Great Sea views from the house

Beautiful sea views, big pool and area serene and quiet. Shops are not too far very convenient. Their kitchen well stocked

Showers, showers, showers they splatter water everywhere 😭 They really need to upgrade their showers it's their one thing that makes place a 7 instead of 9... Water splatters everywhere in the room

The stove - was gas, but was not on a great place. There is no light when cooking, so makes it a bit difficult to see, and being tall, the little area that it’s in makes it hard to move around There should also be a mini UPS for the WiFi / we. Experienced load shedding while there for 4hrs a day, which wasn’t planned or the properties fault, but having internet connection during this time would’ve been great Load shedding - would be great, especially for foreigners to have noticed up/on the app to educate about load shedding, what to do, etc., and use the WhatsApp number to keep guest informed of which stage/ how long/ what the procedure is

Average property in Hermanus, great location though.

location was excellent

several doors were broken, the exterior was looking a bit unkept. Weeds in the driveway and generally just a concrete area. not overly appealing. Also paid a R2000 deposit and still yet to receive my refund a week later. Got a message saying that I need to contact someone else to get my money back, pretty poor.

Make sure you get your deposit money back!

I don't like the fact that its been a month since I paid the damages deposit of R4000 and to date they have not bothered to refund me despite making contact twice already! The linen was also stained and shower upstairs was leaking into the lounge. There was no firewood so we had to go running to buy some to keep the lounge warm

Nice view and close to cliff walk

The provisions made for loadshedding wasnt great. The rechargeable lights werent charged and there were no cables to charge them. The dishwasher didnt work. The showers are open and water runs all over the bathroom. The owner didnt bother to communicate properly with me.

very little for the standard expected

very poor maintenance around front yard area. unsightly weeds growing everywhere. roof leaked during rain. no generator to cater for electric load shedding

Prime position and very comfortable.

Absolutely perfect prime position with the most beautiful view of the ocean and Walker Bay. The pool at the house was a huge bonus and was well used the entire weekend. The bedrooms were lovely - and some ridiculously huge :) Very comfy beds. The house was very clean and worked well for a large group. We had a great weekend away and will def like to stay again!

The biggest problem was that 4 of the bathrooms did not have doors on them (open plan to bedroom) - not very practical especially the room that slept 4 - no privacy to shower, use toilet etc. One bathroom downstairs is in full view of everyone on the patio - bad bad planning and very easy to put doors on. Some of the bedside lamps were not plugged in as there were not enough 2pin adapters - someone brought adapters the next day only. These lamps had loadshedding bulbs in - great idea if you could plug them in during loadshedding! The braai room is lovely except it is at the back of the house and should be facing the breathtaking views the front of the house has.

great location. nice pool. spacious house.

the communication was terrible - I spoke to various different people and none of them really knew what was going on. no briefing on the alarm which then deafened us. no soap at all in the house. one dishcloth. two small pots for a house that caters to big families. no big salad bowls. the kitchen sucks we’re ridiculous - low water pressure and tiny sinks, making soaking / washing braai trays almost impossible. overall the kitchen amenities were poorly lacking. the floors were filthy. only one key which for a big family coming and going is not practical.

The spacious accomodation with all rooms en suite. The location so close to the beautiful coastal nature walk

The house has an electrical problem. It was literally shocking!!! To touch any appliance, we were shocked from the toaster, microwave, kettle and dishwasher to the swimming pool when the cleaner was on!!! There were also plumbing (water running down the wall from the upstairs piping into the lounge downstairs) and damp issues.

Big house conveniently situated for big groups

Big house with all ensuite bathrooms, suitable for big groups.

Communication with the host was exceptionally poor and frustrating, from booking, paying, getting the key and checking out. The contact persons never get back to you even though you left several messages on the numbers provided. We were also caught off guard with loadshedding. Suggest more can be done for visitors by providing at least candles during load shedding. Some (most) of the electrical plugs in the rooms were not working and the women in the house had to dry their hair in the kitchen and lounge areas.

Paradise

This location was perfect, the house was spacious (we were a group of 13) and beautifully designed. The view off the cliff was amazing every morning and evening and we were within walking distance from the town, which was super vibey. Shay was also an extremely accommodating host, we had an amazing stay.

Some of the showers weren’t draining well, but otherwise no issues.

Family break @ 38

Newly renovated , spacious property with all the amenities required for a large group of people. A few steps from the cliff path, great location! Shay is a great host, also provided two bags of wood for the fireplace/ braai. Will definitely return!
