Preporucam za ugodan i miran boravak

Boravili smo 4 dana, 3 nocenja u Villi. Soba je prostrana i cista, vlasnici gostoprimivi, jako smo zadovoljni boravkom. 10min hoda do samog centra grada Cresa. Vila se nalazi van grada sto daje potpuni mir i tisinu za ugodan boravak. Prva plaza koja je stvarno predivna udaljena je 5min hodanja od ville. Dorucak raznovrstan. Bazen je cist i oko bazena se moze opuštati.

Sve je bilo odlicno

Herzliche Gastgeber, saubere und moderne Zimmer

Man wird von ausgesprochen herzlichen Gastgebern empfangen, die sich wirklich Mühe geben, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Es wird einem sofort Kaffee angeboten, der dazu noch ausgesprochen lecker ist. Die Zimmer sind toll und haben alles, was man braucht. Ich hatte keine Zeit vor Ort zu frühstücken, als hat man mir vier (!!) Brötchen gemacht, die mit allem belegt waren, was man so gerne hat. Dazu etwas Obst. Es geht wirklich nicht besser.

Das Kopfkissen ist zu hart und so steif, dass man nicht darin einsinken kann. Wenn man diesbezüglich empfindlich ist, sollte man sein eigenes Kopfkissen mitbringen. Aber mehr gibt es wirklich nicht zu "meckern".

Very good facilities but poor service if you want to speak English.

Very good decoration and facility. Nice view to see the swimming pool. We like the swimming pool.

The swimming pool was closed 30 mins earlier. After check out, we were told we can take a shower after swimming but actually it’s a small shower next to swimming pool. Can’t change to our original dress. Need to go to the toilet to change it. The service doesn’t fit the good facilities. What a pity! Especially the female receptionist, she is not friendly at all.

A real gem of a find on the beautiful island of Cres.

It was hosted by a lovely couple who were extremely helpful and very pleasant, nothing was too much trouble for them. The large room was comfortable, spacious and spotless as was the entire apartment block. The pool and surrounding area again was spotless and very pleasant to spent a few hours there. We were very lucky to have found this lovely apartment block it was a bit of walk into town or the beach but we soon found shortcuts. A night cap on the balcony provided you with a beautiful view of the night sky.

A great choice for a family holiday!

We had a fantastic stay with our 3 children (2, 9 and 12 yrs). The apartment was very spacious, with great kitchen and bathroom facilities. Air con in every room made it a very comfortable stay. Cleaning service came everyday, with fresh towels and there were pool towels provide by the pool. Pool area was great. Never too busy and plenty of sun loungers. Free parking space wax also great. At first we were a bit worried about the location, as it is on the edge of town, but actually it was perfect. You get countryside views from the balcony and pool, yet it is only a short walk to the beach or town. There is a long stretch of beach which offered something for all of our our children. Sloped shingle beach for our 2 year old and diving boards and assault course for our older kids. There are also kayak rentals, water sports, trampolines and other amusements nearby. Plenty of choices of places to eat in Cres town and lots of places to visit within a half hour drive. A great choice for a family holiday. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and always on hand should you need anything.

Could be nearer town, but then you wouldn’t have the lovely view!

Very nice and pleasant staff, super friendly. They kept some of our stuff in the freezer for us. Nice breakfast, beautiful pool, very nicely designed and built place. Free parking. First restaurant 10 min walk away, the beach 15 min walk, marina 20 min

Would be nice to have coffee available the whole day. Maybe a suggestion for the future.

soulless, cold, lost, noisy and worst value for money ever!

I've been to Croatia every year for the past ten years and I was used to work in tourism industry so in terms of flat and hotel choice, I'm particularly sophiticated. I won't recommend Villa Orhideja at all. Some reasons are related to the Villas structure itself, others are more linked with the current economic crisis I guess. The building is a kind of a concrete low rent housing on top of the Cres hill, at 17 mn on foot from the main port. The problem is not that you have to walk through cobble streets on a very steep slop to get to the hotel on foot, it is that 10 mn before arriving, you cross wasteland with building materials in construction scattered on the ground all around the Villas. So please, look at google earth first, what I didn't do, and look at the environment before making your choice. Be carreful too : big supermarket is 20mn walk so when it is 30 degrees from 10am or that you have walked 18 or 20 km during the day, shopping become a challenge. Absolutely no soundproofing. The first two nights, neighbours below with her stilletos until 4am the whole night. Balcony are open and connected to rooms on the same level. You just have to go on the balconny and your enter the adjoining flat by the main bow window. unbelievable. We had never saw that before. In terms of security, we may wonder indeed if it has been really done by the book. Photos on booking are top. Our decision was based on them. Like everybody, we told that it was a nice well designed and very comfy building with its swimming pool which is really nice for sure. But price is absolutely insane. And it didn't worth it for sure. So i suspect that due to economic crisis and the fact that the building has opened during covid season, they need to make it profitable as quick as they can but the whole experience has been really disappointing indeed. You will be surprised by the asbence of greeness around the villas, though the land next to the villas are agricultural.

Nice, clean, great location but too expensive for what you get.

Great location, only 10 minutes walk from the city center and from the beach. There are not many houses or traffic nearby which gives you a quiet stay. Breakfast was ok, the room was nice and luxury equipped. Extra bonus to the great shower place and cleanliness of the room. The parking space is also a nice thing to have and although the villa was fully booked there was enough space for everybody.

The room was too close to the reception so we heard everything happening in the reception which was loud from time to time. Also, the room has direct access to the pool area - which is causing a lack of privacy as well as loud guests enjoying the pool. Last morning one family was having breakfast literally in front of the balcony of our room so it was a feeling like they were in our room. Although luxury equipped there is a lack of details in the interior which gives a cold feeling, too much hotel style... Overall too expensive for the final product.

Wonderful place to discover Cress

We spent 11 wonderful days in a quiet place 10 minutes from the turquoise coves of the city. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our requests. Breakfast was served with fresh fruits and delicious bread. Everything was new and very well kept. We had access to the laundry and could use the common areas at our convenience.
