Great boutique hotel with fantastic service.
Staff and service are exceptional. Breakfast very good. Facilities very nice. Room very comfortable.
Walk to beach was a bit tedious, but not too bad. View from room was partially blocked by roof top and trees. Noise from pool area was a factor in our room (HA-1A).

Trying hard. Good but erratic.
Good but as with many meals erratic.
Long waits between order and delivery of food at Beach. Up to 90 minutes. Too much musical entertainment and often too loud for conversation.

Beautiful Vacation Property But Beware of Covid Restrictions
Mount Cinnamon is a very beautiful property with its own private beach and two restaurants. My husband and I stayed in one of the haciendas, which was beautifully decorated in bright colors, and had a view of the pool below and the ocean beyond. The bed was very comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The staff were lovely people—most accommodating, professional, and pleasant. The restaurants were quite good.
We would have enjoyed our stay if it hadn’t been for the new and largely absurd Covid restrictions mandated by the Grenadian government a few days or weeks before our arrival. Mount Cinnamon did not inform us of these new rules, which were put in place after a week-long carnival celebration in August. BEWARE: We could not go onto the private beach or into the ocean at all during the weekend, or during the week after 1:00 PM. Restaurants are closed except for takeout. There was also a 7:00 PM nightly curfew during the week. The hotel insisted that guests wear masks everywhere on the property, even outside, even if there is no one else around. Mount Cinnamon is just down the road from the police station, so this probably had something to do with their overly strict enforcement of these rules. (We went to Magazine Beach, a few miles away, one day and were able to walk on the beach and swim in the ocean all afternoon.) When I asked the Mount Cinnamon guest services manager why they didn’t tell us about these new rules, she replied that if we had booked directly with the hotel, we would have gotten an email earlier that week. I told her this was ridiculous, since it’s very easy to communicate by sending messages to the hotel and guests on the Booking.com app. We felt completely cheated, as we had only a week there and the beach was the reason for our wanting to be there. If they had told us just 3 days in advance, we could have cancelled for free and made other plans but by the time we got there, it was too late to make other arrangements. So the management gets a big F for failing to inform us. It has a left a bad taste in our mouths and I doubt we’ll ever return there.

Just what the doctor ordered
After 18 months of living in the UK dealing with the pandemic, this two week break was everything we hoped for and more. The relaxed yet organised and safe approach to enjoy your break was evident immediately upon arrival. The general manager Kevin and his team put us at ease immediately upon arrival. The room, beach front and facilities were just perfect. The staff are so helpful and can’t do enough for you. Teon taking us snorkelling in his own time and teaching me paddle boarding. Shauna was amazing at organising everything we needed within or outside the resort. Introducing us to a local taxi chap Ashton who took us around the island and sorted bookings at local restaurants. Everyone was good but these people, including the GM Kevin were exceptional. I used to travel a lot pre pandemic and never felt inclined to leave reviews but this holiday was well needed and we felt very fortunate to have experienced grenda staying at mount cinnamon.
Initially we thought service was really slow in the restaurant and there were issues when the restaurant in the hotel (not beach cabana) had to adapt to having a lot of customers at once. However, upon reflection the Grenada people have a slower pace and perhaps accepting this from the outset will reduce any potential frustrations
