Wonderful rural retreat.

Beautiful rural location, friendly host and really comfortable and well decorated b and b with an outstanding breakfast.

Nice hotel, well appointed but rather small double bedroom. Good shower. Very helpful host.

It was a nice breakfast served in a hamper. It suited my tastes but may not suit everyone. There isn't a breakfast room as such.

A quiet, relaxing break surrounded by beautiful countryside. Just perfect!

Location was spot on for a quiet holiday and just a short drive from the beautiful coastline. Breakfast was delivered in a basket each morning which we ate outside in the sunshine listening to the birds. It included different things each day and was all delicious and plentiful. It was incredibly peaceful, no street lights, no pavements, no busy traffic which is just what we were looking for. The whole place was spotless and the room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Stephen was a great host. Thankyou for a lovely break.

Our stay was brilliant, the room was gorgeous and the highlight was the breakfast delivered to our door each morining! W

The room was LOVELY! The bathroom was gorgeous, shower was great and there was plenty of storage for all of our bits and pieces - we also had our own key and could come and go as we pleased without disturbing anyone, which was great.

The only downside was that you could hear people in the corridor and in the other rooms. This didn’t disturb us at all, but we were conscious that we could be heard in other rooms too. Also, the tap ran very slow in the bathroom - but this is a very small element of an otherwise gorgeous bathroom!

Good for a short break

Stephen was very welcoming. Comfortable bed and awesome shower. Good breakfast.

Although the breakfast was good,it would have been nice to have a choice. We were given Granola and various pastries on the first morning but I don't eat Granola and I only like a plain croissant. My husband ended up eating it all. The next morning there were cornflakes so if we had been given a choice I could have had them . I ended up pretty hungry but my husband had a good breakfast each morning. The only other thing was lack of space in room 2. I struggled getting round the bed.

Very good

Tasteful decor and quality linen/towels.

The room was lovely, but for a three night stay would have liked the bin to be emptied and tea/coffee/biscuits to be be replenished.

Spacious, homely and welcoming

We absolutely loved Moorview. The room was amazing and it felt very welcoming and homely. The breakfast is super cute and delicious…hot pastries. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful room in lovely countryside

Breakfast was super and arrived promptly at 0830hrs in a hamper. Lots of choice in the basket, pastires, yoghurts, cereal, juice etc and ground coffee. Lovely grounds to sit out in in the sunshine.

Nothing really, it was all lovely. I suppose if I were to be picky, breakfast not arriving until 0830hrs and then checkout at 10am is quite tight, but only because there was so much breakfast to eat and we didn't want to rush it

Easy to park and very relaxing. Stephen, the host was welcoming and flexible and we would definitely return.

Private entrance, well equipped snd good size shower room, comfy bed, good size kitchenette and lounge, breakfast delivered with flexibility for us.

No shelf in the shower cubicle abs a slightly larger tv I. The lounge would be better.

Brilliant place run by great people. Highly recommended.

Everything was brilliant. Absolute pleasure to stay in their wonderful house. Very clean, comfortable bed with a choice of pillows, and a great location. Good quality soap, towels, coffee, tea, etc all add up to a perfect place for a holiday.

Exceptional

Perfection! We had a fabulous stay for a couple of nights (wish it were longer) Hosts were amazing, could not do enough for you. Very attentive, a warm welcome from start to finish. Immaculate throughout. Had everything you need nothing was forgotten. Very large comfortable bed, huge bathroom and the kitchenette was ideal, especially for having a BBQ in our own secluded garden. And, in the sunshine it was bliss. Not a sound around apart from the odd bird or sheep! Just what we were looking for. Breakfast was great, different both days, everything was thought of, juice, teas, coffee, cereal, pastry's (warm!), rolls, fruit, yogarts, meat, cheese's certainly did not go hungry!! Again having breakfast in the garden was delightful. Moorview was far enough away from the hustle and bustle but Bideford was in very easy reach (5 mins) Perfect location for walks, runs, beeches, restaurants and bars. A place for everyone to enjoy. Definitely on our list to return. Thank you

All round Nice peaceful stay.

Excellent Breakfast Delivered to our room door, it was very fresh with a good choice and variety, There was a courtyard which was enclosed and peaceful or a grass paddock Area where we could sit and enjoy whilst only a few metres from our room.

Road to the property was a little narrow, So Drive Carefully.

Very high end accommodation comfy bed, clean and lovely bathroom with high quality towels and accessories. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to your door. Use of outdoor facilities. Host very welcoming.

Ticking clock but that just my preference (battery removed) sorted issue.

Great stay.

We loved everything about our stay at Moorview House. The attention to detail and the little extras were the perfect touch. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.

Nothing apart from the weather but that was beyond the hosts control!!

Just faultless

Great location as a base for exploring North Devon. Quiet, countryside location but also really close to town and all amenities. Our host was so welcoming and helped us by pointing out the local points of interest and towns to visit etc. Our room was immaculately presented with homely touches and decorated beautifully, very tasteful and stylish. I’ve never visited a place that was so spotlessly clean! The beautiful breakfast hamper was a delight too. I can’t recommend Moorview highly enough.

We wish we could have stayed for longer

This property had the perfect balance of modern and country. it was absolutely spotlessly clean. I think it was Stephen that greeted us, he was really welcoming, polite and friendly. he showed us around and gave us some information on local restaurants and pubs to visit. The room itself was well laid out. We loved the continental hamper for breakfast, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was top end with it’s decor, huge bath and very funky loo. My friend and I feel that the owners are proud to show their attention to detail and their hard work putting this place together definitely paid off. it’s a gorgeous place. The property had plentiful parking space, a gorgeous garden area and when we arrived, we noticed that there was a room available should you like to bring your pet. brilliant! we would love to visit again :-)

A beautiful stay with wonderful hosts!

Absolutely incredible property, beautifully decorated. Everything that you could need (and more)! The host was really friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast hamper was delicious. Everything was so thoughtful, we loved the small touches. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area!

I loved the breakfast hamper each morning with baked goods yoghurts etc. The room was immaculate and lots of attention to small detail. Great shower! Cosy comfortable room with a great view of the cows in the morning and sunset.

Great summer stay; a beautiful garden along with a lovely breakfast!

Breakfast was lovely! We received a basket in front of our door every morning around 8.00 a.m. This way, we were free to eat whenever we wanted to. We always had breakfast in the garden, which was great! The basket contained several item, such as: yogurt, milk, juice, pastries and/or bread ... Coffee and tea were available in our room. Next to this, the host gave us some information on what to visit in the area. We definitely enjoyed visiting the Valley of Rocks!

The room was tidy and clean, but quite small when you both bring a suitcase with you. But, this was only a minor thing! Great place!

Excellence in a confined space.

Superb accommodation, with no expense spared. First class shower room. Excellent breakfast. On-site parking, and access to a pleasant garden.

The room was simply too small - we just about managed to eat our breakfast on the tiny fitted table, but there were no easy chairs, and only minimal storage space. We brought some games with us - Scrabble and chess - but there was nowhere to set them up. It's absolutely not a place to pass time on a rainy day.

Exellent hosts! I love cleanliness and this certainly was immaculate. Lovely comfortable bed.

The breakfast although was continental was given in a lovely way. all fresh in a cool bag so that we could go outside to their lovely grounds and enjoy. Location was ok once we were told by our hosts there was another road in.
