Edisto Beach is a gem, and we will be back to stay. We only live 30 minutes away, but we always loved this quaint beach and wanted to spend a week. Everyone is friendly and so helpful; reminds me of the beach when I grew up in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. The town has an ice cream truck that comes down the streets after dinner. The house was amazing, roomy, and had everything we needed. It has a great screened porch with plenty of chairs, table, and a porch swing. The tv had access to many channels that we enjoyed watching during the storm. It kept the children busy. We want to make this an annual summer vacation in this same house; we love it. It’s close to the beach and pet friendly. We rented a golf cart to get around the island, but due to the storm, “Debbie”, only had it for 3 days. We made so many memories and had an amazing time, even with the storm. Thank you, Vacasa!

Our group of six was very comfortable at this Edisto home. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for us to gather. It’s located just a couple of blocks from the beach. For the most part the home was very clean and updated. The checkout process was a bit confusing in terms of what was expected of us. The app gave us one set of instructions and there was a different list of instructions on the fridge in the home. Neither of the lists were extensive but it would be helpful for the hosts to update whichever list is outdated. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would book here again.

We really enjoyed Herondipity. The home is a 5 minute walk to the beach, on a quiet shaded street, with a shaded screened-in porch. We only used the porch the last couple of days due to the low weather temperatures but I think the porch would be a huge plus in the summer heat. The house is not new and the salt air is tough on everything. But the house is comfortable and was a good space for me and husband and our daughter’s family with 3 small children and dad. They had the two bedrooms with a shared bath and could close off their entire area. We found the beds to be comfortable as well as the living furniture. The address of the house is Jungle road but the house sits back off of jungle road and faces a side street and we did not hear any road noise. There were some things in the house that could use updating like one of the bedroom area rugs and some of the pots and pans. For the most part the kitchen was well stocked. The house was clean such as counters, bathrooms and floors. But some of the kitchen cabinets were in disarray and needed a good organizing and clean out. I suspect that the house has been rented the last 6 to 9 months and just needs a good reset. My husband and I both did some work the first couple of days and had no problems with the wifi or internet using our corporate VPNs. All in all, this is a solid comfortable house that I would rent again.

Clean house. Spacious and beautiful. Plenty of space on upper and lower levels to spread out and enjoy no matter the weather. Loved the dock on property and the small park next door. Easy to fish from both, and nature watch. Short walk to the beach. This quiet neighborhood is a gem, everyone was super friendly. Only complaint is the dishwasher kept cutting off on its own before it finished, so we had to start all over again. And the outdoor shower, we could never get it to work. But great house! We would stay there many more times.

Herondipity was located about a block from the beach access. The home was quiet and offered lovely views of the small park next door. Bedrooms were well stocked with extra blankets and pillows; the kitchen also had plenty of dishes and silverware. We were, however disappointed that there were no beach towels or chairs -- forcing us to rent both at exorbitant prices. The house was surface clean but could really use a deep clean and a refresh -- just to get rid of wall scuffs and wobbly outdoor furniture legs.

This property is pet friendly, which we were looking for. So reviews said there was dog hair everywhere. We found this to be untrue. It’s furnished nicely. Great layout (guest rooms and bath have a separate door and hallway), which is great for families. We loved the screen porch and the dock over looking the pond, which they don’t really highlight. It’s a short golf cart ride to the beach access at the end of the street.

Sweet Retreat
This was our second year staying at Herondipity. We love the location, the screened porch, the deck out by the pond and the floor plan is perfect. We love being able to do laundry, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking, and the dishwasher is really helpful. It is pet friendly so be aware that no matter how well it gets cleaned, there is pet hair everywhere.

Fantastic Stay
Our family visited for a long weekend and this home was absolutely amazing for our stay. Very clean, great personal touches and the property management was phenomenal. I've been to Edisto many times and stayed in many rental houses. Herondipity is one of the best experiences I've had in a rental home. The house is well laid out and accommodates a large family if needed. The master bedroom/bathroom are on one side of the house and the other bedrooms/bathroom are on the other side of the house with the kitchen/living area separating the two. There is a great porch on the house and the house is located on a large inland lagoon if you want to fish. It is an easy walk to the beach access from the house as well. The house is well furnished and the kitchen is very well stocked for your cooking needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one piece of feedback I have for the owners is that the grill downstairs needs to be replaced. The grill cover has burned through at the handle such that the handle is no longer attached. This made the grill not usable since the cover could not be used while cooking to shield the grill from the wind.
