak.There are extensive hiking trails in the area including on Mount Pisgah and Hor.
We are near the Kingdom Trails, a 100 mile multiple use trail system, unlike any other, which caters to mountain bikers of all levels as well as hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing .There is access to snowmobile trails at the north end of the lake.
For rent during the warmer season we also have on the property an unheated cabin which is only available with the rental of the main house .The cabin has a queen and 2 single beds , a 1/2 bathroom and an efficiency kitchen with a refrigerator , sink , microwave and coffeemaker .
The rental fee for the cabin is $150 per night.

This house is incredible. Super tidy with just about everything you need during your stay. My family and I had the BEST time. It has by far one of the best views on the lake. The house/scenery felt like a dream. My boyfriend proposed to me out on the dock during sunset and it honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

We stayed here as a base for a college graduation celebration at Vermont State University. Six of us stayed and we had a few visitors for supper. Just like the pictures show, this is a beautiful cabin with fabulous views whether you are inside or out. The interior of the cabin felt very clean - just like home really. The bedrooms were very comfortable, as were the bathrooms. The rental is well organized and the HVAC works very well - lots of different weather on our 4 night stay. The wifi worked well and we could easily connect to our streaming services using the Roku. What you can't tell from the pictures is that this place has a very nice kitchen, with all the modern appliances. It is a wonderfully quiet property and has plenty of parking (we had 4 cars) and a nice ramp (for accessibility or rolling a load of groceries) down to the cabin. The gas grill was in good working order and had plenty of propane. The living space had plenty of area to spread out and relax. A few local activities we enjoyed on this trip were the Bread and Puppets museum (amazing unique place), Parker Pies in West Glover (great little beer bar with a small bottle shop connected to it), fishing on May pond and watching the stars from the cabin's front balcony on a clear night. This was a great place for a family gathering and we hope to return in the future.

The house was amazing. It had everything we needed and more. The ping pong table was so much fun on a rainy day. This was the most relaxing vacation we could’ve done. The view of the lake is spectacular and we couldn’t stop taking pictures of it, lol.

Beautiful location of the house. Very nice owner of the house. We had a great time at the Burke ski resort and Jay Peak ski area. That was a second time we were there and planning to come back.

I felt like I was on a Scandinavian Lake. It was dark when we arrived, so it wasn’t until sunrise when we saw the beauty of this property. The house is equipped with almost everything you could ask for. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Would highly recommend!

We had a great stay at the house over Labor Day weekend. One of the rare cases where the inside condition was better than it appeared in the online listing. We also rented the small cabin and had the kids sleep there, which was fun. The house was well stocked, including the kitchen. Having a house right on the water, with a small dock is the essence of summer living. We loved the beauty of the lake and would definitely stay again — Stu and Anthony were super hosts!

This is a very unique property directly on the lake with a fantastic view. The host checked in to see if everything was in order after we arrived, and let us know that if we needed anything just to call. The house was well equipted. We had a nice stay.

This home is literally on Lake Willoughby, the view is breathtaking. The space is open and comfortable. This is our second year staying here over the Memorial Weekend. Both stays the owner checked in on us to see if everything was going well and if we needed anything. We enjoy our time at Willogap and hope to return again to this quiet serene getaway!

The place was perfect for six of us. We enjoyed the open floor plan downstairs and had fun playing ping pong!! We only wish it had been summer so we could have also enjoyed swimming in the crystal clear water. The house was great!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Lake Willoughby and are so grateful to have found Stu and Anthony's home Willogap. The house was completely charming and comfortable - a home away from home. We literally gasped at the magnificent views of the lake and mountains from every window and the decks EVERY time we looked and could have stayed forever. We hiked and explored amidst the gorgeous autumn leaves which fluttered down all around us. It was magical and dreamlike and our only regret was not staying longer. We hope to make Lake Willoughby and Willogap a yearly destination. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! It is a cherished memory!

Great location on Lake Willoughby. "Wall of windows" in the living room provides a spectacular view down the lake to Willoughby Gap & the surrounding mountains. Upper & lower decks (which overhang the lake) are great for lounging on nice days while gas fireplace is perfect for chilly days. Location is quiet & private. Many hiking trails nearby. Furniture / beds were comfortable & kitchen was well stocked / equipped. Showers are a bit small, but adequate. The owner (Stu) was easy to communicate with & very helpful. Overall - Highly recommended!

This is a unique property with a location on and over the lake. Fantastic views, a dock, swimming area, and expansive views from the upper and lower decks, and from inside the large living/dining area. Impressive redesign of an older property. The house was well stocked for our stay. We had excellent communications from our host, who notified us that the house was cleaned and ready, and allowed us to arrive earlier in the day We enjoyed out late summer vacation very much, and hope to return next summer.

Family mini vacation!
There were 6 of us, two children and four adults. More than enough room. We met the caretaker who was very nice and helpful. Also spoke to one of the owners who called to check in on us and see if everything was going well or if we needed anything. We have been going to this area for years and staying at a various vacation homes. This home by far was the cleanest and all furnishings were in good repair. The location of this home is literally on the lake and the view is spectacular. We will look no further than this vacation home for our future vacations.

The Perfect Getaway
I have spent my fair share of time in the Lake Willoughby area, and this is certainly one of my favorite places now! The view of the gap is unbelievable. The home home is cozy, comfortable and clean. The kitchen has everything you need. I highly recommend this place to anyone hoping to visit the Lake Willoughby area!

WONDERFUL WILLOGAP
Staying in this lake house is like staying on a ship without the "rocking"; the panoramic bank of windows creates the sensation of actually being on the water (like an infinity pool)...how wonderful. The southern mountain views are dramatic and the quietly passing loons put you at ease.
The owners called to check in on us, making sure that all was well and to offer assistance should we need it.
We are in our 70's and "know a good thing when we see it" and we saw and experienced it...smiles. We stayed the 3rd week of April to avoid the hustle of summer crowds and we were not disappointed.

Holiday Winter Escape
We had the most lovely stay at this property between Christmas and New Years. The view is all encompassing... it's as if you are floating over water. The home itself is so cozy and comfortable, a perfect apres ski place and probably even more perfect in the summer months. The beds were extremely comfortable and all of the appliances and utilities worked wonderfully. Will definitely plan to stay here again!

Great space to hang out, and terrific views
Really nice house right on the water (it pretty much hangs over the water which is quite cool). Great open space in the living room to spread out and have fun. We went in the winter, so spent a lot of time around the fire and playing ping pong. Host was great, called us upon arrival to see if everything was in order for us. Hope to come back in the summer time to enjoy some time in the water!

Can't get closer to the water!
We really enjoyed the location of this house. The area is secluded and quiet. The house sits on top of lake so is perfect for boating and swimming. The water was much warmer than I expected and was crystal clear. Loons, kingfishers, green herons and mergansers were a few of the birds on the lake. We did a hike up Mount Pisgah and enjoyed the view of the lake from on high. The house was comfortable and I loved watching the lake from the deck. I highly recommend the Parker Pie Company in West Glover for pizza and craft beers. Very casual and lots of fun. This vacation spot will not disappoint!
