Un appartement cosy au cœur de Wimereux

L'appartement était très propre, fonctionnel et à deux pas des commerces et de la mer. Mathieu est très réactif et aux petits soins pour les locataires. Je recommande vivement cet appartement.

We enjoyed our stay, the apartment is nice and also clean.

Location is very good in the centre of town, close to restaurants and easy walk to the beach (5 mins).

The apartment is on the 4th floor and we had a lot of luggage. There is no lift and this was a struggle.

L'appartement est bien situé au centre de Wimereux et à 5 minutes à pied de la plage. L'hôte est disponible et très accueillant. La literie est de bonne qualité.

Good overnight for us, but would be better on a lower floor

Difficult to find keys until Matthew put us straight! Clean, neat and all facilities needed.

Were told it was 4th floor, but what a long way up without a lift! Also view is over rooftops rather than sea.

nur im Sommer geeignet

Unser Vermieter war sehr engagiert. Wir konnten nach kurzer Kommunikation bereits um 16Uhr anstatt wie vereinbart um 17Uhr in die Wohnung. Die Lage der Wohnung ist super, sehr zentral, ca 300-400m zum Strand und eine sehr gute Bäckerei vor der Tür.

Die Wohnung liegt im 4. Obergeschoß (ohne AUfzug), hat aber anders als beworben keinen Meerblick. Die Heizung schaffte nicht mehr her als 19,5°. Uns wurde daher kurzfristig ein Heizlüfter zur Verfügung gestellt Die Wohnung war etwas schmuddelig und ältlich (überall abgeplatzte Farbe und Risse im Putz). Im Wohnzimmer stand ein durchgesessenes Schlafsofa, bei dem man ohne zusätzliches Kissen das Gestänge gespürt hat. Die Fenster sind neu mit Doppelverglasung, dennoch ist ab 5 Uhr morgen der Verkehrslärm der Straße deutlich zu hören (Müllabfuhr, Motorradfahrer). Parken vor dem Haus ist extrem teuer 2h=20€. Aber ca 100m weiter ist das Parken kostenlos. Zu den vereinbarten Kosten kommen nochmal 25€ in bar für Bettwäsche und Handtücher dazu. Sehr unangenehm waren Malerarbeiten im Treppenhaus, die dazu führten, daß ein beißender Gestank auch in der Wohnung vorhanden war. Selbst mit viel Lüften war das innnerhalb einer Woche nicht vollständig zu entfernen.

Perfect stopover on the way back to the UK.

Great location in easy (5 mins) walking distance of the beach. Opposite a boulangerie and other shops on the doorstep. Easy parking with a short walk to the flat. Everything you need with modern interior and fittings. Excellent communication and instructions on arrival.

We didn’t mind but it’s on the 4th floor so lots of stairs with bags. We had the windows open and because of its central location it is a bit noisy. Would be quiet with the windows shut.

Good location, quite central, apartment was compact but quite well appointed and modern.

There was an issue with the keys not being left in the lock box, tried to call but no answer initially. Then a whatsapp message came through from the owner, after waiting a little while after we were already delayed (not the owners fault of course) we finally got the keys from previous occupant who forgot to leave them! By the time we got in, unpacked and went out for some food (literally anything would have done!) everything was closed! A very unfortunate experience all round on this occasion.

Excellent apartment and will definitely bear this in mind for any future trips!

The property was spotless and very well situated for a stop over on the way back to the UK after our holiday in south of France. The bed was very comfortable and the kids said the sofa bed was also comfortable so we all had a great sleep after a long drive! Would definitely recommend.

The noise from the street below but it was Saturday night and it didn’t last long.

Would not recommend and would not return.

wimereaux is a nice town

Access is 4 floors up with 84 steps, no warning of this. Safety- 4 flights of stairs and no sign of smoke or fire alarms in communal areas. fire extinguishers on alternate landings. Unsure whether smoke alarm in apartment was working as no indicator light. No carbon monoxide monitor/alarm. No fire exit plan displayed and no instructions on arrival. The kitchen cupboard handles hadn’t been wiped as sticky and marked so I had to clean. clearly during Covid this is important. The quality of pillows was disgusting-this with the unsafe feeling led to worst nights sleep we’ve had whilst in France. Were not told of Wi-fi until too late-as we didn’t have Wi-fi could not pick up msg until we had departed. No instructions displayed in Apt. Parking provision not reflective of description-you have to find on street parking. Reviews do not reflect this property at all in our experience nor does on-line description.
