Both of us as owners, & our cleaning staff have severe allergies to pet dander & fur. Therefore we do not permit any animals in our home or on our property. Also, we do not have the staff to check the entire property for animal poop. We have a lot of wildlife up here on the mountain, & therefore it is very dangerous for any animal to be outside unattended. Even leashed, our wildlife can be rather bold (coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, bears, etc). Deer are plentiful, as are birds, & other smaller creatures. So not a good idea. This home in the hills above Port Angeles was the perfect getaway for our family. Spacious and well-appointed, quiet, and with wonderful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca with Victoria, BC, and Mt. Baker in the distance, it made for a great retreat for our family. The home is located just minutes from the northern entrances to Olympic National Park and stores and restaurants are conveniently minutes away. This is the place to stay if you're going to Port Angeles/Olympic National Park!
4.8
This is a beautiful home with impressive views from the family room wall of windows. Location was great as well as we could get to downtown Port Angeles pretty quickly. The owner was quick to respond to our questions and definitely takes pride in their home. It is well appointed and very clean. We would recommend this home for any family. It can easily accommodate a larger group. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
4.8
We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. It is even better than the pictures show. It has everything you’d ever need, and the views are spectacular. Our only regret we have is that we weren’t there enough. We left early and returned late. We hope we can visit again one day.
4.8
Gorgeous view, great location, comfortable beds and the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. Obviously well cared for. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

April’s home is located on a mountainside with commanding views of the waterway below, British Columbia in the distance, and Mt Baker. Our weather was perfect and the views were stunning. The home itself is beautifully decorated and has a great kitchen. This was our location as a home base to visit and explore Olympic National park - particularly the hurricane ridge area and Lake Crescent. The coastal areas are further away but certainly reachable as day trips.
The overall experience was much better than the pictures can portray.
This is a beautiful and well care for home - a VRBO that does not feel like a rental property - one of those that after a day or two you are surprised (very pleasantly so) that the owner is sharing it.
We were thrilled to have stayed there - 5 stars all the way.
4.8
Nice property with awesome views! Nicely appointed kitchen and beautiful deck outside. The pictures on the listing are 100% accurate. Cute little family of bunnies that live in the yard and a lot of hummingbirds on the deck!
4.8
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. We loved coming “home” from Olympic national park to the view, wildlife and sense of peace! We didn’t want to leave and highly recommend.

We stayed at Mt. Pleasant Main Garden View Main Ranch for 3 nights/4 days and had a perfect time and a quiet escape. All aspects of renting the property, communication with owner, check-in, etc. were flawless. The home was exceptionally clean also when we arrived. We love to cook together and the kitchen had everything for someone who loves to cook. Also the French press (2 of them) was a nice touch as a good bit of our leisurely mornings was spent drinking coffee on the deck, looking out over the beautiful meadow and water with Canada just across the way. The display of wildlife was wonderful -- so if you are a birder and enjoy a wide range of species (iincluding a bald eagle), you'll love the show. Lots of cozy spots to curl up with a book. Super comfy furniture, sunlight, all kinds of plants and landscaping to admire also. We didn't have a single problem or issue - everything worked (rarely the case in a rental property), the owner's instructions anticipated all our questions and needs and we all felt very warmly welcomed!

This home is situated at a high elevation with huge windows that provide absolutely beautiful views of the wildlife, water, and even Canada across the way.
Two of the bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of amenities to pamper those who stay there and the kitchen is well-supplied but the real showstopper is the main living/dining area and the wall of windows. Gorgeous views!
The bedroom on the lower level is functional but not as comfortable as the other two and has a musty odor and a loud heating/cooling system.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and our host was extremely responsive and accommodating.
4.8
We used this as a base to explore all of Olympic National Park. A clean, quiet, and secluded place, but with easy access to grocery stores and Port Angeles. The fully stocked kitchen was definitely a plus. The view of the Straight was fabulous and the hummingbirds provided great afternoon entertainment!
4.8
This is a lovely home, exactly as pictured. It was very clean and comfortable, and the view was spectacular. The location was good for exploring Olympic National Park. A great experience all around. Would definitely stay here again.
4.8
We chose this VRBO as it was close to Olympic National Park. The home was clean, comfortable and had everything needed. It had a spectacular view of the water and Canada in the distance, too.

