About this apartment rental
There is no better way to experience the eclectic, vibrant, culturally diverse mountain town of Livingston than staying downtown in one of it's convenient and historical buildings! A fun blend of history, vintage building with modern amenities. Walking distance to all the fun, food, shops and scenery of this once bustling railroad town. You will fall in love with Livingston's character, beauty and friendly locals.
The Downtown Lovely is in one of the most beautiful, historic buildings downtown. Once a hotel during Livingston's heyday when it was the original entrance to Yellowstone National Park; the bright and peaceful space is all you need for a quick weekend in Livingston or a longer stay for work or travel. Did we mention, it is just lovely ...
The one bedroom apartment is located on the second level with extra tall ceilings, large windows, a newly remodeled kitchen with updated appliances and a large bathroom with clawfoot tub.
The living room has a couch that converts to a very nice queen size sleeper sofa, smart TV, Victrola record player and a few eclectic tunes. The quaint dining area has seating for 4, and a large desk for any "work from home" needs.
The apartment has high speed internet . We also have two window ac units - one in the bedroom and one in the dining room.
Well behaved pets are allowed with PRIOR approval and a $200 non-refundable pet fee. They must be kept on leash and there is no area for them to do their business unless you walk around the block (and of course pick up after your pooch!). They are not to be left unattended (and not barking) in the apartment.
Parking is 2 hour just in front of the apartment, but less than 1 block away are city streets where cars can be left overnight and longer than 2 hours.
ABOUT LIVINGSTON AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Resting on the banks of the Yellowstone River surrounded by majestic mountains. Livingston delivers an eclectic blend of shops, museums, Golf course, galleries, live theater and music, as well as unique restaurants for every taste. Livingston and Park county have endless breathtaking ranges, fun and hardworking ranches and romantic shops, diners and restaurants. Whether you seek the rugged outdoors or culture within our many art galleries and live theatre, comfort cuisine to fine dining, you will certainly be ready to stay longer.
Livingston is known for its neon signs, breathtaking views as you walk up and down the main streets, surprisingly cultured restaurants and shops.
45 minutes South you will find Yellowstone National Park, 15 minutes drive to river access in Paradise Valley, 15 minutes to numerous hikes and trails and so much more! The Bozeman Airport is 30 miles away.
For your convenience there is a key pad on the door to the apartment. Guests have access to the entire apartment, the common areas on the main level and 2nd floor level just outside #20.
Amazing, safe, lively and beautiful part of downtown Livingston. You are in "The Grabow," a well maintained, historic building and former turn-of-the-century hotel, now hosting individually owned condos and apartments. There is a common area on the first level of of the building so you can spread out and relax and take in the local scenery.
Livingston is very walkable! So, around town you will find you can eat, drink and play easily on foot. However, we recommend a vehicle so you can drive to Yellowstone, hiking trails and other excursions. We always recommend 4 wheel drive.
There are 24 steps to get to the apartment. There is no elevator in the building. Parking is limited on the street and 2 hour on the streets just outside the building. Vehicles must be parked 1 block away to avoid the 2-hour parking tickets!

This was the most charming apartment! It had everything we needed plus it's very centrally located. We walked everywhere. Parking on the street out front was perfect. You do need to climb the gorgeous staircase with your bags but it's well worth it. A very lovely, cozy place. We'll stay there again.

The apartment was lovely. Everything you need within walking distance; coffee, bakery, restaurants, taverns. A very nice location in a wonderful small town.
However, it does not sleep four. There is one bed and a small fold-out (trundle bed). The fold out is really only designed for one adult or two children. Keep that in mind when booking.

Incredible apartment to stay in. So cute, had all the amenities we needed: kitchen, coffee, nice family room to lounge in. Even enjoyed paying record on the turntable. Host was quick to answer any questions we had. The lobby of the apartment place was so light and bright and filled with plants and cute decor. This place was the best part of Livingston!!!

Had a problem with parking, busy downtown and felt a bit uncomfortable parking 2 blocks away in front of a person's home residence. Great stay otherwise.

