A comfortable suit with stunning view

Our suite was very comfortable with big beds and a kitchen equipped with all the essential for basic cooking. The view to the sunset was marvelous. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful with everything we needed.

The location of the houses was quite remote from the village and without a private ride the access to facilities like restaurants is quite difficult. Even though there is delivery option and transportation on demand available, they charge you about 2000 colones (~4$) more because of the remote location.

Stunning Views, Wonderful Place to Stay!

Very nice property. We were lucky to have the unit we did. 2 beautiful bathrooms and 2 king size beds and a decent kitchen. We chose to sleep on the lower floor because the wind was quite noisy upstairs so it was nice we did have the option. Beds are super comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. The views are stunning!! Very easy location to get to. Loved it.

It’s very much out in the open so the wind does rip through there at extremes and can get loud. Other than that it is a wonderful place to stay!

Breathtaking views, spacious accommodation close to Monteverde - staff were welcoming and really helpful advising on activities in the area and our onward journey - can’t recommend this property enough!

Sensational views. Really clean and well kept. Hosts also helpful.

The view from the accommodation is truly magnificent especially during sunset. The lodge is really spacious, well kept and set in a quiet area. On top of that the facilities were also really clean. The hosts also provided with a very useful map of the area marking the main attractions and providing the pros and cons of each excursion / tour. All the excursions were booked upon arrival with the help of the hosts.

The lodge is around 2km away from the Santa Elena town center, so a taxi or a car is ideally required, but not essential if you are willing to walk 30 minutes into town.

A great place to find peace after a fun filled day of activities.

The condo looked brand new. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets every night from our balcony. One night we enjoyed the view from the jacuzzi. After a long name of hiking it was that icing on top of a perfect day.

This is a sterile environment with little personality. It ticks all the boxes for a hotel room with a small kitchen.

Only complaint is that the fridge could be bigger. The bar size fridge could barely fit a wine bottle.

This is a beautiful place and very well equipped. 2 bedrooms each with a bath and a kitchen and dining area. The top room has a balcony to watch the magnificent sunsets. It is about 10 minutes from the center of Santa Elena so you do really need a car.

The ultimate sunset viewing place to stay

You can't really start talking about this place without mentioning the view. We were lucky enough to always have a great weather and the sunsets were just AMAZING. You can literally lay in the bed and watch the sunset though the wall-sized window. The best hotel view we've seen during our trip. The reception will arrange any activities you might want during your stay. Since the breakfast was not included, we went to Orchid Coffee - highly recommended. The room has a kitchen and the bathroom is roomy.

The roads to Monteverde are terrible, watch out for the potholes out of nowhere and asphalt suddenly ending. The hotel is kind of far from the main village, so those that get scared easily may not feel comfortable there as the place is somewhat secluded (just 6 apartments in the whole complex) and there are random people coming to see the sunset and party next to the gate (we didn't find them loud).

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Vista Lodge. The room was clean airy and roomy, and the view was spectacular! Bed was really comfortable and the kitchen was just lovely!

The shower temperature wasn't high enough for the winter.

Nice stay!

I could not get tired of the amazing view over the gulf of Nicoya. Sunsets were really impressive!

A car is a must as the property is away from the main town. Shower was mostly cold. Decoration is a bit too rustic for my taste but some people might like it. Extremely windy location!

Absolutely loved this place!! It has such an amazing view, unfortunately we came in rain season but still, the peaceful surrounding and beautiful view is stunning! Service was really, they have in house laundry service, the apartment was spacious and clean, definitely would want to return!