Amazing
4.8
We had a lovely stay at the ranch house. It worked well for three couples. There was enough space in extra rooms for three people to work while we were there. The house had everything you needed to prepare meals. Outside barbecue was a bonus. The bathrooms and linens were top notch. We were well situated to access the wilderness that we came to see. April was very accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.
4.8
This is a beautiful home with breathtaking views, it had everything we needed for our stay, I would highly recommend this property! We used it as a home base for day trips but could easily have just stayed there and looked at the view! I would stay at this location in the future!
4.8
April was fantastic to work with. The home sits high on a hill providing great views. Well appointed and comfortable-perfect location to visit Olympic National Park. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!
4.8
Perfect place to end our busy days after exploring the area. We loved that the location was close to everything. We enjoyed seeing eagle, elk, deer and humming birds. Would definitely recommend.
4.8
Probably worth the expensive fees. The house was fully stocked and had all the amenities needed to make a great family meal. Really enjoyed the grill on the deck and the ping pong in the basement
4.8
As soon as you walk in, the views over looking the water are breath taking. After we hiked all day, we walked through the front door to see the pastel color sunset. It was such a pleasant treat as we enjoy our dinner and drinks on the deck.
The house has such a welcoming feel and everything you need to feel right at home. We could not have asked for a more pleasant or perfect place to stay for our trip.
The host was very helpful as well, they did a fantastic job of making sure you have everything you need and you enjoy your time while you’re staying at their property.
4.8
Property is fine but owner has their property (used soap bars, toothpaste) intermixed in the cabinets. Combine that with a 450 mysterious fee + $3 a log (seriously?) the place is overpriced and antiseptic.
4.8
Wonderful location to tour ONP or ferry to Victoria. House week stocked and very clean. Threat views across to Canada
4.8
We loved our stay here! The house and surrounding property are so beautiful! It had everything we needed and more! Location was perfect too. We were able to easily access all the activities we wanted to do, and there is so much to do! We would come back here again for sure. April, the owner, was very responsive and so helpful everytime I had a question.
Perfect experience!

The house is so beautiful and a great location

This home is everything and more that it purports to be. We are a group of three couples that enjoys traveling together and this home was just perfect. We all enjoy cooking and the kitchen worked well for us and the spice cupboard is well stocked. We had a great time in the basement game rooms holding round robin tournaments for both pool and ping pong. The highlights of our evenings were cocktail hour on the beautiful veranda overlooking the Straights of Juan de Fuca. The location is terrific, just a few minutes from downtown Port Angeles. We did take the Ferry over to Victoria one day and had a great visit at Buchart Gardens and downtown Victoria. April is a very attentive host. We highly recommend this property.
4.8
Very nice propoerty, home and furnishings. Everything as advertised.
4.8
Very nice home up on the hills overlooking Port Angeles. We really enjoyed the very comfortable conditions as we recovered from riding Hurricane Ridge. Loved sitting on the back deck watching wildlife and both Sunrise and Sunset. Very nice location, quiet and very well maintained.
4.8
We loved the location, the views, the birds, the deer, the pool table. The kitchen was very complete.
The mildew odors in the basement should have been resolved before we arrived; it was a little unsettling that we were the ones who had to go out and purchase a dehumidifier. The furniture in the living room needs an upgrade; it was quite uncomfortable.