Everything was perfect and looked exactly like the photos, very quaint. We enjoyed our overnight stay immensely and will be back to book again! The property manager was very friendly and prompt with returning my messages! Thank you for wonderful service and hope to be back soon!

We have stayed in Livingston before but our first time at this lovely apartment. The apartment was super clean and comfortable and was an easy walk to all of the shops and restaurants and Pubs. We will stay again!

Workers repairing windows and painting. One air conditioner installed that blew tropical warm air and one never installed. This, in the first week of July. Enough said.
3.0
The home was clean but just not what we expected. We decided to only stay 2 of the 3 nights that we paid for because just didn't like the feel of the place.
5.0
Super cool spot - so close to so many parks and homes. It is right in the middle of the downtown - so easy for us with a baby! We could come back to the apartment and walk to so many great show and restraints making things so easy after a long day out.
3.0
Convenience to center of town. To costly for having to look out at ugly brick walls. No view of beautiful Montana scenery.

The location was perfect for downtown Livingston. The historic feeling and high ceiling as as well as the grand downstairs entrance was really awesome.
The apartment was perfect for a couple. The bedroom was comfortable with a very nice bed and bathroom. The only bathroom for the apartment was through the bedroom. The “pullout sofa” in the living room was not very accommodating or comfortable as a sleeping area.
Overall, the apartment was super cute and clean. I would recommend it for a couple staying and don’t count on the couch as something adults would be be super comfortable sleeping on. The kitchen had everything you could need.
It was a very easy check in and check out! We would stay there again!

Place was clean and cozy, it had everything we needed to cook our meals and I loved how it is beautifully updated but you can still see the history of the building in the details. the front door of the building lobby area is very heavy, at first we thought it was locked so just push harder than you'd think on it :)

I’d go again but not in the summer. I think it would be too hot.

We enjoyed our stay in Livingston. Great vibrant historic town.
The apartment, while small, is perfect for a couple. The AC units are noisy but luckily the heatwave broke the day we got there. Building is quiet and well located.

Perfect spot for two people. Very clean and comfortable apartment in a cool and quiet building in the best location. We were able to walk everywhere in town and had no issues finding street parking. Host was very communicative and check in was so easy. Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely space! I could honestly live in this rental. Delightful decor with homey touches such as vintage furniture and fittings. Great kitchen with everything I needed other than a microwave (?). My only disappointment was that it was so hot I had to sleep on the couch in the living room- it desperately needed an AC unit in the bedroom.

This is such a beautiful rental! I could easily live there. Love the vintage furniture and fittings. I don’t have Netflix at home so fun to geek out on that.
Only complaint was it was way too hot to sleep in the bedroom- needed another AC in there- so had a restless sleep on the fold out. Also- why no microwave?

Reviewer Comments:
This was definitely out of our norm but we wanted something a little bit different. The old charm of the Downtown Lovely was even more than expected. We were surprised by the classic elements but enjoyed it nonetheless. We were concerned about the little a/c units which were not in the windows upon arrival but forgot how cool the nights are in MT unlike the humid hot nights in OH. All but one day we popped in the screens and the room stayed pleasant. The accommodations were clean, the amenities were great, and we liked the convenience of the location.

The apartment was literally in the perfect location to explore all of what Montana, especially the Livingston area, has to offer. Day trips to Yellowstone, Chico Hot Springs and just enjoying downtown Livingston were just what the doctor ordered. The downtown area of Livingston feels like you walked into a modern western movie- small shops and varied restaurant offerings and all in walking distance to the apartment. The apartment was a perfect size for the two of us. It was outfitted with everything we needed and then some. Special touches like the disposable earplugs by the bed and the desk in the dining room to get a little business done were so appreciated. The apartment is clean as can be and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal or reheat leftovers. The easy check-in and check-out were wonderful as well. Really well done, welcoming and special. We will return again.

Perfect place, perfect location, perfect town
The apartment was small but perfect for my wife and me. Kitchen has everything needed (including coffee from owner). Space is clean and comfortable. Bed is comfortable Building is charming. Apartment is quiet. Location to town is spectacular. LOVE Livingston. Communication with owner was amazing and nothing was needed during stay. There is literally nothing I would change except to make my stay longer
