This beautiful home know as the Duke of Windsor has been totally renovated from the studs out. Immaculately restored with all the amenities demanded by the modern traveler. Open concept floor plan with gourmet kitchen decked out with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two sinks, and breakfast nook. Offering seven bedrooms, each with a marble en-suite bathroom. Central AC, flat screen TV s, WIFI, two gas fireplaces, multiple gathering spaces, formal dining room, incredible bunk room, spacious front porch, comfy living spaces for relaxing - some large for gathering and some small for quiet times - along with multiple porches for enjoying the sea air and al fresco dining. Set in the heart of town on tree-lined Washington Street, the ambiance of the town comes alive in this spectacular setting. A short walk to the beach. Pillows and blankets provided. Tenants will need to bring their own linens and towels. Here is the link to a linen package that can be purchased through a local Cape May linen provider: https://www.linenladies.com/817.html .Beach amenities provided are as follows: For summer 2024 there will be 3 beach boxes with 16 beach chairs, umbrellas (2 already set up each day) some toys and cabana, they will be located on the Ocean Street beach which is conveniently located to the house (10 minute walk). There will be a little extra room in the boxes to leave personal belongings for the week to make it even easier to get to the beach every day. The house was the perfect size for our party of 12 family members. But when we arrived we found a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and also dirty glassware and silver ware in the cabinets and drawers. The house itself was magnificent.

We had the best time celebrating the Christmas season this past weekend at the Duke of Windsor. We were so excited when we arrived to find out the house was fully decorated for the holidays. We had four families, and the house was able to accommodate us perfectly. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen and all the rooms to relax and have a cocktail. We'll definitely be back next year!

What a magnificent home to celebrate my 70th birthday with my family. All the bedrooms have private baths which was perfect for our group of 11. We loved the front porch and the elevator was a bonus for transferring luggage to the 2nd and 3rd floors. The weather was perfect for walk to a local fair, to town and walk along the boardwalk promenade. It was a grand way to celebrate my birthday!!!

The house itself was wonderful for our large family gathering. Upon leaving though, we were falsely accused of having animals in the house. WE DID NOT! We provided evidence of payment to our pet sitters, and allergy records of other family members and were still not acknowledged as being honest responsible guests. They did agree to send our security deposit back because they "didn't want to ruin our experience". (Too late - being falsely accused is not a good feeling!) Additionally, the A/C was not working when we arrived and called the rental agency. No one called us back and my brother in law had to go to the office to request service.

Everything was good except the elevator was not working properly and maintenance was not able to come until Tuesday after our Saturday check in. My Mom is 95 and we really needed the elevator and this is why we booked the house. That was very disappointing.

I want to visit every year!

My family have stayed twice in 2021. We all love this house. Comfortable, every room is lovely. Gorgeous but comfy decor. Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Perfect location!! Property management were kind, responsive and professional. I’m already trying to figure if we can do it next year.

Loved the house and location. Only improvement I can think of is installing an ice maker. I gave the check-in process only two stars for the following reason: we had a 4:00 check-in time and I arrived for the keys at 3:42. The realty rep told me I had to wait until 3:50 to get the keys since I had a 4:00 check-in time. I thought he was joking but then realized he was not. I actually had to wait around for 8 minutes before he would hand me the keys. Seriously??!! Other than this bizarre start to the week, my entire group loved the house. My cousin has already booked it for some time in December.