WONDERFUL PROPERTY AND HOST
Great stay. Our group from Iowa, New York, North Carolina and Tennessee loved it
All are Florida winter friends.
4.8
Beautiful home, uncomfortable feelings!
A very lovely home but we felt very uncomfortable before we arrived by the owners demands and rules of our stay. It was difficult for us to enjoy and feel relaxed. We always leave rentals clean, however, We had to start the laundry and tear the beds apart. We have never encountered this before! Our family was gathered from several states due to a death, and we couldn’t even invite other members over for coffee as their “rules” do not allow visitors in their home. Ridiculous!
Our journey from this location took us to a rental in Alaska where we hosted a family gathering of 20 people, with permission, which allowed us a wonderful evening!
4.8
Surprised that 2 bedrooms were locked and unavailable for use. Would have been nice to have access to whole house. Overall beautiful property with a nice view.

Lovely, peaceful, beautiful home with a view!
We loved staying at this lovely home! The beds were amazing. The views of sunrise and sunset were perfection! We would definitely recommend staying here as your home base in the area. We were greeted every morning and evening with a family of deer! We hope to return during the winter time!

Our family stayed at the Mt. Pleasant Garden View Main Ranch house during our vacation to Washington. The house was beautiful, and meticulously clean. The property itself is amazing. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to create a chef-quality meal. Our entire family even played a lively game of ping-pong on the full-size table they had. I gave this house a 5-star review because it's simply gorgeous, and the location is beautiful. However, you should note that the requirements to stay here are almost herculean. The list of house-rules can be daunting. Also, you are in the country...and being in the country has some unavoidable draw-backs. The well-water smells like sulfur, and the septic system is very sensitive. That being said...it's a small price to pay for such a lovely place to stay. The owner is very attentive, and she will gladly answer any questions you have in a quick and timely manner. If you want to hike in Olympic National Park and also stay in a beautiful house...this is the place for you.

The home is beautiful, just as listed. We enjoyed using such a nice kitchen after a lovely day of hiking Sol Duc Falls and Crescent Lake at Olympic National Park. The beds were very comfortable although I’ve never seen beds raised so high. The trouble was that GPS does not recognize the address as being in Port Angeles but took us instead to the same address in Port Ludlow almost an hour away and after waiting 3 hours for the ferry coming from Seattle it made for such a long day we weren’t able to do anything else. When I called April for help she reminded me that she had sent written directions however as a frequent road tripper GPS has always been much easier and safer. Just a word of advice to NOT use your navigational system. The modern world of technology and safety is of no use here, you must go old school and risk safety for reading directions in print. Just a bit of valuable knowledge that will hopefully save YOU some aggravation and time in your day. Another suggestion is to bring your own firewood if you’d like to make a fire Even though there were 2 very large stacks of wood on the property for the wood burning stove in the living room there is an additional charge of $3 per small log. Despite these 2 things the house is comfortable, clean and in close proximity to the national park.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views
This home is beautiful, very clean, and was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting the Olympic Peninsula. The incredible views were absolutely breathtaking and such a treat. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

The property was just fine, but the issue we had was with the listing. The property and price are listed as a three bedroom and priced at or above other three bedrooms for that area. Nowhere on the main page does it say anything that the posted price is something other than for the three bedrooms. So we booked it only to get an email from the owner stating that they were going to lock one of the other bedrooms. Turns out you need to click on "view more" to uncover the surprise that the posted price is only for one bedroom, not all three. The owner did allow us to cancel, but I didn't have time to search for another house and had to swallow the additional costs. I pointed out the fact to the owner that this bait-and-switch on the price was deceiving and at a minimum she should mention it on the main page. She agreed and said that she would update the posting, but that was a couple months ago and the ad is still the same. I'm not the only one who was burned by this, so please view the "view more" so you know what the real costs will be. On a side note, supposedly the VRBO algorithm does not work correctly and that there is a rule that you need to book a minimum four night stay during a holiday. Though the web site allowed us to book a three night stay, the owner informed us of this rule after we booked making this a double surprise vacation. Hopefully you found this info to be helpful.
