Für eine Übernachtung zweckmäßig

Individuell und künstlerisch ansprechend gestaltete Wände, sehr großzügige Wohneinheiten, gute Lage, ruhig

Das Hotel ist leicht zu übersehen, es gibt keine Rezeption, die Schlüsselübergabe verlief befremdlich, der Angestellte wirkte sehr verwirrt. Türe zum Zimmer schließt nicht richtig, Licht im Bad nur durch Bewegungsmelder, war sehr lästig. Obwohl ich darum bat um 8 Uhr einen Kaffee zu bekommen, weil ich morgens früh los musste um die Fähre zu bekommen, war weder der Angestellte noch Kaffee da. Eine Stunde später rief er mich an, wo ich denn sei, er hätte extra Kaffee gemacht...Leider eine Stunde zu spät.

The parking was on the narrow street outside and was purely a matter of luck if a) one was available

Breakfast was not special, fruit squash not juice, cornflakes were soft and stale, adequate at best

The lighting in the room was hardly adequate with strange cloth light shades, the shower had a full length mirror next to the toilet which was at best strange and some may have found it alarming - depending on their body shape. Only one full sized towel. No drink making facilities in the room. Overall, poor value for money.

Belle maison d hote au centre ville de Calais

L accueil, très sympathique. La maison en elle même et la décoration surprenante. La chambre était très propre et la déco soignée, la salle de bain bien équipée... grandes parties communes. Le petit déjeuner très bien. A deux pas du centre ville. Je recommande vivement.

C est une belle et vieille maison, avec ses avantages et inconvénients.

Något av en besvikelse. Fint, charmigt hostel som säkert funkar bättre under varmare årstider än kalla vinterdagar.

Mysigt boende. Ganska centralt placerat och säkert helt okej en varmare årstid.

Det stora rummet med högt i tak var alldeles för kallt nu i januari. Det saknades ordentlig uppvärmning. Bara ett litet element och en liten värmefläkt för hela rummet och badrummet. Det räckte inte långt och tyvärr kunde personalen inte hitta någon lösning på detta, trots att jag bad om det.

Stay in a real old French hotel with lots off character and helpful friendly staff

Beautiful atmospheric building. Friendly staff. Central location only short walk from the railway station.

It would have been good to have tea and coffee and water in the room

Lit 2 places confortable et bon petit déjeuné

Lit une place catastrophique, accueil de la part du personnel totalement déplorable, pas de bonjour et des ordres dès notre arrivée, ambiance pesante au sein de la maison et AUCUNE insonorisation : Réveillés à 6:00 du matin par une femme qui avait visiblement décidé de déménager la chambre du dessus en talons aiguilles.

Der erste Eindruck vom Hotel war gut. Individuell eingerichtet, freundlicher Empfang. Unser Zimmer sah niedlich aus. In der Nähe waren Restaurants und Bars. Leider konnten wir nicht frühstücken, da unsere Fährzeit deutlich vorverlegt wurde. Der Frühstücksraum war nett, der Tisch schon für das Frühstück gedeckt. Alles in einem individuellen Stil.

Es roch sehr stark nach Raumparfum. Leider war das Bad nicht richtig sauber. Desinfektionstücher waren da von Vorteil.

brilliant and worth the stay

Big rooms, nice dining area, The Bar and the Beer ,and most importantly the hospitality ,the customer service even though they speak little english they seem to understand our needs, so we will definitely come back in the future as its in a brilliant location

Parking was lucky as we got right out the front door, but its a narrow street for fist come first serve bases.

An atmospheric place as base to discover Calais

a charming old house, beautifully renovated and decorated. Comes with a common room and garden open to all guests, allowing to mix and mingle if so desired. Bicycle indoor parking We had a lovely stay!

De inkleding van het hotel is zeer mooi, ook omdat het allemaal bijpassend is. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en altijd bereid als er hulp nodig was. Het ontbijt was meer als goed!!

De regendouche werkte niet dat was een zonde.

Séjour très agréable

Chambre très agréable et la literie vraiment confortable. Très jolie salle d’eau.

Petit déjeuner un peu trop industriel. Ça manque de produits faits maison. Un fruit frais ou un yaourt serait aussi le bienvenu.

Would definitely stay again if I have a late crossing again as very easy to find.

Great location for arriving late off the eurotunnel and needing somewhere to stay

Wonderful place, fantastic staff

The staff were wonderful. Our Eurotunnel crossing was very delayed, so we didn't arrive until after midnight. The staff waited up to let us in and were very understanding. I was extremely grateful for their kindness.

It was so homely and unusual and easy going Bedroom was fantastic

the garden has great potential . Hope it recovers from the drought There were a lot of things like bins which could be tidied away

Great overnight stay

The decor was quirky throughout. There was a social area with a table football and pool table, which was great for families. Our room was spacious and had a separate room for our child, which she loved. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff member was very helpful.

The shower didn't run very well.

Fortunate to get parking right outside the hotel. Lovely friendly atmosphere. 10 minutes walk to town, and 10 minutes drive to the shuttle. Lovely Georgian style property.

Timing on the Light sensor in the bathroom was too short.

Great place near ferry/tunnel

Great location close to Le Shuttle/ferry, welcoming and helpful host, large family suites with lots of beds in separate rooms, very large communal room for hanging out with different areas and table football / pool, parking right outside on street, great showers.

Some of the bedding was very synthetic, lighting in bedrooms on top floor was a bit murky and no bedside lights, top floor family suites not very cosy -large and sparsely furnished and had feel of a modernist art gallery, middle floor double bedrooms cosier and decorated more subtly. Breakfast typically French with croissants/bread/cerial also ham and cheese slices.

Interesting place to stay and, for us at at least, a good price.

Quirky house, very roomy, with much old, some eccentric, interesting decor. Communal breakfast. with good choice of food.

No secure parking, but finding street parking relatively near the door was not too difficult on this occasion.
